Ctan Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) Hi, Contests are a great opportunity to finally build something :) I wanted to make an tracked vechicle so I did. It's mostly done because my kid didn't have such device for transporting stuff aroud his room. It's very tightly packed and rather rigid. For sure I'll do next iteration to make the structure kids proof. Functions: - steering 2x PF L motor (no subtractor, not enough space) - tipping 1x PF L motor, 2 small LA - tracks tensioners dimensions: height 17, length 30, width 19 = 9 690 Soon I'll take better pictures. Please let me know what you think guys! Thanks in advance Edited June 1, 2022 by Ctan Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 That tailgate is genius! Brilliant work. Quote
Philtech Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Cool, that looks great. It seems to work very good and smooth, especially the tailgate. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 It is not the only good think but the tailgate is hypnotic. Quote
SaperPL Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Really cool - awesome presentation on damping and tailgate. I feel like the proportions between the tracks and what is on them feels off, like it's a sci-fi space vehicle rather than something made here on earth, but it feels like an old-school Technic set that way - I would suggest stealing some ideas for the cab from 8462 or Samolot's recreation of it for TC20. Just out of curiosity - did you try making the bed lift with mechanical advantage in mind? I think it may not lift much weight (but I done the same a lot). Quote
Ctan Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 Damn, I think I'm late to the party... I wish I have a bit more time earlier. But all in all I'm pretty satisfied with the build :) Quote
Jundis Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) This thing is an absolut blast of a MOC! Can't mention all the details here and there, because there are so much! Are the single axle connectors with a C-clamp original? I've never seen them ... Edit: I now wish for a TC about the theme "Make a MOC of a vehicle from the future" Edited June 1, 2022 by Jundis Quote

Ctan Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) Hi, sorry for late replies but I really didn't have too much time recently. I always wanted to build something like this, so my kid wouldn't scatter all the stuff from bed on the flor. Thank you! :) I have scifi truck in mind from the beggining of the project, because I like space theme. I have used your idea with the flex axle, it work pretty cool! Bed itself did not pull too much because of almost horizontal LA position at the start. But hey, it's only for transporting bricks, it can lift whole bed. 2 hours ago, Jundis said: Are the single axle connectors with a C-clamp original? I've never seen them ... I think you have seen them lot of times, but rather not in this context. They are pneumatic hose connectors :) I'm glad you like it, thank you for feedback! Edited June 1, 2022 by Ctan Quote
