Meanwhile, at the Hephaestus Artillery Depot, near Fort Arltrees;

Pepin the Mule-skinner; "Ahoy there! Here is the last field gun up from the harbor. I trust you have a fine crew selected for these beauties?"

Marshal DuQuesne:"Oh I'm sure I have just the men they need..."

Pepin the Artillerist!!!:"@$&%#!!?!"

Sergeant Hobbes:"Cadets! Prepare to service the gun!"

The End

A company raising at Fort Arltrees to be licensed and maintained directly to the Crown of Oleon. This is my first whack at a troop raising. Let me know if I bungled something. Thank you!

Interesting story and well-built artillery depot!

Sergeant Hobbes looks like a pirate, patriot glorious Oleon soldier.  :pir-grin:

Thank you. He has white dress gloves though!

Looks good - a very nicely built scene, and I like the limber and carriage for the gun - it looks like a heavy piece. It doesn't look like you've bungled anything. I think some of your pictures may be overexposed, though - the white limber is very lit up to the extend it is hard to make out the details.

Nice build and, again, welcome to our Empire! The gun carriage looks very nice, and your characters are very funny!

My only tip is about pictures, some of them look a little faded...  you could try with natural light and without flash, this could improve the result!

Thanks, gang. Yeah I'm still figuring this android camera out. I should probably use a darker backdrop too and I'm still fidgeting with the lighting issue. All ears for more suggestions.

Photoshop/GIMP could help with some of those issues but not as good as improving physical lighting.

As for the build, I'm in love with those carriages.

Nice one (interesting minifig parts and walled yard) and a funny last pic! A worthy addition to OL for sure!
