And for those hoping for series 23 to be anniversary themed - Lego is claiming that Lego Con is going to kick off the celebration of their 90th. Could this be linked to why series 23 is get a months-early reveal in direct contrast to the recent trend of so-late-they’re-already-being-found-on-shelves? We’ll have to wait and see. 

Ooooh, that makes a lot of sense!! Now, i need to lower my hype level becuase i’m already excited after reading this.

I doubt it, there was a lot of controversy the last time. Maybe we’ll get another one-per-box situation like the Classic Police Man or Percival Graves but I personally doubt it.

I’m excited to see Series 23; I’ve been really into the CMFs as of late and there’s a lot they can do with it.

I don’t know when Series 23 will be released. But considering it would be 9th anniveary stuff, I think August may be a perfect month instead of September. Just a wild guess. 

Man, I’m sure excited to see Series 23….

Agreed, I don’t think they will do “extra” minifigures like Mr. Gold and Highwayman in the past. I think one speical minifigure among 12 minifiugres make a lot of sense. 

For example…

We had Green Brick Suit Guy in Series 20 - he came with a “10” tile to represnt 10th annvieary of CMF

We got Classic Policeman from Sereis 18 - it marked 40th anniveary of minifigure

Maybe we would get a minifigure that remembers the Lego founder?

Ok, the description on Lion Queen’s Castle is out. It looks like there is no king minifigure included in this castle set. 

It makes me wonder - will Lion King show up in Series 23?

So Majisto is in the castle set, there is a forestmen in the gwp, and there is a red spaceman in the space set. Maybe minifigs of those themes won't be then in the s23? I hope there is a spaceman tho, either new color or the black one.

Honeslty, I don’t see why Majiesto, Forestman, Red & White Classic Spaceman should show in Series 23.

Like I said about my speculation above, there would be a queen in Castle set but no king. That may make sense for King to appear in Series 23 - it’s just my pure guess tho…

Lego has absolutely used CMFs to ‘enhance’ sets coming out at the same time before. I’ve already seen people in multiple places speculating we’ll get a king in series 23 since there rather notably isn’t one in the castle set. And like you said, a new color of spaceman (or at least a character in a classic spacesuit) would be well within Lego’s normal pattern even without an anniversary. Pretty much every popular theme has more than one type of character that inhabits it, so the designers have plenty of choices. 
 

Personally, I’m expecting at least the speculated king, some sort of spaceman (possibly a space woman or another alien), a pirate, and some sort of Bionicle tribute - which covers the four themes that made the final vote on the Ideas poll. And no matter what there’s going to be at least one or two City archetypes, both because lego always puts them in the CMFs and because it’s a major long running theme. I’d also expect something on the more fantasy side of castle (maybe with some overlap with Elves, since Friends already has a lot of overlap with City?), some sort of adventurer and/or diver, a martial artist as a nod to Ninjago, and I can see them repurposing the usual animal costume into a subtle fabuland/chima tribute. And I’d be super shocked if we didn’t get a new color of brick suit - hopefully with a more interesting accessory than the green brick suit guy.

There's this neat little book that just came out, and it's essentially Lego's version of "Where's Waldo". What I think is interesting is it gives a bit of insight as to what Lego might consider to be representative of its history. There's lots of Castle, Space, and Pirates in it for sure!

Imagine the madness that would ensue. If you don’t get there when a fresh box is put out...tough luck!  That would definitely be the hard to find minifgure & seeing as LEGO loves to troll, that would be only two to a case.

Or just one pack with three goats in it, one of them golden. And of course with a ratio of 1:1000 boxes. 
 

If the new cmf series will be lego history based i’d love to see printed tiles (with a set they appear in) for every fig. 
And wasn’t the third colour for the spacemen yellow?

Hey, I like that idea! Just like Classic Policeman in Series 18 came wiht 1x2 printed tile that depicted a set box he showed up in back in 1978.

I don’t think we had Yellow Spaceman before. But yes, please!

I’m not sure if I understand your quesiton. But I really don’t know if there was a Yellow Spaceman existing.

Oh sorry, I am such a huge fan of classic space that I kind of can't really imagine not knowing the colors that exist, my bad . Here's all the colors that exist or can be made. We're at 10 and counting!

Since I know not everyone sees all the colours or can tell them apart, I’ll list the Space-figure colours in the pic 

Green, Black, Blue, Light Grey, Red, Purple, Pink, Yellow, White & Orange

By the way, you have a great collection! It’s really neat seeing these existing colors - Other than yellow,  I had no idea there was a green one too.
