The only flaws I can see with it is the limited articulation and the head feathers seem kinda straight and rigid I’m asking because it’s one of my favourites and I’m getting that set first for the Dilo too Oh, it’s hard for me to rank the best top 5 dinosaurs but Pyroraptor’s color scheme is real neat and I love how it has feathers at last. I am not a fan of regular Velociraptor body, way oversized. Actually, I’m considering about swapping Atcoriraptor and Pyroratpor’s places after glancing at Atrociraptor in set. Quote

I'll hope for a sale, the last two huge sets were on sale in the USA. Haha yeah, I think I should just wait until Kmart starts stocking them, they usually take like 10% rrp off or whatever it is for all of their stock. 2 hours ago, ToaDraco said: Yeah I definitely find that incredibly odd considering he's supposed to be the main villain. I fully expected him to be in the biggest set but instead we just got Wu, which is great but we need Dodgson. "Dodgson, Dodgson, we don't have Dodgson here!" Indeed, I hope we get him eventually, his absence is extremely peculiar considering he's the main villain for this movie and was pretty much the reason nedry destroyed Jurassic Park Quote
Darth Shadowthrone Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Comparing the three different photos we have of the Dinosaurs from the biggest set and I have to ask - is Therazinosaurus sand blue or dark grey? I’m hoping it’s main colour isn’t dark grey because that’s also the colour of my 2019 Baryonyx but the box art looks pretty definitive Quote

Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Haven’t said it yet, but I absolutely love all the Dominion sets! Really glad we’re getting different (and accurate) versions of Owen, even if they are exclusive to the 4+ sets. I love the three legacy trio minfigs and I love all the dinosaurs. Getting Therizinosaurus and Giganotosaurus in the same set is a treat and I’m really glad that rumor was true. They both look fantastic! Not perfect, but for splitting the set budget between them I think they’re great. Really frustrated by the lack of a Dodgson minfig though Quote
ToaDraco Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 (edited) JB Speilwaren has reviews of several of the new sets on YouTube. They look great, I'm really looking forward to this wave of sets, especially the Quetzalcoatlus set. The plane is definitely way too stubby, it should be twice as long and I still wish the Quetzal had folding wings and neck articulation so it can stand properly but I still love the dino and the plane still looks great. I think I'm probably going to end up getting every set in the wave except the T-Rex & Atrociraptor breakout and Triceratops ambush sets(also the juniors sets but that kinda goes without saying). THELEGOBATMAN Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 (edited) Yeah, I'm thinking between getting the Giganotosaurus & Therizinosaurus set, or the Quetzalcoatlus and Pyroraptor & Dilophosaurus ones. Hard choice. Gonna wait to see how the pricing looks, cause I can get some nice discounts on them on April 17th. Edited March 26, 2022 by THELEGOBATMAN Quote
Arutha Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 This wave looks nice. I really like the Dilo set and the Quetzalcoatlus one. As usual, I will buy all the sets anyway. Quote

GoldenNinja3000 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I love the color scheme for the Giganotosaurus and I don’t mind the Indominus head reuse, but I do think the mouth looks a bit strange since the Indominus had a very crocodilian mouth and the Giga doesn’t. I also really don’t like the T. rex hand reuse. We should’ve gotten a reuse of the new Indo arms or better yet a new mold. The Therizinosaurus looks awesome except for its claws. I get what LEGO was going for there but it’s just really awkward looking and the Indoraptor legs are so dumb. I wish LEGO would just make a new leg mold for the Indo body if they’re going to keep reusing it for mid-size theropods because the raptor sickle claw on all these species is getting ridiculous. I wanted to ask if people here display their LEGO dinosaurs. I’ve got every Jurassic Word one to date and plan to collect the new ones as well, but they’re all just sitting in Ziploc bags in a drawer right now. I’d love to put them in a wall-mounted display case and I was wondering if anyone’s tried something similar? Quote

Yeah the small two clawed fingers don't fit too well, but they are easy enough to overlook i suppose. Someone pointed out in certain shots of the giganotosaurus that the indominus's head has been modified so it has two dark spikes at the back so technically it is a little different I have three shelves that are filled with mattel jurassic world figures and lego jurassic world sets mixed with figures from lego dino, then i just use a giant base plate to put minifigures like an army haha. Edit: for the person asking about therizinosaurus being either sand blue or dark blue, i think we could use the quetzalcoatlus having black on its beak as a way to say that the image has gone through some filter or something. And also dark blue is more accurate and better looking imo. Edited March 27, 2022 by AxolotlPlays Quote
Kim-Kwang-Seok Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I don't see any issue with the claws - would be so much worse if they were just "painted on". The fact that they are just Lego pieces means you can replace them with all the other available claw pieces. New molds if I'm correct: - Pyroraptor - This other smaller raptor mold - "teenage raptor" - flying Dinosaur thingy -> 2 molds for the wings, 1 for jaw, 1 for body+head. - Big Dino -> modified head and new body - "Wolverine Dino": 2x new arms and new head. ...12 new molds. Wow! And except for the two new raptor species, any other new dino has quite decent articulation. One can dream of Smaug-like foldable wings, posable legs and head for the flying dinosaurs and all dinosaurs with the same articulation as the standard raptors. Not to forget rotating hands for the Wolverine-thingy. But yeah realistically this wave is a huge step up. In adition the builds look much nicer and more useful. You don't get JUST trucks and weird 1-person helicopters. There is a unique plane with a cool colour scheme, the biggest set has a very interesting build. Not bad Quote

THELEGOBATMAN Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 If they wanted to make a new mould they'd add an extension of the spine on it. It works for me tho, I like how it looks. Quote
