viracocha Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 It is a model of Holy Trinity Cathedral in a scale 1:180. The cathedral was built in 1813. A few years later, it had to be reconstructed, because there was a threat of collapse of the new bell tower. The project was undertaken by the famous Ural architect Mikhail Pavlovich Malakhov and the church was rebuilt. The general tonality of the whole structure put the Holy Trinity Church on a par with the best works of cult architecture of the first half of the XIX century, not only in the Urals, but throughout Russia. Rauy Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Very well done! Already saw this on Flickr and I really like the design. I had a few difficulties locating the original, since I'm not too acquainted with the Ural region and you didn't mention the name of the city (which I found is Kamensk-Uralsky). But once I saw photos of the original, it was immediately recognizeable. Your model is totally on-point! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Excellent build. The architectural design elements are all there to make it match the original. Kudos. Quote
