Production starts 3 months before release. So 15 months design before production. The Marvel CMF was the first CMF to be designed from home.

Ah, thanks for info on the time being! :)

I wonder if Madam Pomfrey's headgear will be reintroduced for a Florence Nightingale-style figure. Perhaps not in a special themed series but a regular series.

Please forgive me if it’s a dumb quesiton - when it will be released? August or September?

We don't know yet, but I assume September

okay, not sure if there was a release date for Series 23.

If Series 23 is an anniveary series, I think August would make sense - August is when Lego was founded 90 years ago.

But I dunno…

That would make sense, Marvel was released August last year (still doesn’t give us confirmation though).

Exactly. But right now, we don’t have solid evidence. :(

I know wishlisting isn't allowed in some of the speculation threads but hopefully this isn't one of them.

My wishlist ( well more of a guessing list as they aren't all what I'd wish for, just what I'd expect with an added pinch of optimism) will consist of 16 figures, I'd expect they'd do 12 but I guess this gives me 4 spare guesses. Be aware that I'm gonna have to use the word modernised an awful lot, and that they are no particular order.

1- a minifigised Bionicle : I'd guess either Tahu, Mata Nui or Tarkanava

2 - a 'Legoland styled' policeman with the 'straight jacket' torso and the matching original minifig legs, but they'd be redesigned so they'd looked the same in the assembled figure but have the modern style of neck and hip connections

3 - a princess, a modernised version of this figure

4 - a classic spaceman in a new colour, maybe teal, or gold.

5 - a modernised version of a power miners rock monster, either on its own or as an accessory to a modernised powerminer, not sure which one.

6 - a modernised Atlantis character in gonna say one of the monsters so that the series can have a little more variety, let's say either the shark, the portal guardian, the Altantis king or the squid.

7 - an adventurer, modernised obviously, I would have put old Johnny Thunder if we hadn't had his lookalike so recently, but he might still make the cut, either him, the baron, the professor or Pippin

8 - a modernised Doctor inferno from agents.

9 - a modernised paradisa woman.

10 - one of the Lego brick suit people, maybe gold?

11 - a modernised governor broadside

12 - a toy maker that is obviously based on Ole Kirk Christiansen.

13 - a  modernised Studios monster, maybe the hunchback as they haven't done the Igor archetype in a CMF series yet, double sided head and a camera accessory would make it's studios nature known.

14 - a modernised Ogel

15 - a modernised Pepper Roni

16 - a modernised Fabulander

Honourable mentions to:

 - something to represent Ninjago, it deserves it but there are only so many slots and there will be Ninjago sets sold alongside this CMF anyway.

- a space police officer, if we hadn't have gotten one in series 22 it'd be a different matter.

- a pirate or knight, I chose other figures to represent they thems as I feel it'd make more sense as knights and pirates are common in sets and cmfs compared to governors and princess plus id like to see some modernised versions of they hats, with hair included ( though I'd be fine with a recolour of the hat from the CMF princess)

- aquazone, exoforce, Vikings, western, Pharaoh's quest and blacktron all almost had a representative on the list

- this nurse or a figure with her hair

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... I feel like this mostly makes sense, but i doubt they’d do Ogel and Doctor inferno.... maybe Willa the witch instead of one of those 2.

@Agent Kallus - I see that you mentioned “adventurer”, I will point it out - we do have Jungle Explorer from Sries 19, he does resemble Johnny Thunder.

I have no idea what Legoland Police looks like since I never visited the amumsnet park before but I will look it up eventually. But we have Classic policeman from Series 18.

I don’t think some minifigure to represent Ninjaog if we still have an ongoing theme for over 10 years now.

In my opinion, I think “classical” minifigures instea of “modernized” ones would be neat like we had Classic Policeman. Maybe one classical minifigure in Seires 23 2ill do good

Oh and I love that ‘toy maker” idea! Wit would be a perfct touch to Seires 23!

I know it is a typo, or a glitch in your translation software (and you know I’m not picking on you DBL) - but I actually lolled at the idea of a ‘mumsnet’ park? Sounds like the most terrifying theme park ever from what I’ve seen of the MumsNet site!

Whoops! But I actually laughed at your post, imagining tht way. :iamded_lol:

Yeah, I that's what I meant about the Johnny Thunder lookalike, as too the Legoland police officer, though it's called Legoland it's nothing to do with the amusement park. It's the minifig from before the possible limbs, I'd add a picture but I'm on mobile right now. I'll add one to the thread when I get home.

I don’t know if this will be a themed series completely but I can definitely see a Highwayman/Mr Gold mystery figure situation going on. Love @Agent Kallus’s idea of Bionicle figure in the classic mix. The Invasion from Below line is my absolute favorite and I always loved the wave when they made Bionicle figures so this idea excites the hell out of me.

Adding a mystery minifigure to a may-to-be 90th anniveary series may not make sense if there are a ton of classical minifiugres from past themes to be revisited.

it may be tough for desginers to select one classical minifigure to be coated in gold and as a “mystery” like Mr. Gold.

I don’t see a “mystery” minifigure being added to Series 23, just saying.

Luckily they seem to have been keeping away from revisiting chase minifigs. Artificial scarcity sucks.

Okay so I forgot, but here's a link to what I mean

Sorry to double post, but on Twitter Lego are holding a Tournament bracket style poll of minifigs for the 90th anniversary.

I wonder if any of them will be in the CMF?

I certainly wouldn’t discount it, if only because there are some obvious ones in there like pirates, forestmen, and classic space. But on the other hand, there are definitely a few that lego wouldn’t put in a CMF (for instance, ‘Motorcycle Dude’ is hardly going to make an appearance when lego had their City Stuntz line). And obviously it’s way too late for these poll to have any impact on what appears in series 23.

Oh you are talking about Rocket Racer (Motorcycle Dude)? And I agree with you.

I’ve been getting really back into CMF collecting this year, so this series is one of my most anticipated 2HY Lego releases now.

I think it’d be really cool if we got some sort of figure paying tribute to Ole Kirk Christiansen with like a Wooden Duck accessory or something.

Imagine if there’s a Chima figure + a mini doll as well. I reckon they’ll choose one figure per decade (like in the tournament) and then 3 general celebratory figures like Ole Kirk, and a brick suit.
