Model of an American Mack truck with a container semi-trailer. The model uses small battery pack, sbrick, XL motor for driving and servo motor for steering. The truck and semi-trailer has a working suspension on all wheels, which you can see in the video.

Mmm, such a sweet truck. I love the Mack axles at the truck's rear - quite a remarkable thing, with a driveshaft going above the axles.

What are the tires here? I see they are a bit too soft, RC-model ones?

What a beauty! Mack R's to me is one of the most charming things on the road where I live, and I smile every time I see them on the road. Your MOC captures that charm perfectly! All the subtle curves on the hood and the cab are so carefully executed! So many details to complement! The very slight taper of the hood from front to rear, the framing around the door windows, the distinctive curve of the cab under the doors, angled windscreen, it's all brilliant. Even the container is very well done. A huge amount of careful work really shows. And that's only the exterior. The Technic bits underneath are excellent too. That rear suspension with the air springs... :wub_drool:

One question: I cannot quite figure out how you did the front head lights? What is the grey part between the transparent 1x1 round plate and the 2x2 jumper? Head lights smaller than 2x2 is a pain point for me.

P.S. Russian number plate on Mack R is a funny touch.

Great job again! I love the container trailer.

All the details are superb like the driveline above the axles on the rear, and the curves on the hood. Also I love the details of the cables and brake lines and the Dark Blue stripe.

I am with @proran , how did you do the front lights?

Thanks! tires are really soft. They are made by one master from Belarus for truck models.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I love American trucks from the 70s and 80s. I think this Mack is not the last one I have collected!

For the headlight, I used a minifigure collar. I love using different minifigure accessories in my builds.

Very, very nice MOC! The look is great, the functions are solid, especially for the scale, and the presentation is high-quality!

Thank you!

Wow, it really fresh idea! The headlights are bigger than 1*1 but smaller 2*2 are always a real challenge. So, you solved it perfectly, sir!

I have a few more ideas on how to make such headlights, maybe I will show them in the next models!

Beautiful model; one of my plans in 1:18 scale (with offset cab).

Thanks! Looking forward to your model!

I love how well it hides RC parts. From the first look I'd guess this is a static/manual model.

Those tyres look awesome, definitely would want to get my hands on details like this :D

That would take some time; work, family, pets...and I have 5 - 6 projects to finish before that ...but I'll post it in my thread

It's no secret im a huge truck fan.

It's the small details and the correct proportions that make this moc outstanding given the scale It's built in and the functions. A lot of love has been lavished on this.

The only one comment is the amount of toe in on the front axle when turning. It's a by product of your front axle design.

Recognized this as your model instantly. I remember first seeing the K100 and just being enamored with the detailed design, functionality and presentation. And the Mack is no different. I don't generally care for trucks that much, but yours just hit the sweet spot for me. Might be a pinch or two of Model Team nostalgia there.

I'll join others in applauding especially the use of minifigure collars on the lights. The trailer hoses are always a nice touch and I really appreciate the work put in all the accessories such as the shipping container. Lovely work all around - seeing these always brightens my day.

Wow... I really really love this model. Looks and functioning are top notch.  I detail I love that I don't think has been pointed out... the air ride suspension! Brilliant! (not functioning, the aesthetic detail in the underbelly shot)

Presentation of the suspension is also terrific.  Tires are a great choice. There is even a little indent to the front axle tires from the weight.  Something that mimics real life that you often don't get from Lego tires...

Great looking model, and I like the implementation of the suspension and it's presentation / testing, makes it really evident that it works well, but I am still unsure how exactly it is done, as I don't see any springs on the rear wheels of the truck. Does it uses torsion bars? Furthermore, I also cannot quite imagine what exactly locates the axles laterally, as those links that I see on the belly image don't seem to be enough for that. Can you give some more details about that part?

Also, in the driveshaft, is there a U-joint between the two rear axles? Nice compact motorization by the way!

Can you tell me what you are referring to here? It seems to me that the steering geometry is correct, and there should not be toe in. What I rather see on the testing pad is some bump steering maybe, though not sure if it has to do with front suspension geometry.

Rule one. Don't post to eurobricks when tired. It should have been camber. Not toe in. Could well be just the way I'm looking at the photo as well.

Kind regards Matt

Extraordinary work!  This is my favorite scale and I am blown away by what you have done.  Like @gyenesvi I can’t quite make out how the rear truck axles work - can you show us what they look like from above?

Thanks! Unfortunately, the seller of these tires does not have a website, it is only on Facebook

Thank you! There are backlashes in the suspension of the front axle, because of this, toe changes occur. but this does not greatly affect the movement of the model in a turn.

Thanks! This Mack truck is slightly larger than the K100. I really like the design in the style of Model Team, but at the same time I want my trucks to be working like models of the Lego Technic series

Thanks! The tires are really very soft and flex a lot.

Thanks! I took a photo. Hope this helps you figure out how it works. The suspension design has a conventional balancer, like on real trucks

Yes, there is a cardan between the rear axles.
