menq Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) Ok, here is my home display... It is a collection of 354 minifigures (and counting) - including 38 key chains and 15 magnets. Big Cam Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I've been lurking on the site for a few months and always enjoyed checking out everyone's armies. The Battle Pack contest finally got me to join the site so I figured I'd share some of my armies as well! My goal is to create some large scenes, displays, etc. when I have more space to build so for now these are just my less common fig armies simply lined up:Shadow Troopers: Jawas: OK, well you explained the hoth minifigs, but what about the shadow troopers and Jawas, were those also purchased at that tent sale? Quote
huck to flat Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Wow Mos Eisly that makes me sad I'm not in america! Also, Would you trade off some of either the rebels with no helmets or snowspeeder parts? Quote
Fishy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 OK, well you explained the hoth minifigs, but what about the shadow troopers and Jawas, were those also purchased at that tent sale? I like the Jawa minifig and I thought it would be cool to build up an army of something I didn't think too many other people would have in large amounts. They really didn't cost me much, if anything, as I bought a lot of Sandcrawlers on sale and sold off the other minifigures, complete Sandcrawlers and sometimes just the Sandcrawler parts. It was on the previous page. Quote
mutley777 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Mutley, I remember seeing some of your pictures before but I didn't really know anyone's names or anything. You have some nice work in your Brickshelf folders. The Hoth Base is looking good. When do you plan on finishing it? I know a lot of people think it's sacrilegious to leave sets MISB, but I always like to see sealed sets, especially retired ones, all piled up! Thanks for the coments Mos_Eisley! As for the hoth diorama it had been put on hold as the news of this summers sets and now the january BP made me wait and see what stuff i could get for it in sets. Hopefully next year i can get going again and bring it to some kind of finished result. What i really need (and don't kill me for this guys ) is the Star Wars line to end. Then i can get on with some good MOCing instead if trying to keep up with getting loads of new sets. Quote
RileyC Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 great display meng and I love how they just come out of the wall like that. You seem to have a few gaps in places but your collection is way bigger than mine and it must've cost a fortune Fabulous work! Quote
Mos_Eisley Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Meng, definitely one of the cleanest fig displays I've seen. I'd love to do something like that, but I hate to dust so I'd need to put it into some kind of sealed enclosure! Big Cam, the Jawas came from many Sandcrawlers and the Shadow Troopers started from a lot of clearanced TIE Crawlers and then expanded when they showed up in the Battle Packs. None came from the tent sale. The only other Star Wars figs I saw at the tent sale were TIE Pilots, but unfortunately I didn't see that bin until another guy had cleaned most of it out. I was able to get about 20 of them though. Huck, I would be more than happy to trade some of the helmetless figs. Unfortunately, I don't really have any of the Snowspeeder parts anymore. All of those parts were traded away and sold to help fund the purchase. Let me know how many you are interested in and what kind of stuff you have to trade. Quote
CommanderFox Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) WOW! impressive armies menq Mos_Eisley Rocky menq your display method is amazing!, nice idea! Mos_Eisley You have a VERY IMPRESSIVE fig collection there its HUGE!! I wish I'd strike lucky like that. CommanderFox Edited September 12, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 This is my Clone Special Ops strike team, they are not a huge army, but more of a small but very efficient sabotage, espionage and assassination team. They also do small encounters with larger numbers but for that they rely on the help from the specially modified Republic "Tiger" Gunship and the AT-TE, call-sign "Smokescreen," as the machine spits out anti-heat-seeking sensor-jamming smoke that clogs up enemy lines. The Fighter Tank has an onboard R2 unit. Their leader is Field Marshall Delta, or Commander Delta for short. He is a specialist sniper and very good with flashbang grenades. Good armies everyone, "judge me by my size, do you?" Quote
Smidy101 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Can't figure out how to make a 1.2MB photo down to 100kB for now. However I've recently received 10 plus chrome storm troopers and have a mixture of empirial and clone troopers. Once I figure out the software side I put them in. Quote

CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Those things ARE expensive!!! Did you find them, or trade for them or even got them on sale enough to buy all of them? Or a mixture of all? Quote

You'll have to use an image-hosting site like brickshelf.com and then deeplink the pics here. If you need to find out how to do just that, then follow the link in my signature to the tutorial section. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 This is my old army from a pic taken in Summer 2008. I'll take a pic of my current collection and post it soon. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Do people only have minifig collections nowadays? I wonder where all these missing vehicles are. Just a reminder to all these newcomers that this is 'Show You Army', not just 'show how many minifigs you have'. I'll try to take more recent photos of my collection sometime. Quote
Legoman Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Do people only have minifig collections nowadays? I wonder where all these missing vehicles are. Probably my house Just a reminder to all these newcomers that this is 'Show You Army', not just 'show how many minifigs you have'. Ah but its basicly "show your star wars lego" now.... Its changed, hence the changed title Speacking of which.... I should probably get a pic up of some of my 'army's' Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 It says 'Show Your Army & Home Display' not just your army. But please show your vehicles as well, I did't but I have done before. I thought I would just show a portrait of my squad. Quote

As I said, I was just reminding them that this thread's not only for fig collections, but armies as well. I wasn't saying they shouldn't be posted here. Edited September 28, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) I know, but I still agree with you: 'What happened to the vehicles?' But sometimes it is hard to make all vehicles fit in one shot. I know that the 2008 LAAT is so hard to fit because of its enormous wingspan. Edited September 28, 2009 by CloneCommanderDelta7 Quote
Smidy101 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Some chromies from before but better quality Now I've got deep link working Here are some pictures of my army with an AT AT centre stage. These pictures are close ups of different sections of the Battle Station And a Ewok village for fun, Quote
Bobskink Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Some chromies from before but better quality the green reflection works really nice on the chromies, but I don't like them as an army however. Quote
