Sérgio Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 (edited) Hi! Maybe you expect a Ferrari... Well, close enough My entry for the Festival of Mundanity, hosted by BrickNerd and The Lego Car Blog. Fiat Multipla is probably one of the most atrocious cars ever made, It is ugly and mundane at the same time. I made it in 7wide'ish and actually had fun building it. Hope you don´t like it!The Red Italian - Fiat Multipla by Sérgio Batista, no FlickrThe Red Italian by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr Edited February 17, 2022 by Sérgio Quote
Guyinaplaguemask Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Oh my god, that car is hideous. Your rendition in lego is almost spot on, just as ugly. Interesting car to choose, but looks nice in lego nevertheless. Quote
admiral_typhoon Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Amazing! I don't think anyone has ever made the Multipla in brick before. I always found it odd in a cute way when I was a child. And I have to agree, the design is spot on! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Beautiful recreation of a hideous abomination. I think the Fiat Multipla is uglier than the Pontiac Aztec. Your model captures every detail perfectly. Quote
XG BC Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 looks like a pretty spot on recreation of such an ugly car. Quote
Flossie Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 The Multipla is a piece of design genius that was ahead of its time. Not many cars can seat six and still have luggage space on such a small footprint. With the rear seats out it could transport a standard size pallet. Quote

The problem with car design in recent years is that the majority of car companies are scared to be different. If you took the badges off a great many cars today the average person would not be able to tell you what it was. Quote

LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I hate the shape of this car , but your lego model is a masterpiece! Great work as usual Sérgio! Quote
Flossie Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I've just remembered that Legoland Windsor were at one time sponsored by Fiat and had many different models including the Multipla in Miniland. Quote
brickhead_07 Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Excellent moc of a very iconic (not beautiful) car! Love it! Quote
peedeejay Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 I never would've expected someone to build this hideous car with LEGO bricks. :D You managed to capture it's "shap" perfectly! Quote
Maple Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 (edited) That is the ugliest car I have ever seen and they have made some ugly cars. I actually think the LEGO version is cute in it's own way. It's incredibly different. One of the best MOC cars I have ever seen. But damn the real thing is horrible. Edited March 12, 2022 by Maple Quote
