So the hunch expressed in this thread that it's a set happening because of Matthew Ashton seems to be largely correct.  The conclusions you draw from that, if any, are of course up to you.

@icm: So… what? If I see a set/theme I don’t care about, I don’t buy it, easy as that. I don’t accuse the designer of “abuse of power” every chance I get.

Something tells me we wouldn’t be having this discussion if a designer used their mind-bending powers to release a classic Castle/Space set. In that case, they’d very likely be hailed as a hero by the very same people

@BrickBob Studpants: I'm not accusing anyone of an abuse of power. I was just fact-checking speculation up-thread, the way one fact-checks speculation about the designer or driving mind behind any other set. For instance, I really appreciate knowing who designed a Creator Expert set and who backed it during the design process. No accusation here, just fact-checking.

Prior to this set being revealed, if you Googled “Spice Girls BrickHeadz” the first and ONLY result was my MOC that I made back in 2018 and posted on Reddit.

I should be excited they’re getting an official release but I can’t help thinking someone may have looked online and was “inspired” by my idea.
