efferman Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) Well, it is better after eliminating most of the slack, but without a steering hub like this, we have to accept some slack. Edited December 16, 2023 by efferman Quote
msk6003 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) I bought C63004 Yellow car and built recently. And I found cada's 1/2 bush can work as double sided anti stud plate! TLG's 1L bush has some cutout on one side which can fit between 4 stud. Cada's 1L bush also has it on one side but for some reason, cada's 1/2 bush has cutout on both side which make it work as double sided anti stud plate. Edited December 16, 2023 by msk6003 Quote
efferman Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 (edited) The steering system is working in a acceptable way. The chassis in the video is more or less completely overhauled. The nose is shorter and the frontaxle sits now a stud more forward. All Axles now have a independent suspension with nearly doubled suspension travel. Because of this it needs probably harder shocks. And yes it seems i have lost a liftarm. Edited December 17, 2023 by efferman Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 The tendency to flip is pretty high - at least on a plain and grippy surface.. Quote
efferman Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 (edited) Indeed! I guess the suspension is simply to soft for hard turns. Maybe a stabilizer bar is a solution. Edited December 18, 2023 by efferman Quote

Ez az első modellem, amit a semmiből a CaDA-hoz terveztek, míg a klasszikus sportautó és a London Taxi régebbi mocsikra épült. A méretarány nagyjából megegyezik a legtöbb Creator Expert/Icons autó méretével. A funkciók a következők: hátsó felfüggesztés, független első felfüggesztés, kormányról működtetett kormány, működő álmotor, nyitható ajtók, motorháztető és csomagtartó. A modell a CaDA akkumulátordoboz/vevőegység, a meghajtáshoz L-motor és a kormányzáshoz szervo segítségével motorizálható. A modell motorizálása kicsit bonyolultabb, de sokkal érettebb is, mint a C61045 klasszikus sportautó motorizálása. Hey! This set is fantastic, you captured the design of the original car perfectly. I want to build a street version of this car. Is your build guide available somewhere? It would be a great help. Thanks! Quote
brickphisto Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Hi @Thomas-O-Pamacska and welcome to Eurobricks! Thank you for your praise. I would not say the design is perfect but I am pretty pleased with the model. Unfortunately I do not know if instructions have been uploaded by CaDA yet. You might contact them directly. However I used few unique CaDA parts like four 1x8 mudguards and the 12x2x5 trapezoidal windscreen which I consider game changers and which are not available by Lego or any other competitor. So it might be best to still buy the original set and modifiy it. Quote
Thomas-O-Pamacska Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Front bumper I haven't found it on the cada's website yet, but unfortunately I noticed that the fender is not in Lego's range, so it definitely needs a replacement part if I want to make it from Lego. I wrote them an email, I wonder if they will reply. Which detail are you not satisfied with? My front bumper looks like this. Quote
Aurorasaurus Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 upon looking on their website, cada no longer sells metal U joints for US$1. this is a shame. does anyone know somewhere that still sells them? Quote

R0Sch Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 (edited) Sorry, but the blue pins ruin the whole look. I get that it's an entry level set, but they run under the same part and price range where we had previously models without the need for color coding. And again, I don't get why this set is not in the CaDA MASTER Series even though it's a licensed MOC design of @Bricksley. It even has the same box type as @eric trax's tractor or telehander, which btw were both motorized, but this "Make your bricks move" set isn't. So confusing and inconsistent. The answer to your questions is quite simple. This model is much smaller, so it does not qualify for the MASTER series because it has much fewer bricks and is simpler to build. The box is decorated similarly to the Master series because the product is licensed and even despite its small size, CADA wants it to look as good as possible. 1 hour ago, R0Sch said: Sorry, but the blue pins ruin the whole look. I almost didn't notice it. The set is also intended for younger children, so the color coding is an advantage in my opinion. You can always replace the pins with black ones. I also use the color coding on my CLAAS combine harvester. Maybe it's not visible at first glance. With color coding, building is much less frustrating. I know it's the Master series, but the pleasure of building is also important to me. For example, that is why I divided the combine frame into four modules that connect into one whole to make the construction process more friendly. Edited December 26, 2023 by eric trax Quote

In this case, I am only the designer of the model, it is not a copy of my previous MOC and at the moment it is impossible to build 1:1 with LEGO bricks - but the policy of releasing the set, presentation, name of the series, etc. belongs strictly to CaDA, so here You should ask them directly about their decisions :) There was no color coding in the prototype, but the final appearance is the company's approach to the sets. Although I can say that in the final model we managed to use black and gray axles in many places, including black axles 2, so apart from the pins we won't see a rainbow of colors inside the model (like in LEGO), it also applies to non-technic bricks. Soon there will also be an official review from me in the form of a video - showing the set in more detail than the advertisement itself :) 32 minutes ago, efferman said: I have to agree! I agree with this - this is a big and fundamental difference between MOCs built for yourself and models where instructions/sets are made available to a larger group of recipients. Quote

Such kind of response is highly embarassing, as the issue itself is. Don't worry, we'll take care of it on the highest level. The least thing what will happen, is that you'll receive the right parts finally. I delivered the evidence myself - it's a sealed bag where both types of parts are included, there is no excuse. The good thing is that such errors can be traced back in a modern Kanban operated industry. The mole will be found and made accountable. I wish this person good luck, he or she will face serious consequences. In the end this episode will only enhance the quality control process in general . To all the haters who are silently rejoicing - nothing and nobody will stop CaDA making superior designs and beating the competition over and over again. I slayed some giants already. No fear, no regrets ! Rarely seen a more out of place, more arrogant posting. Seems like someone's success has gone to their head... The last paragraph in particular speaks volumes about your mindset... very disconcerting Sorry for the strong words... Quote

You have to choose your pain: do you rather accept a less pleasurable building experience, or an uglier model in the Vitrine? For the supercar models I think black pins make most sense, but somehow less important on agricultural and construction sets. Edited December 26, 2023 by amorti Quote

mla2 Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 (edited) I've built my own version of old set C63002W which is a Pagani Huayra Roadster BC in 1:10 scale. When I first saw it I was suprised since I hadn't seen it before (its not present on the CADA website) and immediately liked it since I like 1:10 most for some reason. Luckily free instructions where available and after looking at what mudguards could be used I picked to build it in DBG and black with red accents which is most like in Pagani's promotional material: Quickly I found some disappointing problems with the set, most notably an unopenable front hood and engine cover but in fact many more problems. I suppose it wasn't really ready for sale and tried to improve it, using pictures of the real car to see how the front hood and engine cover actually opened. I wasnt prepared for how much time it was going to take and also wasn't yet aware of the other problems of the set's design but in the end I did achieve what I was hoping for and here are some photos of my first proof of concept: Here's the full list of the most important changes: The front hood and rear engine cover can now be opened and kept open, both in the same way as on the real car. Added Powered Up and Buggy/Monster motor support. Add throttle and brake pedals, and extra brake light like on the real car and improved the rearview mirror. Added an openable glove box and more cabin details. Added rear air breaks and brick built red accents to the engine cover and spoiler like on the real car. Made the engine visible from the top like on the real car, instead of using a sticker to suggest a window. Widened both axles with 2 studs so proper looking wheels can be used instead of racing wheels. Added an extra pair of shock absorbers to the real axle to prevent sagging. Replaced the System based rear diffuser with a Technic one, also fixing the original asymmetry. Replaced the front bottom LED bar with a brick built solution instead of using a sticker. Modified the center console to better resemble the real car. I also found a nice stickerset on brickstickershop.com for the red strip on the front hood. After this I built the virtual model, created instructions and built in proper colors. It can be built in red and black also: See Rebrickable for the free instructions and also I move a little demo movie using a Buwizz monster motor: Thanks to CADA for releasing their instructions for free! LvdH Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Well done! DBG/black/red will never not look great. I feel the wheelarches are sitting a bit too high though, especially in the back. Quote
mla2 Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Thanks! The CADA version uses a different mud guard at the back but from TLG that one is only available in white with a print + orange (and the front one only in dbg, red or black). I also dont like the flex axles myself. Perhaps the entire car could be lowered a bit instead, havent tried that. Quote

I like how close to the real car this got with only using a minimal amount of stickers! @mla2 did you manage to put stickers onto the curved parts in the virtual model? With which software did you achieve that? Studio Part Designer? I only managed to do that on a few flat tiles. Quote

I didn't do anything special: it streches the sticker a bit extra in the curved parts but otherwise it's ok. Did the same in my Mad Mutt RC MOC. Quote

Stretching would not matter to me as it still looks pretty good, my problem is that I could not even start with such a part to decorate, as Studio Part Designer does not offer such parts to put the stickers on, only basic bricks. But now that I tried differently, I did manage to find the way to put a decal on any part.. Thanks that you showed me that it's possible and so to keep looking. I'll experiment with this more! Quote
Sokolov Edward Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) Cada has updated the catalog of instructions. A new motorcycle, C59021, has become available from the Technics kits. The list of parts makes an increasingly sad impression - dismembered panels certainly do not improve the assembly process, IMHO. I hope they will post a Mercedes, although there are big doubts against the backdrop of the removed La Ferrari. Edited December 29, 2023 by Sokolov Edward Quote
amorti Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 3 hours ago, Sokolov Edward said: dismembered panels certainly do not improve the assembly process, IMHO. I must disagree. On the contrary, I believe the new CaDA panels are a boon for vehicle design. The new panels can be used with or without the base, giving more shaping and mounting options particularly at smaller scale and in small detail areas. If used, the base can be applied in its mirror image position, giving more shaping and mounting options. The panels themselves have a more organic shape, allowing more realistic vehicles to be built. Yes, it will take the moment to relearn to design intricate bodies with them, but the tool is sound. Just look at the Mercedes, especially in person, and compare to the usual panels. I really don't see a downside with the new panels. I only would wish for a 2L bar piece as a joiner rather than minimum 3L as CaDA seems to have so far. Quote
