Jeez! Absolutely amazing

Nuts, more like it.

I wonder at roughly what point it would be cheaper to buy molding and printing machines to make your own? 100,000 figs? A million?

Pretty sure Aryo is the same guy who built his own Executor and put around 50 mini ships around it. And then displayed it in a Stormtrooper outfit. This guy is the definition of a hardcore AFOL.

I hate to rain on your parade but I don't think so. :hmpf_bad:

10,000 LEGO Clone Troopers pic by Aryo Gono,

I think you have to collect a little more to achieve this.

OMG! that is huge and plenty!

I'm still waiting to see what madoka posts here...

I had a "what the heck am I thinking!?!?!?" moment about when I hit 6,000 SW figs and I slowed down around that time to concentrate on Castle. Today I'm around 9,000 SW figs, but that includes rebels, imperials and clones.

Wasn't there also a mass gathering of CW Clones back in '08 that TLG did for a charity organization or something? I remember they were unarmed clones, but I believe they numbered 25,000.

"LEGO employees at LEGO UK head office in Slough assembled an "army" of 35,310 Clone Trooper mini-figs in six and a half hours in July 2008."

I always thought that pic was at an event or gathering of some sort and not his personal collection. All his pics from his personal collection seems much, much smaller. Do you know if that is all his?

Yes, that's the one, thanks. :sweet: So I was only off by 10,310.

Yeah, I was looking through his flickr and saw it, not the one with him in stormtrooper garb, though. Really impressive.

If he was a REALLY hardcore AFOL, the outfit would be made of Lego too...

How do you get minifigs in bulk like that? I don't think I've seen anybody sell that many on bricklink.

Buy lots of army building sets, look out for sales, and accumulate over the years. Having a lot of money helps, too.

I was browsing Clone Armies on YouTube. A few of them mentioned a "LLCA", large(st) Lego clone army. I've never read anything about that here. Anyone know what it's about? Is it an actual club, or just some friends making one... The kid who I first heard it from had a decent sized one, both in troops and vehicles, although a lot were BPs. He had 300+ clones, old and new BPs.

Awww, I wish they had a better picture of the 35,310 troopers.

So the next time my wife complains, I just have to show her the other pics in this thread

I've done that SEVERAL TIMES already.

She still complains.

THAT can't be said often enough!

I mean, think about it...even if he bought each of those clones for $1, no shipping...that's over TEN GRAND just in MINIFIGS!

I almost think we've jumped the shark on minifig counts, now nothing will be impressive.

How about we focus on how people display their sets/figs? We might get some good ideas on how to show off sets/figs without taking over rooms.
