I think the Light Side is missing 15 exp from the Hyperdrive contest. 15 went into P7 and 15 into Q6. Could you please look into this? EDIT: I just reread the rules and all 30 points should be allocated to Q6!
May 6, 2024May 6 Author In case you didn't see already, any entry for May the 4th can be entered here for Mysteries for x2 points. You can't stack bonuses between the Droid episode and M4, so just build separate builds for each
May 10, 2024May 10 Hello there, I'm trying to get started, but not sure if my understanding ist correct. The current map features a handful of colored squares. Dumb question maybe, but is there a legend or something available what the colors stand for? I think red is Imperial territory, but the others? If I'm not wrong, on the Light Side I could choose any planet for my build, that is either in a sector controlled by my faction or in its direct neighbourhood? Or I can go for a planet on a hyperlane connecting to a controlled sector, right? How about planets that are not fulfilling these conditions, but are related to "my" story? How about inventing planets in specific sectors ? Last but not least, where do I post the beginning of "my story"? Do I open a new thread in the forum? Best Sentinel_Brix

Correct 19 minutes ago, Sentinel_Brix said: How about planets that are not fulfilling these conditions, but are related to "my" story? How about inventing planets in specific sectors ? I think you can still build there but would not get any points. Information about most planets is rather sparse (in wookieepedia/jedipedia) and you could choose such a planet to place your moc in a sector that the faction has access to. Unless it is about the name of the planet that you want to mention in your story. 19 minutes ago, Sentinel_Brix said: Last but not least, where do I post the beginning of "my story"? Do I open a new thread in the forum? Yes, you create a new thread for every moc. Put the grid sector and an Light Side abbreviation in brackets in front of the title of your moc. Don't forget to fill out the submission for for every moc. You'll find the link in the opening post. Example for naming convention: [P7 - LS] Moc Title  EDIT: Ha! Thaum was a little bit faster

But inventing details for planets is totally fine. For example, if you want to build on Endor but don't have access you could take another planet that your team can access that doesn't have any details and make it look like Endor. It's all in the storytelling. 10 hours ago, Yperio_Bricks said: The team leaders board can be updated @MKJoshAÂ could you please look into the points tally of sector Q6. The 15 prize points are missing for the Light Side. Sorry about the delay. I was waiting for Jody to answer with the details for the Mercs for that contest. I try to do all 3 teams bonus entries at once. But I put the Light and Dark sides through so it should show now.
May 11, 2024May 11 Hello @MKJoshA, Thanks for all the clarification. There is still one thing I'm not sure about. The galaxy features billions of star systems, where the map is showing just "a few" of them. For example, if I'm going to build in K21, there are only 2 worlds mapped, but probably a 1000 others inhabitable in that square. Baseline: Can I invent a planet and place it into a specific square? Or does that contradict the rules aka no points? Best Regards

Just avoid to break some consensus like describe that the planet in fact houses the most powerful force nexus in the galaxy or the Star Forge... If the planet is "standard" then it will fit Â

However, there are many existing planets and as we update the rules it'll be easier if you try to use existing ones. You can use a few tools like this Star Wars galaxy map. If you tool it to include the Grid you'll see a map like ours. You can also search on Wookiepedia for specific planets and going from there to see if you find any ones that might work in the same sector or system. Lastly, if you download our current version of the map you can zoom really far in. That'll show you most if not all current planets in a grid. K21 is off the beaten path so there really are only 2 known planets there.
May 11, 2024May 11 Thanks, both of you. Trust me, I'm very careful in any of my Star Wars stories so they don't violate any canonical storylines. It will be very down-to-earth and low impact. Here, I will only make up planets if deemed absolutely necessary.
May 11, 2024May 11 Sorry, just another question. How can I include images into a post? It says, I can only upload 40KB. That's really small... is there something I'm missing?

Then add the link to the image to the forum post and it should be shown automatically.

May 12, 2024May 12 Author The Google Sheet has been updated with results from Ep 4. There are still a few freebuilds that we need to score before those show up. Congrats to the Dark Side and Mercs for taking some new territory. I'll get the map updated with colors soon.

And the 15+15 points from the contest went to Q6, but there are only 15 points in the sector? Not a pain at all. You actually found an error in my spreadsheet! There's supposed to be a check for whether scores have been posted or not and it's not functioning correctly. So you're see prelim numbers for this freebuild counted in the totals right now. I'll work on fixing that. As for the points for Q6: On 1/5/2024 at 1:38 PM, MKJoshA said: Contest Specifics: Each team will pick a starting point from a square they already control. The Dark Side can pick from O17, L10, M10, or N10. The Light Side can pick from P6 or H16. The Mercs can pick from T10, S10 or K5. Each team should post here which square they want to pick as their starting point by Jan 15th. At the end of the challenge, using a random number generator, a route will be chosen and an end point 2 jumps from the starting square. Please consult the map for strategic reference. For example, if the Mercs choose K5 as their starting point it could be that the starting point would be Borosk and two jumps from there could be Qiilura in K7. Or if the Dark Side chose M10 as their starting point it could be that Kattada would be the starting point and two jumps from there could be Quellor in N12. So 15 points got randomly assigned to Q6 at the end of the contest:  On 4/9/2024 at 6:43 PM, MKJoshA said: The Light Side, leaving from Phindar in P6, passed through Lucrazec and ended up in Arda in Q6. Their points will be placed in Q6. And then: On 1/5/2024 at 1:38 PM, MKJoshA said: The Prizes:  At the end of the contest an end point will be chosen for each team. All MOCs entered for this contest will be assigned this square for XP. The team with the most points will gain an extra 25 XP to be placed where they choose. Second place will get 15 XP and 3rd place will get 10 XP. All extra XP should be placed within 2 weeks of the contest ending. You chose to put the other 15 points in P7. Does that help?

Can I always apply for the CorSec bonus? Or if I choose to include the very same starfighter in many builds, can I apply for the +5 bonus multiple times as well or does it need to be a new, unique ship? The same question holds for the bonuses of the other factions.

The same question holds for the bonuses of the other factions. Good question. First, you can only apply for bonuses from your team. It's more clear on the webfrom. Characters used multiple times can count each time. If your CorSec characters are in a build you can always apply for the CorSec bonus. The bonuses will change over time but as long as it's there you can use it. Builds like ships are different. It has to be a unique MOC each time to count.
