Crazy how DC would release a trailer for all the upcoming films along with the Batman being released and then just push the films out 5-6 months a week later. Side note, anyone know if we’re still getting that book that originally teased Klarion in the description?

Yeah that’s still coming

Huh?
But Ben Affleck himself said he was done with Batman, after the Flash movie, right?

Regards,
Mitch

Yeah, but now she is saying that the Discovery merger is changing things, I hope its bs. I want Pattinson Batman for this decade. Affleck had his run.

Not exactly what she said but it would be going into spoil stuff for the flash

Grace Randolph is not a reliable source.

Not to mention that Affleck himself confirmed that that chapter of his life is closed now.

I just don't get it!

Batterson is out our Batman in the Reeves verse.

Keaton will take over from Affleck as the connected universe Batman.

I'll be honest, I'm more than a few decade too young to have an attachment to that series. Does seem to be a nice build though.

Hey, I have an attachment to that series and I was born 3 decades after it came out .

I’m still not entirely convinced the entire slate of upcoming Superheroes sets is for Marvel :classic: Sure, Promobricks lists them as such, but didn’t they do so from the very start? Stonewars have a separate generic Superheroes category for the currently unknown sets, which I’m pretty sure Promobricks never had

My thoughts exactly.

I would expect to see something for DC at least, but the question is how much, as it's pretty likely most will be Marvel at this point..

Exactly. What little we did get last year was spread out [very thinly] across the year, 1966 Batmobile in April and the Tumbler in October.

Exactly, I feel like there never has been a better DC movie for LEGO to make sets based on.

A family of six, colorful superheroes and three ancient goddesses. Manticores, cyclops', harpies, and actual dragons. Interesting ancient locations, and Shazam family's colorful lair.

I feel like LEGO won't make sets for this, and I truly can't understand why. Not only is this perfect material for LEGO sets, but the first movie was a hit.

Late reply, but it’s possible that The Eternals sets kinda flopping scared Lego off. Marvel is generally more popular than DC and if their sets with a multi-colored team and wacky builds didn’t do well, they’d probably be a bit antsy about a similar DC line. (Though this movie is a sequel, while The Eternals wasn’t, so maybe I’m wrong.)

I genuinely think TLBM was the last big hoorah for the DC theme. We got some actually cool Bat vehicles, a bunch of wacky villain vehicles as well, soe neat playsets and a ton of amazing, colorful and detailed minifigures. There’s been some cool stuff since then (another DC related CMF, the small Tumbler and I guess the Bat-Vehicle D2Cs if that’s your thing), but it’s all very far and few between.

LEGO sets usually take a year and a half to develop.

Eternals sets were sold for the first time five months ago.

So no. That's not it.

"I'd heard there was a secret chord, That David played and it pleased the Lord, But you don't really care for music, do you?...."

There's still Hope for the Snyderverse! Grace Randolph's become a lot more reliable in the past year or so, and given the discovery stuff and all the delays, I think there's a chance. A small one, but a chance nonetheless.

No. Eternals, aside from being a flop in and of itself, wouldn't really impact their DC decisions, I think. Marvel's other sets have sold fine, and I think lego is able to understand that the sets sold poorly due to the film itself doing poorly. The past decade of DC movies might not all be critically acclaimed, but they usually make good money, and that's what lego's looking for.

Still no new sets for DC? Come on designers give us some hints!

Anything!

Curious on how the new movie release dates will affect Lego dc!

Out of all the set numbers we know of, there are no DC sets remaining for 2022.

What kind of hint do you expect? The designers are sworn to secrecy, they can‘t just blurt out any random hints  Besides, if there‘s nothing planned for this year in the first place, we also won‘t hear anything, simple as that. The only time I can recall where the lack of new products was clearly addressed was Vidiyo, and I really don‘t think the DC theme is on the verge of being cancelled.

We just need to be patient :classic:

Is the 1989 Batmobile retired? Sold out on LEGO.com but doesn't say retired. Looks like I might have decided to get it too late though.

It's only been on shelves for 6 months so I hope not, it won't strengthen DC's case as a theme.
