Thoughts?

Don't think there will be more (any) response here in this thread compared to the same in Technic,

So that's a full yes from me!

A year ago when I posted my 6DoF projects here there was a little response, but now it's going sub-zero. Mainly the reason I posted some finished projects directly in Technic (illegally before) to atleast have some response.

Same with Mr Jos, this move is a big YES from me too!   The projects being shared on the Mindstorms forum would sure offer some value to Technic forum readers and contributors too, I think.  

Maybe a contest that require a Mindstorms hub (old and new) would be a nice "welcome back to Technic forum" idea 

Yes. There are too few differences between Technic and MS to make a difference to my mind.

I don't understand why there are so many forums anyway, some with many subjects within them. Why not one forum with subjects selected on tabs?
