After being a lurker for a while, I decided I had to sign up and post.

Well, my name is Tom, and as implied, I am a lego castle fan. I recently came out of my dark age, having purchased the troll warship. Prior to that, I don't think I had bought any lego since about 2002, though I did occasionally play with what I did have.

I like to build landscapes and castles, usually modular in accordance with the CCC standard or the Base8 Standard. However, I face the same problems as many - I never have enough bricks!

I am considering writing a story based on the adventures of my characters and my Legoverse, in the same vein as Ikros, though I doubt I will be able to live up to such a standard.

I am 16 years old, and although my mother thinks I am too old to play with toys, she is happy that I have something to occupy myself with, rather than practically living on the computer, as I did with my previous hobby, which was playing world of warcraft. I have a job to supplement my lego habit, and recently spent £100 on ebay, to purchase a fair few items. I have also managed to ensnare my younger brother, so we build together - he is too a castle fan.

I look forward to meeting you all on these forums, and hope that I won't be judged by my age, as is the case on some forums.

Thanks, Tom

Hey there, Tom! That's a very nice and decent introduction you have there - bravo!

I'm not much of a castle fan myself, but I do love seeing some amazing stuff - take DNL and Norro's MOCs for example!

Your age will hopefully not be much of a problem (I'm younger than you! ) if you behave good, which I don't think is a problem in your case out from reading your intro.

Have fun at EB!

Oh, mothers are often that way! I'm 26 and my mother thinks that I'm too old for LEGO. She thinks I'm still a big child.

In my teens I also tried to make my brother wish LEGO for Christmas instead of Playmobil. Well, he never wished what I wanted him to wish. He preferred Playmobil all the time.:cry_sad: Seems that you are more successful with your brother.

By the way, welcome to eurobricks!

I'm enjoying these forums already - the people here are so friendly, and I like how rather than insulting others, everyone offers constructive criticism. It's a really mature environment, and I'm glad I bit the bullet, stopped lurking and became active here.
