My favourites would be the Pyroraptor, White Atrociraptor and the Quetzalcoatlus (tho I wish it was able to bend its neck)

I heavily dislike many aspects of the new dinosaurs. Pyroraptor could use a different body texture, showing off the feathers. They also managed to interprete "fur" with other animals before so I don't know why they don't do here and keep the "smooth" texture for most of the body.

Then there is this thing with newer animal molds having 0-1 points of articulation. They had the perfect arms + turnable hands for the fantasy dino from JWI and the Baryonix dinosaur. Then they changed it into worse looking arm+hand-one-piece.  Same with those raptors. The standard raptors have 6 points of articulation, these have only the jaw.

Quetzalcoatlus would have been much cooler with a turnable head.

But then I wanna start dreaming and think of turnable legs and foldable wings so I guess it's too much to ask from a toy and we can be glad to get so many new dinos. After all, this is the first wave motivating me to get a set :pir_tong2:

Oh and I like that there are so many colours. Like the 2nd T-Rex with it's reptilian like spring-olive green.

I like the quetzalcoatlus set cause finally a new pterosaur and I like the white atrociraptor set cause it looks cool also love that the vehicles aren’t all specifically Jurassic world so you can use them in other Mocs and they look natural

Out of curiosity I went on Brickset to see if set 76952 was allocated to a part of a different theme, but as you can see: https://brickset.com/search?query=76952&scope=All It doesn't have any information on it. And I also checked set 76949 (The Giganotosaurus set that hasn't be revealed for literally unknown reasons, but we all know about that from the 3 pages talking about what we don't know about it haha) https://brickset.com/search?query=76949&scope=All and it has no information other than that it has an image of a grey box with a question mark, and if you hover your cursor over it and click, it says that its a part of the Jurassic World theme so I guess 76952 is probably just non-existent (at this time anyways) or maybe if we are lucky, it is so secretive that maybe its a retailer exclusive for the Jurassic World theme that has the other two Atrociraptors, sort off like what they did with the first waves raptor pack. Its most likely not but I really hope it is, even if its just some other random set number or even like a polybag maybe, they released a Ceolophysis mold in one before, the Atrociraptor is a similar size. Thoughts anyone?

(Also thought it was worth noting, a funny coincidence I found was that 76952 is a model of plane that is right at the end of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom lol)

uh, I don't see why it would need to be, we all know the sets and also I'm fairly certain someone already has made an updated list but could be wrong there.

Well, I guess some folks with their sources like @lego_guyon02 or @Falconfan1414, could confirm about 76952 as a non-existing, pre-existening or existing set?

I won’t be suprised if they say it’s not existing tho or have no answers.

Also, I do not think guyon2 is active here since Feb 7. I think his Brickset account is active, not sure.

My ranking:

1.  T. rex Breakout (10/10) Love this set, only thing I would have changed is including a goat and the lawyer.

2. Quetzalcuatlus Plane Ambush (9/10) Good plane design, and the Quetzal is just outstanding, but the kayla minifig sucks.

3. Pyroraptor & Dilophosaurus Transport (8.5/10) Good that we got Ellie and Ian in a cheaper set.

4. Triceratops Pickup Truck (8/10) I like this set because herbivores are pretty rare, so I get excited when I see one. The rest of the set is also not bad.

5. Blue & Beta Velociraptor Capture (8/10) We had to wait 7 years for Lego to get the colours of Blue right, but now we have it! I love the new mold for Beta too.

6. Atrociraptor Dinosaur Bike Chase (8/10) Like the build, like the dino. And it's one of the few sets that is actually based off a scene.

7. T. rex & Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout (6/10) The build is weak, and the inclusion of the T. rex is just unnecessary.

8. Pteranodon Chase (5/10) The Pteranodon colours are kinda good.

9. T. rex Dinosaur Breakout (3.5/10) I hate this set, and I would only buy this for the minifigs.

Maybe but who knows.

Yeah I noticed that aswell, he went radio silent just when the sets started getting revealed. Possibly trying to avoid spoilers if I were to guess.

The Quzetalcoatlus isn't technically a dinosaur, but frankly I think calling them 'flying reptiles' is even more incorrect. That's my favorite. It's my favorite dinosaur LEGO has even made.

“Flying reptile” word is acceptable for pterosaurs….. you can argue with paleontologists if you disagree with me.

I know it's the right word. Just as science has improved we know the dinosaurs died 66 million years ago, not 65 million. Do all the 'flying reptiles' even fit into what a modern reptile is?

I'm a horticulturist. I have a Botany book from 15 years ago that uses completely different terms than 80-100 years ago. I guess my point is they can't just come up with a better term?

Yes! And now it has been (though I need to double check some of the prices)

Because the first post of each discussion topic is intended to be a resource about the year's sets. Sure, in this theme most of the sets are now known and you could even see all of them on Lego.com besides that one, but in others not everyone might know to look at Promobricks or be able to keep up with the info.

Ah, I didn't know that, my bad StegoLover

I think you should update the error on 76952. T-rex Breakout is supposed to be 76956.

We don’t know anything about 76952 set.

Would you look at that, Lego updated the Pyroraptor to have a stud on the images lol

https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/pyroraptor-dilophosaurus-transport-76951

Also seems to be 360 videos for them

Edit: seems to only have videos for the Pyroraptor, Triceratops and Jurassic Park sets. However the Jurassic Park set has two videos, one shows a guy building it etc, and the other is a 360 view which if you look closely you can see the chain from the goat lol.

There are night vision goggles!!

I love all the little details that went into this set, the designers need a raise haha

I was thinking... maybe the gap between 76951 and 76956 is the wave of 4 sets for 2023?? Lego usually makes 4 sets a year for Jurassic World when there isn't a movie coming out

That's an amazing addition! *oh2* Lego really pays attention to detail! I thought they would need a new mold for it, but  this actually works really well.

I mean it would be nice to know the Jurassic World theme continues but right now we have no idea.

Indeed Lego spared no expense with this year's sets!

Yeah it's so cool to have these little iconic novelty pieces in Lego form, I'm just really hyped to see what Lego is hiding from us with the Giganotosaurus set lol

I can’t wait to see Giganotosaurus set too but it’s best to low our hype level.

I am very curious about the gap between 76961 - 76956 too, @StegoLover.  But we don’t have any clues for 2023 at the moment. I have been wondering if these “missing” set numbers would be for 30th annvieary for the original Jurasic Park film? I dunno… I wish I could see the future, lol.

I mean, the set will have to be revealed within the next month and a half right? Since the sets all release April 17

Yup. A month at most. Definitely in the coming weeks.

Yeah, i think we all expect a giganotosaurus and some laboratory facility maybe some foliage and with the hope of therizinosaurus if that leak is hopefully true

Reveal hidden contents

Also just a thought, if the leaked very brief description of the set is fake, it would suck that we aren't getting a therizinosaurus but at the same time it could have a silver lining you know, for example we could get Lewis Dodgson.

Also also, the rest of the sets on the lego store have 360 videos

Yeah it’s what I’m predicting about.

Hopefully it would be March or early April but yeah. The answer is not always tomorrow, lol, definitley later.

haha well i mean, if you say tomorrow each day your literally bound to get it right one day, if the odds aren't in your favour, completely get rid of them

Will the rumored Gigantosaurus set release with all the other sets in April? If so, I don’t understand why folks keep thinking LEGO is waiting to reveal it so as not to spoil the movie plot. The movie comes out on June 10. I’m sure they are just waiting to reveal it for marketing purposes to coincide with some other big final marketing / merchandising pushes for the movie. These sets rarely if ever reveal major plot points to movies that haven’t already been revealed in trailers.
