Sergeant Kilherby eyed Private Upperton, who was lock-kneed and apparently daydreaming.

"Private, I said 'Fix Bayonets!'"

An outtake shot while testing out a new lightbox - thought it was salvageable

Not too shabby!  Little bit of shadow creeping in around the bottom.

But outtake? Implying there are better shots to come?

Yes, an outtake because I was just trying out the lightbox for the first time and the lighting setup is uneven. I had a nice bright daylight bulb on the right but dimmer LED ring lights on the left. Will use bright lights on both sides next time!

Similar but not identical soldiers will be appearing in a BoBS MOC shortly!

Those figs look cool. Where are the muskets and bayonets from?

Edit: Ok, so the muskets are BrickArms. They look fantastic.

The musket looks great! :pir-oh: Did you paint it yourself? I like the bayonet too.

Yes the muskets are dual-molded limited release series from BrickArms - they are super sturdy and look great! The are also pretty expensive so I think you'll see the solid brown versions in any larger army builds from me :pir-grin:

The bayonets are from BrickForge. I like them better than the ones offered by BrickArms

No, I don't have a steady enough handy to paint such small things or I would have tried! As mentioned above, they are overmolded muskets specially made by BrickArms

It may be a silly question, but those torsos are not Lego, right?

Yes and no :pir-grin: They are official LEGO torsos that have been stripped of their original print and pad-printed with the classic imperial soldier print instead
