Scubacarrot Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Jonk does a quick search of the bodies. "What? If we are throwing the bodies down the chute need to make sure we take out any non-recyclables." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 "The system is pretty thorough these days. A combination of substantive degradation spells, mechanical processing, and industrial incineration make sure stuff is disposed of quite effectively. Granted I hear the system and the connected sewers have their issues from time to time, but it's not like anyone goes down there often." Jonk's search of the bodies yield nothing apart from the loot they already acquired. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 "Fancy! Then with that decided, I reckon we are good to go." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 The heroes help move the bodies to the disposal chute and then let Bertram lock the shop up. The group head down Starbright Street before taking the central lifts down to the docking level of the station. Bertram looks over his shoulder continuously, decidedly on edge after the events in the pizzeria. The Blue Moon Warehouses were a long corridor of storage facilities situated on the outer ring of the station's more utilitarian level. The regularly spaced street lamps illuminated everything in a cool light blue sheen that reflected off of the numerous steel and chrome storehouses. Dockworkers and labor automatons hauled crates and barrels along the access tunnels with hand trucks and grav pads, filling the air with the scraping of metal and the continuous drone of reverse beepers. Broken shipping containers and random scatterings of junk and abandoned products lined the egresses between the buildings as Bertram led the heroes past row after row of warehouses. "I followed the goons the day they napped Jippo, I turned back just as they went into this alley up ahead, didn't want to get spotted. They..." The heroes turn into the alley with Bertram. "This doesn't make sense. This is the spot, I'm sure of it. How?" Quote
Duvors Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 "Hush, young man." As Enson spoke, he made his way to the end of the alley. Stopping before a barrel of pickaxes, he examined the parallel vertical grooves in the wall. Quote

Aysu Perception Proficiency Check (DC1, 3) - (4,5,4) 3 Successes Aysu squeezes beside Enson and starts investigating around the same area, but this time starting at the ground. She notes a thin gap between the ground and the wall and identifies the outline of a door concealed in the paneled wall. There is no handle or latch visible. Assessing the remainder of the alley, the markswomen notes that some of the crates and barrels are free from dust and grime, while others look to have not been disturbed or cleaned in quite sometime. As the heroes ponder the order of the buttons Jonk proceeds to knock on the door. Several minutes pass, but no one answers. Coming over to join the Quo'ri, Jonk and Enson put their experienced heads together and then press the buttons under the (o)ars, the (p)ickaxes, the (n)et, and the (e)ggs sequentially. The door outline behind the pickaxes slides open with a satisfying click allowing the heroes to enter. Also, that Spider Bomb should be in Billeck's inventory. Enson looked around the room with an expression of mild disgust. He'd never been a stickler for proper burials - a corpse was just matter after all - but this detached, possessive attitude towards death rankled with him. Gliding across the floor, he leaned over the body of the Quo'ri, trying to see who they were. "I don't think any of these are Jippo, Jonk." he said, "If they were, I'd expect them to be less desiccated." Quote
