I had primarily wanted to ascertain Draco's implied befriending of Myrtle was actually canon and not a Pottermore addition. So we know she's definitely present in the books, when you get there in your rewatch, please let me know if she appears in the scene. :classic: (But I think you were correct and she doesn't.)

Her IMDB credits only have her in CoS and GoF

Even if that option would be in the cards, I fail to see how this could be achievable with only 3 new prints  These packs are mostly repackaged pre-existing minifigs or kitbashes, with 2-3 exclusive prints (or very rarely a recoloured piece) being sprinkled in

If this rumour is true, I‘d expect the same Sinistra from last year, Grubbly-Plank as a kitbashed minifig, Lockhart in a new outfit (dueling club?), and perhaps McGonagall. Or Vector, if we‘re lucky :shrug_oh_well:

Lockhart is a great choice! He has so many outfits in the film and it would be a great way to get a new one such as the duelling club or the green one from when he accidentally’s Harry’s arm on the Quidditch pitch, that would only require a new torso print as they have green capes in their inventory already from Loki etc

I would be happy with an extra Snape as a reused figure since he isn’t in too many sets, and a regular Slughorn for those who could not get the octoberpack.

It would be a wasted opportunity If of the new characters wasn’t one of the female professors in the background we have never had a figure of before (runes teacher, Muggle studies professor, Grubbly-Plank as you say etc)

Proffeost Vector and Madame Pince I think need new hat/hair moulds 🤞

Madam Pince yes, but I think Professor Vector could make do with a recolor of the series 12 Princess hat. (And with the rumored Castle set coming out, a recolor of that piece is definitely a possibility)

I can't believe we haven't had a Unicorn moulded animal yet for the forest encounter in book 1, or Azkaban or a Battle of Hogwarts set.

I wonder if we'll get a Durmstrang school set eventually as they run out of things that were seen in the movies to make sets from? The recent Hogwarts Trunk set can be argued to not be based on a movie?

I’d say that unfortunately, there is a very good chance we never see Azkaban. It’s only in there for a couple second, would probably require a fairly large and complex set, and there’s just not enough mini figs that could justify. Plus, it’s pretty dark, in a way, in that it’s essentially a torture jail. I’d be cool, but I feel like we’ll have to wait several years before we get that.

Changing topic, whenever we talks about the 120$ set, I read about GoF suggestions (like Durmstrang Ship) or OoP suggestions (like Grimmauld Place).

But supposing the 120$ set is a HBP or DH one and it isn't Gringotts, there's something else you can imagine for this set?

Has anyone mentioned Malfoy Manor lately? I recall that was entertained as a set for the 2010/2011 waves. That could be fairly large and definitely has enough content to reach $120. Possibilities for the build include exterior details like gates and hedges, entrance hall, meeting room, and dungeon. Characters could pick from Scabior who we have never gotten, Fenrir, Bellatrix, Draco, Lucius, Narcissa, Wormtail, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Griphook, Ollivander, and Dobby.

I could also see some Battle of Hogwarts set being $120. Would be cool to have the Room of Requirement with some sort of play feature to change between accessing the Dumbledore's Army room and the fire in the Room of Hidden Things.

The Horcrux cave is a possibility, but I doubt that would be $120. If that ever becomes a set, I see it just being a ~$20 island with Harry, Dumbledore, and 2 Inferi.

Manor and Battle of Hogwarts were both very obvious choices a few years ago when LEGO was getting a bit closer to death scenes but now that we know LEGO is generally avoiding the later films and trying to keep things whimsical both of those sets seem unlikely. The DH Ministry scene is one thing but the Manor is closely tied with Dobby's death (and to a lesser extent Pettigrew's death). Meanwhile the battle of Hogwarts had quite a few deaths. Honestly I think the only reason we're getting the ministry from DH is to avoid the death scene there from OOTP.

Durmstrang ship seems like the most likely possibility to me as this wave is without a vehicle set (although so was last year, maybe the bird sculptures have replaced the need for them).

Don’t you mean Pettigrew’s comedic knock-out? :laugh_hard: (I’ll never forgive them for omitting his poetic death scene)

Malfoy Manor still seems like a good set candidate to me. If they can release Rise of Voldemort without any issues, Malfoy Manor should be a-ok  I mean, while it is closely connected to Dobby’s death, he technically doesn’t even die there, so the connection is much weaker than the one the graveyard has to Cedric’s death

For me at least the Manor scene was less problematic for Dobby's death, which I associate more with Shell Cottage, than Hermione's torture. (Rough watch that, EW & HBC did such great work.) And the other scene I associate with the location is that time their schoolmarm got murdered and gobbled up by a snake. Were there others less gruesome?

That said, I'd still appreciate a set. I'm quite partial to that piece of concept art kicking around here.

@Timemaster11, that's presumably a better way to ascertain it, thank you.

We're getting the Thestral-drawn carriage. Not sure if that counts, though.

Hi all, forgive me if this is not the right place to do this and if there is another forum room more appropriate.  I live in Canada but will be relocating to the UK in the coming months and sadly have to sell my entire Lego HP collection as it is too much to take with me.  I have 95% of all 2018 onwards sets along with extras like both minifigure series, all gold figures, complete choc frog tile set, extra carraiges for the Hogwarts Express and so on.  All sets are 100% complete, in perfect condition with manuals and boxes.  The thought of selling it piecemeal on a certain auction site is a nightmare.  So my question is this.  I am not a dealer as such and don't want to create a Bricklink store but would rather sell them all in one go to a collector or seller or dealer.  Is there another website or portal that could help me with this or another website for selling Lego generally that I am unaware of???  Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Completely forgot that included the carriage. For some reason I thought it was just the thestrals and some trees.

Try joining some of the Lego Facebook groups. There are quite a few out there for buying and selling Lego. :)

Like I said, not sure that counts. 2019 when we had the Beauxbatons Carriage, we also got the Knight Bus. 2018 when we had the Fantastic Beasts carriage in Grindelwald's Escape (although: FB, so maybe that's the issue there), we also had the Hogwarts Express and a Ford Anglia.

I think it counts, sure it doesn't have a motor or engine or anything, but that's not really a requirement. Plus, would we get the durmstrang ship that would be the same scenario. So don't know why it shouldn't count, a vehicle is a vehicle.

Technically we did get the Gringotts minecart in the advent calendar last year, so that's something I suppose.

It's not a hard rule anyway since we didn't have one at all last year and the previous year was just a flying car repackage. Vehicle sets were never my favorites but I miss them, along with the HP line in general after last year.

That’s what I used for my custom figure!;

That stock you have is worth a lot of money! Why not ship your collection in the mail ahead of yourself ? If you send it by boat in a well packed and protected storage box with some insurance you would spend much less than buying it all again in the aftermarket…

Oooh, that works pretty well for a purist Grubbly-Plank. I think it's extremely close to what lego would realistically do themselves. Even the leather jacket from Amelia Earhart looks very solid on her.

Sadly it would not be a rebuy situation, once it is gone I wouldn't be getting it again.  It will fund the trip to some extent and I won't have display space when I get there like I do now (a whole Lego room in fact).  I have considered sending it across but fear the cost would be large but I also appreciate I likely won't get the true value selling on eBay and that the UK has a much larger market of dealers and collectors (and people generally) than rural Eastern Canada where I live.  I suppose it could be worth spending some now but recouping it ten fold by selling there.

So you really want a DEAD unicorn? I’m shocked (sarcastically). I don’t see any way TLG will make an unicorn if there is already a dead unicorn at scene…

A much alive unicorn mold in different theme would do gret…

So I finished my rewatch and there's no trace of Myrtle in the movie, not even when Harry is looking at the Marauder's map. (Hence my surprise to find out that she was there in the book. I really should read them, because I do own them. :P)

Cheers. Her not being on the map is an interesting detail, but they tended to be pretty good with those.

Yes, the "Severus, please," had to have stung. I think that's what Dumbledore says to him too at the end of HBP. I picture Snape flinching thereafter whenever someone asks him to pass the salt cellar. "Severus, please pass the salt..." *whoosh* "Where did he go?"

Yeah it would make sense to "team up" a Dueling Lockhart and Snape.

I like this idea too, it makes the pack ‘playable’ even on its own. The build could be a duelling table & the new tile print could be the moon pattern cloth: perhaps 2 identical 2x4 prints as it’s a symmetrical pattern.

I hope this pack comes with an owl again too, that would be marvellous, I also loved the printed jars, I wonder what they could reuse this time? Flying sand blue owl? Pixie? Beans box? Some new print we have not seen yet from this summer?
