Pretty impressive collection, but why is Wald with the Jedi?

To me, his usefullness is the podracer set is non existant, so I just use him as a Rodian Youngling.

^^Wald's reaction to the "not useful" statement (and Kitster's reaction to not being in the set altogether)..!

@Ritz Brick

Your display is certainly presented in a much more organised fashion than mine was, looks great!

I wish I could have every Star Wars set.

After spending months taking down, washing and boxing up all sets from 1999 to 2009 (now working on 2010), I sometimes wish I didn't have all the sets.

Of course, I'm actually glad that I do , but I've really had it with dust, cleaning, checking inventory etc.

You have quite a collection on display, so dust must be an issue for you as well. How do you deal with it? (I went for 'ignorance is bliss'...)

Why would you dismantle it? It's too awesome to destroy...

it's too big to put in the car as it was, i have to fit all of them in a Corolla Verso with the missus!

Don't take it apart! If madoka can buy a new house, you can buy a new car!

Surely you can put you car in the back of the AT-AT .

Speaking of that, a group tried to build a life-sized AT-AT but Lucas's team of lawyers shut that down. Bummer.

Dust is a problem yes, especially because we just did some house renos and a lot of sawdust and dust got blown around. I usually just take everything off one shelf at a time, dust it, scrub the top of the sets lightly with a toothbrush, put all the sets back up. and then usually once everything is back up. It's time to dust again

What a set collection! You're almost out of room!

I have embedded the picture of gratefulnat's collection below.

:cry_happy: WOW, WOW, what can I say but WOW.

This is somthing I can only aspire to. One day hopfully I will own every single SW set ever released but I only started collecting in 2007 and missed so many sets that sre now very expensive like 10123 CC. As well as having a morgage and family so its hard to put the money aside to collect everything. Im currently have about half of the SW collection but hase been pulled down due to my son constantly playing and breaking kits and losing parts :hmpf_bad: , so I cant take a pic as I used to have it all on display.

That's an amazing collection Cavegod! I can't imagine how long it took for you to design & build them all, I don't think that I would ever have the ability or patience. Do you work with a 'trial and error' approach or use software? I tried using Lego's Digital Designer, but it was way too frustrating!

Did your sandcrawler survive the journey home? I'm looking forward to seeing the interior of it! :classic:

Ha, my son and his friends were always pretty good with my LEGO, except for one exception: My son's first overnight sleepover at our house with two friends when he was five. I woke up at 5 in the morning due to funny sounds coming from the LEGO room, and found the three kids in the room, broken sets all over the floor AND a whole 1 Kg packet of chocolate powder emptied on the floor and spread all over everything. I have had a few bad mornings in my life, but this morning went down in family history as the non-plus-ultra of 'the worst morning wake up for daddy'!

 Sorry for laughing but that is a bit funny(I love the chololate powder over everything, they where all on a sugar high at 5 in the morning) but would have had a heart attack as well :sing: . I tyred to make a rule if you touch it it must go back where it came from and no parts missing as I'm worried that one of his freinds will take a part or minifig. If I dont have the Lego arranged and sorted out I cant tll what Im missing until its too late. Id love to store it all behind glass so sticky sugary fingers cant tough them.

they will be on display at the great western lego show in October the sandcrawlers interior will probably not be finished by then but the crane is coming along nicely.
