Best. Batman. Adaptation. Ever.

I am speechless, this movie is phenomenal. Sorry Nolan but there is a new king in town!

I will get the batcave soon, this is amazing.

Someone hasn’t seen the dcau… jk

Nah calm down a bit

That’s your opinion if you don't think so, but to me, this is the DEFINITIVE Batman adaptation. Literal perfection on what Batman should be, Pattinson is Batman.

It's not like LEGO would miss a movie based on the only DC superhero

True, but it's rather surprising nonetheless. I mean it wasn't overly gory or anything, but still

Yeah, it was definitely very adult when compared to MCU movies.

That's why I recently became a bigger fan of DC than Marvel, except for Sony's Spider-Verse series (the animated one; not Venom or Morbius ).

MCU would never allow anything out of their already set boundaries. Their series' can push them further tho, and I have high hopes for Moon Knight and She-Hulk. Bit apart from those two projects, Love and Thunder and Deadpool, I really stopped caring anymore.

And that's why it saddens me that we aren't getting any sets for DC. We've got six DC movies coming out this year, that's absolutely incredible, yet we'll be lucky if we get sets for two of them (The Batman included).

Honestly same, I feel that this might be one of the darkest films Lego has done wide release sets for.

I mean, there’s an F bomb in the first fifteen minutes and Selina’s friend is an escort. Not to mention how the film overall felt more like a gritty crime/corruption thriller or murder mystery than a superhero film.

I really enjoyed the film, especially the first 2/3s of it. My interest in 76183 has gone up now, especially because I thought that it cost $100 this whole time when it’s actually only $80.

LEGO made NAZI minifigures. Sure they were just generic 'German solders from World War 2' but seriously they were browncoats.

I just finished building 76183. Fun build. Too many stickers but looks nice. I wouldn't spend $80 on it. I got it for 40% off because of a bad box from eBay. Anything for less than $60 I highly recommend it.

Someone's forgetting about Adam West

I gotta say, I'm surprised the batcave was "only" 80€ to begin with, one would think they'd go crazy for this kind of set.

But yeah, 60€ is a way more reasonable price for what you get. I reccomend doing a bit of MOCing and combine it with any of the previous Batcaves to have a bigger one.

Why are you surprised? It's a nice Batcave, I bought it to use as a train platform. But even at the discount I got it's not a very large set with a lot going on. I feel $80 is very overpriced.

Because all of the previous Batcaves were more expensive

Or the fact that 25% of the film takes place in a

Spoiler

strip club of some kind, or Savage saying happy megablocking halloween, or... yeah, something tells me lego was unaware of how dark it would go.

I think the Nolan films are still far superior to this one in terms of what it means to be the batman, and have a somewhat better plot, but that doesn't mean I didn't like the movie a ton. I think this is the best batman in terms of the suit, gadgets, and by god that car (I won't lie I clapped when the car was introduced, no one else was clapping it was really embarrassing). I don't own a single batman set, but I think I'm gonna have to pick up the 2022 batmobile, and then I might have to get the smaller tumbler for the Nolan films.

I am going to be honest, I have no idea what you mean whatsoever

When Gordon and Batsy corner The Penguin, the former shows him a picture of what Pete Savage's body looked like after his face was eaten by rats. Luckily, the audience was spared the sight, but the implication is gruesome enough. Plus Penguin's reaction says it all

I expect 1 set for The Flash and Aquaman. The Batman opened big so we maybe this will help DC for 2023 sets lineup? Also, I wanted a UCS The Batman batmobile.

One or two of these numbers has to be DC, right?

August

76220 4+ | $10 | 43 pcs

76221 | $45 | 456 pcs

September

76225 ($25)

76226 ($25)

76230 ($25)

Given the technic set, I wouldn’t expect a D2C Batmobile for this movie anytime soon.

Likely a lot of the ‘23 lineup is set in some regard at this point, and if anything, this just confirms the appeal of more Batman sets, which are basically what they make now anyway.

Yes but still not as many as they used to. They made like 7 Batman sets in 2019, last year it was 2 (excluding 4+ and D2C).

January 2023 may be set in stone (they could shift some things around and design more sets for then). 2HY 2023 will truly show us if movies have an effect or not.

This is my new favorite Batman film (although I'm deeply nostalgic for the two Burton films) but it's relevance to LEGO is pretty light... even if the film were a spectacular failure, there would still be more LEGO Batman, and unlike some other superhero films, it wasn't toyetic enough to leave open for additional sets much.

It certainly gave me a taste for more though... looking forward to the Batcave set. (Already have the other two.) Dying a bit for some villain-based sets though.

Maybe we get one in 2023 or 2024? I would like to get the unseen prisoner with it. I am sure Lego will fast track it after the success of the film. Maybe future Batman sets will be inspired by The Batman, perhaps some from the Caped Crusader show which Matt Reeves is also working on. This film reignited my love for Batman.

Same. I'll definitely be picking up the new Batmobile at some point. Maybe the Tumbler as well to go with it even though I have the old one.

I don't come to this thread much and thus probably don't know as much as you all do, but I'd be shocked if we didn't get some variation of the Burton Batmobile to coincide with The Flash.

Love this, also. It was awesome tbf.
