I’d love a Peacemaker minifig. If LEGO can do Daredevil and Punisher they can do Peacemaker

No offense, this isn't going to do anything. First off, because not enough people are going to sign it for it to be "presented to lego", but secondly, because if non-batman sets sold well, we'd have more non-batman sets. Lego does there own market research, and apparently batman sets sell the best by far. This isn't even a "well lego maybe just doesn't realize" situation, because it's not like we've never had substantial numbers of non-batman sets. There've been scatterings of non-batman stuff throughout the last decade, and, well, most of them haven't sold all that great.

Last year (or maybe even before that?) a Lego brand rep also got asked about the disparity between Marvel and DC stuff and chalked it up to the fact that Marvel is the more popular brand and has a more consistent stream of content to tie into for merchandisers. Where as a lot of DC's non-Batman attempts have been very hit or miss. So while it's unfortunate, I can see why that'd be a concern.

Weren't those specifically comic versions and not the TV-MA rated Netflix versions? Though honestly a comic Peacemaker could serve double duty as both a comic and TV series fig since the costume in the show is straight off the page.

I’d say it’s more a violence thing rather than what version they depict, but conversely I’d say Peacemaker’s language would be a bigger barrier, unfortunately.

And that’s exactly the problem  With other characters, they could always believably claim the minifigs are inspired by a comic counterpart to avoid controversy. Here? Basically indistinguishable

Ha! True. Either way, I'd love to get him eventually. Been enjoying the show a lot.

Lmao Marvel really is getting three D2Cs this year :jollyroger:

My condolences to all DC fans out there, this is a pretty rough year for the theme *huh*

I fully expect us not getting sets for Black Adam, The Flash and Aquaman.

Like truly, I've lost my hope for them. If we do get them? Amazing. Not gonna hype myself up for another disappointment tho.

Same, I’ve gone ahead and BrickLinked the Flash figure from Justice League to avoid disappointment.

I literally just did a spit take! I hate how accurate that sarcasm is…

Good one:laugh_hard:

Well, the sets based on The Batman were released in January here in Europe and the upcoming Art set is a thing, but apart from that, the theme really is non-existent for the time being :snicker:

The $210 set is supposedly the Sanctum Santorum, which only makes the Tower of Fate fakeout hurt more, cuz odds are they wouldn’t do both but if they do the Tower of Fate will likely end up being a dinky $30 set with just a Batman figure and The Joker wearing the helmet of fate.

This is so true! I mean I'm happy with the Batman sets,  but come on Lego, DC is on fire with the content they have on atm.

Anyone have any plans for cool MOCs? I get that we all want new stuff, but I've been taking the last couple of years as an opportunity to collect old figures I missed out on and to work on the builds that I want to see.

The Tower of Fate wouldn't be a difficult MOC, unless you try to include some of those M C Escher esque staircases. The only thing that would be missing is Fate himself. Which yeah, is unfortunate, but I'm afraid people aren't taking advantage of the whole purpose of Lego. If we aren't getting a new Arkham, the Hall of Justice, Wayne Enterprises, or a Bat Train then by zod why aren't people building them to satiate that desire and get people excited about those things?

I'm still a sucker , and have faith!

If anything the Flash movie should have Batman themed sets!

I would love it if Lego would clear things early on in the year,  with a firm number of sets that would be released for DC.

To me it seems like since they hired a person to look after the leaks,  they have better control and are releasing set information to bloggers,  news websites with solid fan foundations!

Just tell me at the start of the year that I'm only getting 2 DC sets instead of these crappy mind games!

Use a Lego format,  to show case number of releases

Great. Less than three weeks after the rumour got popped and now this. Way to kick us when we’re down, Lego. Do we need a disclaimer at the start of the thread to explain that any rumours are about a set’s existence? Perhaps it’s time to start filling in the gaps in the collection, see if I can finish before Lego release another non-Bat figure.

None of the CW shows have had any sets, only exclusive comic con figures. Likely because the audience for those shows aren't exactly kids, and are much smaller than the movies, which themselves aren't getting a whole lot of love.

Batwoman in particular really feels like it has a small fanbase, there's a hell of a lot of hate for that show online

Our last hope is that the rumored $500 set is DC related!

Yes I've heard it could be Marvel!

Lol what from the past month would lead you to believe that given a choice Lego would go with DC over Marvel for that pricey of a set?

You guys are just setting yourselves up for disappointment.
