July 14, 200816 yr Well, less than one week to go, but I'm not feeling anctious to buy any of the new Star Wars sets. I think I wont buy any of them, also because I'm super mad about the DS price increase. The only set I was really looking for in the stores so far this year has been the 2,99 € Castle goblin warrior, but I need just a litle more patience.
July 14, 200816 yr I'm not big into the Star Wars sets, mainly because they don't mesh well with my historical theme sets, but after looking through the sets still coming this year, the Clone Wars' Twilight spacecraft caught my eyes because of the great minifigs it holds (and since it's not that large, it could be affordable). I just have to get my hands on that übercute Rotta the Hutt figure, and I can think of a few roles for the Ahsoka fig in my Fantasy Castle comics, too.
July 23, 200816 yr Since the release dates of the new Star Wars Clone Wars sets are getting closer, I thought it would be good to get a thread started on who's gonna buy what.I will probably by the RGS, AT-TE, TX-130s, HSD, and the V-19 That's exactly what i'm going to get!
July 23, 200816 yr Hm, I guess I'll get the AT-TE and RGS for sure because I missed them. I will pick up the Homing Spider Droid earlier though, and get the TX-130 tank when it comes out. The V-19 Torrent, Magna Guard Starfighter, and Droid Gunships are a maybe from best chance to little.
July 25, 200816 yr I will definitly buy the RGS,cause I did not buy the first one and without a RGS my Clone army looks a bit incomplete. I will also buy all smaller sets like the V-19,HSD and the Magna Guard Fighter. The sets I won Edited July 25, 200816 yr by Stealth Hunter
July 25, 200816 yr yorkiejim, can I have a seed from your Money Tree? I have some bills to pay. While I'd love to have one of each set, I'm going to start with the RGS. I missed the RGS and AT-TE the first time around. I'll probably snag the HSD as soon as I see it, as well. Especially if it's a TRU exclusive (I believe it is). After that, I have to rely on Christmas to fill in some of the gaps. I'm hoping for the AT-TE and V-19 from my favorite Mother-in-Law. Some Christmas money can be used to get the Magnaguard. The TX-130 and Droid Gunship should be an affordable splurge. I have no plans to get the Death Star. Just way to far outside my budget. The Twilight is a tad to expensive, too. Wouldn't mind having either, or both, of those sets , though.
July 25, 200816 yr Wow, I must be one of the few here who doesn't memorize set numbers, because I had no idea what you're talking about half the time... you're not alone... But I'm gonna get Death star ( cause we got death star!) And the most depressing of all... rogue shadow, for a big force unleashed bash.
August 3, 200816 yr I was not too much into the newer SW Episodes, just have some small sets. But the new EpI sets were really sweet designed and I guess I will get the N-1 and perhaps Sith Infiltrator when 50% off. Clone Wars? What is that actually? I never heard anything of it and tried to gather some info from the internet (still I cannot say what the difference between the tv show and the movie is about ) BUT I did that not cause I am anyhow interested in Alternate Universe. Not at all. I just buy the rebel speeder and dropship for the minifigs and don't care at all for the vehicles. I DID it cause I thought the CW sets are really really well designed and have really nice features! They are overpriced of course, but I guess I can get them 30% off. I guess I will get the RGS (hopefully some BPs in january, now it would be rather empty) and - don't get mad - the Twilight. The latter is sweet and I love ships with enough room inside, freighters like the Falcon (and this one seems much more stable). You can put stuff and armys and whatever inside and you can PLAY so much better than with a ship that hold just 1 minifig (Rogue Shadow ). I still have no clue how the new ships will get along with my OT-almost-only collection, but they will find a way!
