THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Huh, aren't they revealing more sets today? Is that all for now? Quote

The only moulded spino I would like, is the spinosaurus model in the Lego jw game. (talking about that game, I really hope we get at least some FK and dominion content in the form of a new Lego game, I really enjoyed that game) Maybe if they will release a Parasaurolophus they could use the same neck piece for the Spino too Quote

Usually they aren't this bumped up from USD to AUD but these 3 sets have literally like doubled the price, the t rex breakout set is $100 USD but $200 AUD I would've expected $150, and even both $40 USD sets are $80 AUD, when I would've expected like $60 AUD. Even doing the USD to AUD conversions on Google they are literally like $150 and $80, am I missing something? Yeah the AUD prices have gone slightly berserk with these. Regional pricing has never been about actual currency conversions, but like you said USD $40 sets have recently been AUD $60, and USD $100 sets are usually between AUD $150 and $180. Why these are all 200% of the US numerical value is unclear. The JP set is fun, and definitely something JP fans and AFOLs have dreamt of - a full, committed representation of a classic scene in Minifigure scale. Not like the previous Jurassic Park UCS, which was a giant scale display with Minifigure scenes shoehorned in. The other sets are typical Jurassic World fare to me - ok utilitarian vehicles with high prices because of the specialised Dinos. For Dino fans it is nice that LEGO has finally found a way to make a dino theme successful on an ongoing basis, and keep delivering new stuff. Quote

Yeah I hope this could be addressed because I feel a bit robbed haha, idk I am still going to buy all the sets, even if it means going broke temporarily and I could try just waiting for Kmart to stock the sets since they usually charge less than what the original producer charges, no idea how they are still in business lol. Indeed that Jurassic Park set looks fantastic! A masterpiece of a set that is definitely long awaited I hope they release more of those types of 18+ Jurassic Park themed sets, would be awesome to also have the Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 sets but we'll have to hope the Lego Jurassic theme continues. 1 minute ago, DBlegonerd7 said: I am still ompisitic about goat’s return….one day. :) I mean, eventually they'll have to right haha? cyberdyne systems Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) Well, I'm a bit disappointed with JP set. All cause of the Park Ford Explorers - they look OK-ish, but not for the 18+ set. Especially the lack of antennas, too simple light on the roof. A bit weird proportions and small wheels. (I suppose it's due to being able to place all the characters insise the car, but it is strange to add this possibility to the display set instead of better look) But, most of all, my biggest disappointment is the lack of stripes. Just four stickers for whole car just don't do the job right. Too many places left without stripes - front section over wheels is the most obvious. By the way, model from the videogame had these stripes without any stickers. Also, I've made this version of Park Explorer based on improved in-game model I had hoped, that official model will look better than mine, but I don't think it is the case after all. williejm Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Loving the new pyroraptor, that set looks great. Diorama is awesome. Not too sure about that new triceratops colour and printing. She looks like she’s had a hard time of it, not sure she’s gonna be tricked by a carrot on a stick… Quote

Darth Shadowthrone Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 I absolutely love the Pyroraptor and Dilophosaurus set, that vehicle is like the truck from the Toro set which is great. Plus I really like that more and more sets are coming with two dinos! The colours on the Pyroraptor make me very hopeful for the Giganotosaurus, that’s the design I’m most eagerly looking forward to seeing Quote
Koolkoalas Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 So when are the other dominion sets gonna be revealed also how many sets are we getting this year wasn’t it like 12 Quote

BitByBrick Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 I think LEGO missed a major opportunity to include a goat in this set. No more perfect fit than in this JP diorama set. It could have been included in the JP T-Rex Rampage gate set, but this diorama is THE perfect set to have one in! What were you thinking LEGO? Still happy to see this set will be reality soon. Waiting to see any other JP sets before I commit my resources and display space for this one. Made my own MOC Jeep and Tour vehicle. Even found a cig for Ray Arnold. Hold on to your… Quote

Then, suddenly, there was a dismembered goat leg on the top of the Ford Explorer before T-rex broke herself out. Strangely, there was no goat leg on the top when T-rex crashed the roof into the vehcile in the film, you called the goat mold “less accurate”? Edited February 13, 2022 by DBlegonerd7 Quote
BatDemon Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Can anyone confirm if the Dilophosaurus in set 75934 is the same as the new one coming out soon? Quote

It is actually almost the same, but i’m not sure about the colour on the frills. It looks different, but that is always the case when Lego repeats colours of the dinos and they change a bit on the box art Quote

zinnn Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Geez that built T-Rex looks awful. What a missed opportunity :( I do like the cars though in that 76956 set. Quote

The T-Rex should be dark tan, not reddish brown in my opinion, plus it would make the grey joint pieces less obvious. Everything else about the set is awesome though, so I might try to MOD Rexy when I get it. Quote

Yeah it seems to be the exact same mold as that one-piece Dilophosaurus. I can't find any comparison pictures of that previous Dilo next to the raptors but I assume that Dilo and Pyroraptor will be smaller than the multi-piece raptors, like how that old Ceolyphisis piece was smaller?
