After a lot of hours thinking, that is my progress so far... I decided to do an underground dumper, I always wanted to build this kind of machinery and its features are perfect for the contest because they are very narrow and low machines so I will have enough length for a reasonable dumper. It is not a very original idea and I suppose that there will be more kind of dumper machines, even underground ones, so I do not pretend to reserve the idea in fact I wish there will be more like this. My first thought is not to use motors because Lego wouldn´t do it in a small set with more than 2 functions. For those who do not know this type of machines I will try to do something similar to the pics.

And this is my physical progress so far, for the moment it is only to see the space I will have for everything... the measures in the pics are 14,5x 13x 50 that give me 9425... I can not put even mirrors... It looks like this machine is calling for pneumatics...

Hey Jorge,
As per rules, we need to have some actual building progress, made with bricks.
So, if you have it, please update the first post, and if not, let me know, so I can hide the topic until you make some.
Thanks.
Edit: solved. Good luck.

Looking forward to this :-)

Are you planning to cover everything up with panels or make a more basic, skeletal version?

My style is always minimalistic but fully functional so the bed will be covered for sure. My headache now is doing a ejector bed or not, what version would be less complicated?.

Finally somethig that I am starting to like... and it was not my first try neither the fifth... I already have a strong chassis, a six inline fake engine cylinder connected to two differentials, a front pivot suspension and a articulated steering thanks to worm gear or mini linear actuator I am on it right now... I will need a black rims that will make the wheels bigger and then I will start with the bed and pneumatics. Right now I am under the 15x13x51 that would need so I can play with the measures to fit things better.

Looking rock solid so far!

I think in this scale, the steering doesn't need a wormgear or small LA, a small reduction with friction pins should be enough ;-)

Maybe you are right, I usually do first the most difficult option and then I start to see easier choices... but I also wanted the steering above the cabin and this way It is easier to get It.

While I fight against the bed I redesigned the rear part... same size with less pieces and stronger, what I always looking for.

These new frames are really change the building style.

I suppose that they will be perfect for trucks.

And to expensive. Great idea Jorge ( @jorgeopesi ). Looking forward to see your version for this content.

But you can create them while you do not have the real ones, right?.

Well like my money for lego is only dedicated to the new pieces I could not consider them expensive.

I like nothing but the pneumatic stuff and the size... I also think that a black rims would do the tyres look bigger, we have 51x15x13 inside the red frame.

Indeed black wheels would look better. Somehow I saw better (ore more smooth) bed solutions from you in the past...

You are right... I am sure that it will not be the last bed I do for this MOC...

Cheer up Jorge,The project is going well.

What tires are these? Seems I have a hole in my colection...

Looking good thus far. Very interested to see how you will implement the pump and levers for the pneumatics.

They are from the 76139 batmobil, when I saw I knew they will be good for trucks.

More stuff... I want the steering above the cabin and something to turn in the middle to operate the bed. My first idea was to use a normal pump but now I am thinking about using a custom pump mixed with the bodywok, so if I am able to do a decent bodywork and bed we would have, 2 diffs, 6 cylinders inline engine, front oscillating suspension, articulated steering, pneumatic bed and maybe openable door and hood...

I am not be able to do a decent bodywork yet so I changed the front suspension to the center, in the articulated steering, now I have more room in the front part for not to be able to do a decent bodywork again :cry_sad: . The system right now is like in the caterpillar dumpers but it can change again...

I forget to put pics :look: .

I discarted at first because I thought it would be a weak point but it is stronger that I thought.

As usually I am compicated myself more and more... instead of doing a nice bodywork... I did the suspension change... now I achieved to use the small linear actuator to have a better and strong steering and when everything was working good I thought... why not a working steering wheel inside the cabin...

Thank you searching problems is my second name...

To want aesthetic, strong and playable beds is hard but I think I am getting, but loosing more than a couple of days...

I may not be able to finish it but at least I will have learned a lot... I have problems with the mudguards and front bumpers and I still have to do the pump and switch pneumatic parts, but I have room enough...
