I need to see the thor love and thunder sets now I haven't pre-ordered Thor's Hammer yet, my wallet says I'm not worthy. Ya I'm dieing to see what the 2 Thor Love and Thunder sets will be! I've heard rumors that the Thor Love and Thunder teaser trailer will premiere during the Superbowl. That means that pictures for the actual Lego sets should leak or be revealed soon. Some Lego catalogs (like the Australian one) say that the sets are supposed to release on March 1st, while North America will get them on April 26th. Is that's true, the 2 Thor sets should be revealed, since we've seen pretty much everything coming on March 1st I'm most excited to see the minifigures of Gorr and Jane Foster Thor! I think Korg and Valkyrie also have new outfits. Thor's new look from the concept arts looks fairly decent, but at least all the characters look really colorful! Besides Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and Spiderman Across The Spiderverse Part 1, Thor Love and Thunder is probably my 3rd most anticipated superhero movie this year! Quote
Scarilian Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 (edited) I'm still expecting us to see the Ant-Man set (76219) before we see the Thor L&T stuff, I don't see why they have not shown that set yet... unless that got pushed back slightly due to similar issues to the other mechs. 14 hours ago, Flaming Bricks said: I've heard rumors that the Thor Love and Thunder teaser trailer will premiere during the Superbowl. Movie marketing has changed so movies generally recieve a trailer around 3 months prior to the film. With Thor L&T getting delayed to July I would not expect a full trailer until April, and even then it'd make more sense to try and avoid advertising Thor L&T much until Doctor Strange 2 has released in early May. Instead I expect we'll see a new trailer for Doctor Strange 2 that will tease more of the multiverse elements and probably a trailer for Moon Knight. If we get something for Thor L&T I'd expect it to be a short teaser that will show us Starlord, Thor, Valkyrie, Sif, Gorr and probably end with a shot of Jane Foster's Thor wielding Mjolnir. Set's would probably wind up just featuring some of those characters anyway with the potential inclusion of Korg & Meik 16 hours ago, The_Chosen_1 said: I've also voted with my wallet on this one. Even though there are several things I would have liked to have seen done differently, I still want these types of sets to continue. I want to see these type of sets continue, but I worry for the quality of future similar style models given the details this one is lacking. While the Triquetra symbol is optional as it only appears very briefly in specific scenes, the detailing on the slanted edges of the hammer are crucial for any model trying to pass itself off as an official Thor's Hammer display piece. You don't necessarily need the detail on the end of the hammer if you were going for playability, but it's clear they were going for primarily display and they just did not include the details in any form. The detailing is generic enough that you could have had 8 Sticker prints of the same design and it'd have worked, which arguably would have made sense considering they have different build styles but similar slopes. It's frustrating personally because even the image they used displayed the hammer with the symbols on the edges and the Triquetra symbol , so even comparing it on the official box art makes it look underwhelming and incomplete. If the $20 knock-off from 2020 can include printed slope pieces, why can't Lego even include stickers? Let alone the 2021 knock-off that can actually be held and includes stickers, prints, lights, lightning effects, a rotating stand, display panel and an entire model of Asgard that fits inside... Please Lego, at least try and prove your stuff is better... :/ Edited February 3, 2022 by Scarilian Quote

I'm still going off the April (April 26th) release for the Thor L&T sets which was information we got on 11th January while the catalogs were released over a week prior. The March release in the catalogs was something that was leaked on the 9th October before the delay on the 18th October from May to July, so it's likely the catalogs were working off an older date for the set release and the sets were pushed back roughly a month - probably to avoid an Eternals situation where we saw the sets before we saw the trailer. I think Doctor Strange 2 will be the talk of the Superbowl and then in March we'll get the Thor L&T trailer followed by the Thor L&T sets in April. Either way, I feel the mech set would'nt be as closely guarded by Lego and it'd make more sense for that to either be officially revealed or leak prior to us seeing the Thor L&T stuff. Just in general it seems that movie associated stuff is more closely guarded by Lego while the mechs just randomly get leaks or official reveals at odd times. Quote

That makes sense that Lego is closely guarding those Thor L&T set pictures, because they know fans are dieing to have a better look at the film. I know recently with the Eternals sets that Lego leaked the sets themselves in their official catalogs. I thought that Lego also revealed the Shang Chi and Spiderman NWH sets before we had official teasers for those films. I don't think we'll have to wait too long for the Ant-Man mech and Thor sets Quote
Flaming Bricks Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 (edited) Do you think that now that Lego has made a buildable Ironman and a buildable Thor's Hammer that we could see a buildable Captain America shield? Maybe a buildable Loki's scepter, Ironman arc reactor, Ten Rings, Hawkeye bow, Eye of Agamotto, Stormbreaker, and buildable Tesseract? Edited February 3, 2022 by Flaming Bricks Quote
Flaming Bricks Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Does that Ant-Man mech set come with Wasp also? I would love a proper comic book inspired Ant-Man and The Wasp! If not wasp, maybe a Ghost or Yellow Jacket mech for Ant-Man to fight? I know it's $20, so I should have to minifigures. Quote

Hopefully by the time Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania releases in 2023, we'll have a better minifigure of her. If it's true that Wasp is getting a mech alongside Ant-Man, them Lego should make a new mold now, so that they can use it in the future. A microfigure of Wasp would be really cool to see at some point down the line, especially since we've gotten so many microfigures of Ant-Man. I know this happened in What If, but it would be cool to see a giant brick built Wasp, similar to the Civil War Ant-Man, because that would be really nice to have in my collection. Giant Zombie Wasp, now that sounds insane! Quote

Indeed. Making it the same as Antman is going to the cheapest and easiest answer for Lego. Another new mold that will not be balanced specially if it will have translucent parts. Antman would look really awful. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 (edited) I love the concept of the Thor's Hammer set, but it does feel extremely low-effort. How are there NO printed details for a Mjolnir of this size? I even would've taken stickers over nothing. I like the build itself and the display base is nice, but it just feels unfinished to me. The treasure room's inclusion is cool, but would it really have been that hard to recolor the Nano Gauntlet mold into gold so we could have an accurate right-handed Infinity Gauntlet? That feels like a bit much to ask for, but given the lack of detail in the hammer itself it would have been nice. The handle strap is also way too small, but that's a pretty minor thing. Overall I like the build, but like other recent sets, it feels like the designers just gave up at the end when it was on the verge of perfection. I really want to see these large prop replica-style sets continue, but this one definitely could've been better. I'd love an Infinity Stone collection D2C, I fully expect LEGO to do the Nano Gauntlet sometime soon, and I think Cap's shield would be an interesting challenge. I'm also waiting for more Marvel "helmets" - I also don't know why we don't have Spider-Man already. We could get one comic-based one and one for the MCU, and we could get sets for Black Panther, Captain Marvel, War Machine, Star-Lord, Ant-Man, etc. Edited February 6, 2022 by GoldenNinja3000 Quote

The major obstacle LEGO faced with the details on the hammer head itself is that the major details are on the sloped sides. Instead of the actual slope bricks that they're using now, they would've needed to figure out a solution to mount tiles at an angle so that they could sticker over them, which could have stability issues and also then lead to the question: which tiles? They have 2x6 now, but that wouldn't fill the space by itself. Perhaps 2x4 plates with one row of studs could've worked, but then they get studs. It would've ended up with lots of tiles with individual stickers, interrupting the pattern anyway and leaving loads of room for error. All in all, what that actually points is that perhaps this wasn't the best scale. If they had a gone a bit smaller, then tiles in the current parts library could've been used for the sloped sides and accurately capture the detail in easy-to-apply stickers. Instead, paradoxically, we get a massive build, but less actual detail. Then again, "life size" is one of the major selling points here, so I see why they went with this scale. Quote

True, but LEGO's put stickers on those 2x4 slope bricks before and honestly I would've preferred a ton of stickers that had to be lined up over no detail at all. If you don't like the stickers you can just leave them off anyway. Quote

Flaming Bricks Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Last year Lego released a spoiler and accurate Avengers Endgame final battle set, so future spoiler No Way Home sets could happen. I understand that the Endgame set was redone as part of the Infinity Saga, but it would be stupid of Lego to not want to market off of Spiderman NWH's success. I really want to get an updated Tobey Maguire Spiderman, Andrew Garfield Spiderman, William Dafoe Green Goblin, Alfred Molina Doc Oc, Lizard, Sandman, and Jamie Foxx Electro. I'm really wanting a Statue of Liberty battle set. The set could be the size of one of those buildable HP figures for the statue herself, you can have some scaffolding around it, and all 3 Spiderman can battle the Sinister Five if you will. It would be perfect and you can also include a buildable Captain America shield that can drop from lady liberty's clutches. It would be a good play and display set that every Marvel fan would want after seeing NWH. Lego please make it happen! Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 It's only a matter of time guys. It seems like half the people here are convinced that since we haven't had any confirmation of any NWH sets this year, it means that we'll never get anything at all. Yes, it took us 2 years to get good endgame sets, but this Spider-man we're talking about. This guy gets entire waves every year dedicated just to him and his villains, it's going to happen, I just think it will either be in the latter half of this year, or the beginning of the next. It all depends on when Marvel handed out their info... 2 hours ago, TurnOffTheDark said: is anyone else still praying for a spoiler nwh set of some kind? First it was the Raimi sets, then the fake minifig series, after that the Uncharted set, the tower of fate, this guy on Eurobricks, and sprinkle in a few fake star wars set names for good measure. I really think we, as a community, have to do something about this before this spirals more out of control than it already has. Quote

All I can say in response to your comment is DUDE! DUUUUUUDE! DUDE! I don't think it's just an average Marvel movie, if you want an average Marvel movie, watch Eternals or Black Widow! I respect your opinion, but personally Spiderman NWH is one of my favorite Marvel movies of all time and it's by far my favorite Spiderman performance by Tom Holland! Having Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the movie also made for a power punch of an ending and it was powerful for Tom's Peter Parker to make the entire world forget who he is and that he was even Spiderman in the first place! I'm really interested to see what they do for Spiderman 4 and it seems to have something to do with Venom! I think that Venom will find a new host or bond with Spiderman and give him the symbiote suit from the comics! I just hope they do that storyline right this time, unlike Spiderman 3, but I trust Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige! It's ok that you don't care about the film, but they way they were able to connect 20 years worth of Spiderman film legacy into one film to make for a satisfying conclusion was amazing! This was an amazing Spiderman movie, no pun intended, and I'm really excited to see what they do with the multiverse! Quote
