IMHO Cada created such panels for the same reason as the cut frames - licensing restrictions. In designs they almost always come with bases. Technics already has too many details to call it a universal game constructor. Although this is a construction set, and not a kit for assembling a model as similar as possible to the original.

@Sokolov Edward in the Mercedes, bases are mostly present. This makes sense since Bruno designed the set before the new panels existed.

However you mentioned the Katana instructions have been published. It's a more recent set designed around the new panels. The set contains 10 bases and 15 panels, which can't be called 'almost always'.

I think that not only tapered panels but also grooved flat panels are very useful parts. There are parts of the model I'm building that can't be replaced with Lego flat panels, and as far as I know, Efferman's crane model also uses those part.

P.S - My model is almost finish. Need to work only in front parts.

Function - 4wd drive with 2 buggy motor(can choose speed while building), L4 engine(but something is different with other car) front wheel steering, independent suspension, detachable bonnet and engine cover.

Yes, but i have designed the model long before all these part changes happened. So the model is not using their advantages. The divided frames for example are good and worse at the same time. They need more parts to be solid, but at the same time there are possibilities which solid frames don't have.

I have seen marketing material a few days ago to check it, but i have no exact date.  January was the last timeframe i hve heard from.

Sorrry, but I don't have any updates on this at the moment.  Considering the large amount of sets which are about to be released, I can imagine the release of the updated version will not be prioritised. I'd say keep an eye out on the CaDa webstore. Logically, the box design will be updated for the v3 because the updated panels - that is how you can identify which version is being sold. I would advise you to consider getting the V2. There are plenty of forums/videos with people illustrating adjustments you can make. Besides, most of the updates are to avoid usage of copyrighted parts. In the meantime I am investing all my free time in my next big licenced release.

Freakware It is the official Cada distributor for europe. When it is an error, then an typo.

Very nice! The studless/studfull mix is quite interesting, and looks very good! I really like the idea for that micro flat-six engine, with the sort of automatic-piston-return functionality. The only unfortunate bit is that that only works with the less realistic flat-six motion rather than the boxer-six motion Porsches really have (Where opposite pistons should be moving opposite directions), but that's not something people even manage to do on large-scale models, so I mean that as no criticism! It looks great, has solid functionality, and has a nice motorization option too!

I only have the part list of my Prototype and not from the Set. Probably CaDA sends me my copy in the next days or i get them in Nuremberg on the toyfair.

Hope CaDA will stop making stickers placed over multiple pieces especially in rally cars (e.g. Alfa Romeo, Citröen C4 etc.). I want to be able to fully disassemble the sets too.

180$ for the crane truck is not cheap considering it has no motorization, no license and no unique or printed pieces.

Yes. sticker on multiple parts is bad. But at least you can cut using knife before disassemble. 180$ on that crane seems little expensive but considering number of cada unique parts I think that is fair enough.

Ignore it. 42141 Mclaren F1 and 42098 Car transporter is 180$ lego technic set. Seems those crane is little overprised but not so much. 160~170 will best to me.
