Technically, it's not the same spring if it's recolored to red.

Finally a proper tire thread profile for a sportscar, but boy oh boy did they exaggerate with the part colors. This thing can be built by an 8 year old.


I don't like the closed off exhaust mufflers. Also, these 4 type of red plates could have been easily recolored in transparent red.

Interesting parts but after blue straight gears we get another pair of bevel gears in yellow just to add to the color palette. As if it was easy to mix them up.

I think the inside spring is still the same stiffness, RacingBrick also thinks so, and it's just recolored to make it match the real car's suspension.

You don't see the underside of the model in the official pics, but I made some screenshots from RB's review.

The tires are quite a bit bigger than the previous ones. 81.6 mm vs 87.9 mm. That makes fitting them in existing models quite a bit more difficult.

I think I'll stick to the Lamborghini. It has the same functions as the Ferrari, plus the pushable doors and rear spoiler wing.

I know this has been, and will continue to be discussed ad nauseum, but what the color vomit does for me is actually decreases the building experience.  I feel I am putting together a clown car, a child's toy, rather than an adult's premium set.   Let me be confused, make a mistake or two... who care, I am supposed to be an adult.  

However, the new parts are cool.  Happy to see the new suspension shocks in there.  I know a lot were saying those shocks would be very difficult to implement in 1/8 scale cars.  So kudos to TLG for doing that.  

I can replace the color vomit, or at least the majority of it, with parts from my collection, so that is something I can overlook.  Still, for such an expensive set this means that I will actually even be adding to that cost, which is somewhat irksome.  But, for the new parts, and that fact I think there will be some good B models that come from this, if not pimped up version opportunities, I may consider getting this one.

I feel you. Just remember this set is not targeted at LEGO Technic fans who know the parts by heart, but at Ferrari and sports car fans who never built a LEGO set before. Basically all 18+ sets are mainly marketed at new customers.

This set is pretty nuts. That box design is super cool, definitely into that. The slipcase book is also really interesting, I will have to buy that as well. In terms of the car, I haven't totally seen the functions yet but to me it looks awesome, definitely a first day buy

You do know that the book will cost 80 US dollars and will be limited to 5000 pcs. and all reviewers and influencers already got their copy, right? Good luck fighting with the resellers over it. We all know what happens when LEGO announces a limited ed. item and how well the website performs in those few minutes.

Just watched racing bricks video. The errors he pointed out with the incorrect gearbox sequence and the missing panels at the end are crazy  I really hope its not like that... 

Stacks of awesome looking parts but I personally think this is the ugliest car out of the 4... And functions wise it looks no better than the Sian. Looks like lever doors again (that can only be operated when the rear is open?) that's a major annoyance if that's the case. I liked how the levers for the Sian were discreetly hidden in the bodywork. The entire drivetrain looks very copy/paste from the Sian as well as racing brick pointed out in his video.

In real life are the tyres really bigger on the SP3 than the Sian/Chiron? At least they will fill out the larger wheel arches better... but you are right, they won't fit on any of my current MOCs.

Saw the official post on Facebook, then went onto Lego website and added it to my wish list. Then came here and jumped back to YouTube to watch Racing Bricks video.

I’m a fan of the series and I have to say this doesn’t disappoint in terms of looks and complexity of connections. It baffles me how people work out these connections for bodywork! I like the use of the BMW shocks and good to see some more panels that add to the range. Sad to see some instruction errors with the gearbox and diffuser. But they don’t detract for me.

I like the special book but not sure if I need it in my life, so may not rush to but this.
