Indeed. And to me, the no. 2 problem is the lack of a more advanced remote controller. I use rechargeable AA/AAAs, which last a lot less than hours, but, like a proprietary Li-Ion, can be recharged (granted, in an external charger, with all the hassle that it implies). But, when those finally die out, whether rechargeable or not, more replacements can easily be bought anywhere. That's why 4.5V LEGO trains can still be run nowadays. Quote

No need to reinvent the wheel, just make the LEGO version of the Xbox or Ps4 controller :) But that'd also require the ability to be configured and used in standalone mode without the need of a smart device acting as a bridge, but that would need the VM mode to be functional on the hubs, so we get back again to the software/firmware development part of the story... Anyway @Unbrickme your last review is more enjoyable to watch than "surprised" videos of new leaks etc. Welcome to Eurobricks forum I'm so glad you enjoyed my review. Only a very small minority of my thumbnails actually contain a surprised or similar facial expression, so I always had a more serious approach Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 (edited) Funny how I see 5 vids with that face out of the last 15 vids of this guy, which doesn't sound like "a small minority." But anyhow let's get back to the topic. I took a look at the real 42140 that I have today, and I felt that the neon yellow looks actually faded or washed out in real life. So I think I'll replace all the neon yellow in this set with regular yellow as well. Edited July 19, 2022 by Ngoc Nguyen Quote

AVCampos Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 It can be the opposite: under some artificial lighting, fluorescent LEGO colours pop out more, so they may look duller under sunlight. Quote
thekoRngear Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 July 26 here, has the Airbus started to appearing in the local/physical shops? IIRC the Dom's charger the cement truck (and the like) started to appear week before their official release date. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 I called 2 local stores. Neither are offering early. Too bad. I could drive and make the purchase on the weekend, but start work on Mon so can't purchase on the "official" release Quote

Ngoc Nguyen Posted July 29, 2022 Author Posted July 29, 2022 Put this in the General Part Discussion thread already, but gonna put this here as well. This set has that problem. Quote
JaBaCaDaBra Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 wow Thanr looks like serious bad molding. Quote

I took that photo from another member who posted it here at the beginning of last year lol. The parts in this set that have that problem is the ones in white in the chassis. Quote

Johnny1360 Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 And while it may be inexcusable, fortunately the problem can be easily remedied, by simply using a secondary connection, like pins, or axles. I have also have noticed you can pair them up with others, to not be as noticeable, or you can stagger them in such a way to make the problem far more noticeable. Anyway, funnily I was just reading the description on the LEGO site, for the Airbus and it says, six AA batteries (included). I am sure that is a typo as it clearly says on the box, batteries not included. Going to be a few disgruntled customers, lol. Quote

AVCampos Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Hmm, that's a good idea. Albeit closing it back would become harder, even if meanwhile I managed to find a suitable screwdriver, and building with it might become a little bit harder, what with the broken and/or warped bits. Quote

Johnny1360 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Glad to see the instruction book and decals are packaged in a cardboard sleeve and come totally flat and without creases. Quote

That's not the first time though. Last year the book and stickers also came in a separate package with my 42128 which is IMO essential. Quote

Yes, but this error makes this part pretty much impossible to use in linkage mechanisms. Quote
thekoRngear Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Anyone follows this guy's reviews? With such small video and no voiceover, he made very good points with a nice summary. Quote
