March 2, 20232 yr I made a comment on the LaFerrari thread: that even though this indeed is good news there is no definitive instruction list for the fix to gearbox, no? Now that they have put it up for sale on their site are the instructions revised with the gearbox fix? If not, I would actually caution against buying it now unless one is prepared to search, etc. for the fix they will have a limited gearbox. Which is no fun. I bought the set and am now building it. As much as I love it I need to research how to fix the gearbox. Kinda a pain. Also, don't forget the possibility of the rims changing. I know there have been internal discussions at CADA on this. I have the old ones, which appear, universally, to be the poor choice for the rims. Again, perhaps another reason to wait on purchasing this.
March 2, 20232 yr Yes, the model is now for sale on the official CaDa webstore! The gearbox issue has been fixed for this set, so I highly recommend buying it here. Unfortunately the other fixes/improvements have not been implemented, as far as I know. I was also informed the rims won't be changed on the model. I should receive my set next week and will try to build and update the car with minimal extra parts to fix most of the known issues. Expect a Video tutorial to appear on my YT channel soon afterwards.
March 3, 20232 yr Sounds great, but too bad about the wheels. Those generic ones don't suit it and are the reason for me not to buy it 😕

That´s really a pity, I´m speaking for myself here because I as collector need "original" wheels and no discussions. Considering - how expensive a DIY version can be for an individual - recently I have spent around 300+ bucks for 2x sets of custom wheels in these dimensions on shapeways, the preliminary CAD works not included - these are exhausted wheels used on several older sets already - other models like the AMG get multiple new molds produced (exclusive parts which don´t fit any other set!) - your blue Centenario got a set of extra wheels which can be purchased separately - the Viva hypercar has big potential to serve as flagship for a sufficient period We should fight this to the end and let them make a set of alternative wheels available in the spare parts.
March 6, 20232 yr At this moment I'm building CADA 61051 - CLAAS Telehandler by @eric trax First of all I would like to thank Eric for such beautiful model and very hard work! That kind of collaboration between designers and companies like CADA delivering more and more great sets to allow everybody to enjoy building anp playing with detalized models. But I've found flav in design. According to instructions on step A100 you need to connect one lower side of telehandler to its base. And there is a diagonal beam (7-size) which need to be perfectly fitted above motor. But when I tried to connect them I've found it impossible without damaging black 4x axle. That's because beam itself fits lower than motor and there is no space between them. I've checked previous steps in instruction to find my mistakes, but everything built correctly. On the photo you can see how much space is sufficient to use 4x axle (I insert long blue pin instead). Beam already sitting at the top of motor. Could anyone explain to me, what I did wrong and how you overcame this problem correctly? Edited March 6, 20232 yr by Ahm-crew

This is one of the CADA changes in my first model for them. In the original Scorpion, instead of axle 4, I used Bar 3 (lego number 87994) which allows you to connect the elements you indicated in the picture. The upper liftarm is also moved further up due to the shape of the CADA drive motor. Here is the page from the original building instruction: Edited March 6, 20232 yr by eric trax
March 7, 20231 yr Thank you @eric trax ! That make sense. P.S. Case tractor and Liebherr dump truck are waiting for their turn to build. Looking forward for your 4th model!
March 7, 20231 yr I think some will appreciate this one. Upcoming model from CaDA, designed by Eric Trax.

You are right about the panels! @efferman has found additional use for the spared 11x5 frames too - e.g. you can lock gears inside a rack and prevent them sliding out or mix the halfs of a 11x5 with a 7x5 frame for whatever special purpose. March 8, 20231 yr Can anyone confirm whether the L linear actuator is closer in size the L or XL version of this part in Lego? https://decadastore.com/products/cada-14-22m-large-hydraulic-cylinder-jv9034 I am searching for about 7 of these parts in the L size (Lego). I would prefer to buy from the CADA store if possible as their price is much more reasonable... Edited March 8, 20231 yr by nerdsforprez

March 9, 20231 yr So, the retracted size is the same but the extended size is one module longer? Won't that give less lateral support for the inner shaft when extended?

It´s not exactly DBG, but LBG which might have a little darker intonation than the Lego color, IDK. We are filling some niche there, I suppose Yes! It comes in 2 separate pieces. Fun fact: the versatile rotor blades I´ve had designed for that purpose, are being used in a bunch of other models ;-). The wheels & arches have been made after my drawings which I´m really proud of as well. We will meet in Nürnberg, God willing Is it an AMG official licensed one ?

Yet you will have to wait until summer after production launch, until final release, when all the approvals will be valid. Licenses cost money and are granted for certain periods, for you understanding.

The model has two battery boxes and seven motors. If someone doesn't like controlling the application, they don't have to worry. The set will also come with a physical RC remote control which I am as proud of as the model. Below is the look of the excavator control application in better quality. I still can't believe that people think only LEGO can get official licenses. CADA is entering this market very aggressively. JCB is a very demanding licensing provider and they don't give it to every toy. You can take my word for it. It was very demanding even for me. One hint I can tell you is that the excavator has a new part that @SaperPL and I designed especially for this set and many Technic AFOLs will love it as soon as they see it. If anyone doubts what I am saying about licenses, below is another page from the cataloge <mic drop>. One of these models may remind you of what I have built before. March 12, 20231 yr Seriously, the developments in this thread show just how far TLG is lagging behind the competition now. Physical remotes for app control, and the mighty JCB license to boot. JCB! Unreal. Meanwhile, what does TLG offer? Some NASCAR shit.
March 12, 20231 yr CADA has other licenses with JCB, but for their RC toys, so I guess that was a good head start for getting the JCB license. I always wonder if JCB seeing Cat's LEGO license would encourage them to go with (let's be honest with ourselves in terms of market position) a second tier brick toy company. In any case, if the toys are good then both parties can win.
