I really like this set for playability, parts and color if I had not the parts already it would be a must have, I think I am going to give a try to my reverse enginering skills...

This is what I got, it works very smooth a great work from Lego, I think it is very close to the real one, to do it pneumatic is a very good point.

I can't belive they did not add a worm gear and knob for the turntable and maybe include the DBG colored one from the UCS AT-AT not the typical black turntable :|.

Seeing your black grab arm, I suggest you to make it yellow and with smallest tractor tires...

In terms of scrapyard equipment, it's usually skid steers and telehandlers that use that sort of tyre. Material handlers generally don't; they run on non-directional treads.

I know that, that is why tires from Raptor/ Buggy were perfect (IMHO) for JCB Loadall 560/80 that is used in scrapyards...my suggestion was yellow because he has lots of yellow parts (based on number of his MOCs in yellow) and tractor tires I agree are more suitable for forest equipment

The waste handler looks slightly bigger than expected. The claw mechanism seems to work better than expected also. I'm surprised it's the same price as the tow truck though, this seems like way less value in comparison. But then the tow truck was incredibly good value sooo.....still a day one purchase for this pneumatic fan boy of course! But I can see that price hurting sales. As Jang would say "Is there 150 dollars worth of stuff?!". Maybe it will be more reasonably priced in other parts of the world. For me the fun and authenticity of pneumatics is worth it but we know from previous pneumatic sets that they don't increase sets prices this much. And I remember as a kid that, while I always thought they were cool, it was only after I got my own pneumatic set that I realised just how great they were. This makes me think they need a very small, very cheap single cylinder first half pneumatic set to get customers wanting more! And of course the long awaited pneumatic flagship coughJCB3CXcough!

I'd say we grab 42128 while it's still cheap, while your lips are still red, and build a waste handler AND something else out of it.

So yeah, I'd probably be a little tempted by this 🐕 if:

1: I didn't already own TWO far superior material handlers;

and 2: it wasn't a total rippe-offe.

In the event of a discount, the first point still overrides the second.

4CX would be better indeed; 4 equal size wheels, 4wheel drive and 4 wheel steering are easily incorporated, just look at 8455 set - extraordinary set with minor flaw (what I mentioned just before). And I prefer yellow over red (in machinery)

Very nice set, when I did the reverse engineering I did a few changes and the set improves a lot but it is enough good right now less for the color...

4CX would be better from our perspective but I think the 3CX, with the smaller front wheels is the more recognisable icon. But yeah I'd be VERY happy with a 4CX also!

But I wonder if they are testing some waters with this. Pneumatic sets still aren't that common, how long has it been since we had a pneumatic set two years in a row? It's been way longer since they recoloured pneumatics. Do we know the prices for other countries yet? Without knowing the US price I'd have expected it to be around £80 in the UK, maybe £100 after the company wide price hikes.

I think TLG bet on grey actuators blowing our minds. Can't speak for others, but it hasn't made me want to get this set.

They would look good on the Volvo though.

Yep, feels quite a bit on the expensive side at 108€, so while I'll probably get this eventually, it doesn't feel like a day 1 purchase for me.

TLG has plan to release pneumatic backhoe? are there some of this rumours?

I would be tempted.

but funny thing, 2 months ago i just finished backhoe loader from 42082 set (so no pneumiatic, but just lineart actuators), inpired by JCB Sitemaster 4CX/5CX or CAT 444F2

@ace_klimax JCB backhoe is just an old wish of @Maaboo35 and myself, since we are a kind of JCB fans (as you can see on my Fastracs and (unfinished Loadalls). It is just a wish; nothing more and nothing less. I would really like JCB 4CX backhoe as your beautiful 42082 C-model (with new 94mm tractor tires) but noone from TLC asks me; even if 

once upon time @grohl liked my green John Deere 8270R

Too expensive, and not good value.

I intend to wait until the instructions are available and build it from my spare red parts.

Technic always had specific colors for specific parts, why to change that?

Would 8880 have looked better with grey suspension and grey wheels?
