Siegfried Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Your title makes it look like Hinckley approves the site when he just approved the topic! Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 You wanna bet? *Gets out Cyclone Staff, before he realize's that walruses have so much blubber that they can stay on land during any wind related diasaster* No offense Sinner, just a joke. Quote
VBBN Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Whoops, I meant to say Topic approved by Hinckley... Quote
Tarfful Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Sounds fun, although I'm probably active on too many forums as it is. Tarfful, who is seriously considering joining. (That is if you will allow a "Eternal n00b" to join your ranks. ) Edited June 28, 2008 by Tarfful Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Erm, no offense, but I'd suggest raising the age limit to 12... If not 13. Mesa takin' a looksee... Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Technically, i'm 11, and i've known LT for a year and a half now, so raising the age limit could be a problem. CT Quote
Alice Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I think it's a positive idea for a site for younger fans of Lego since most sites are devoted to AFOLs or TFOLs and there is some conflict sometimes in the age difference when the younger fans join the forums and start posting (no offense to our younger members, of course). I'm far too old to join but it looks like it is a cool site for you guys who fall into the age range of 10-15 years old. Quote
iamded Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Who's Lord Trionx? Anyway, this looks pretty cool, similar to the forums my friends and I made, which only attracted a spammer who would eventually ruin the entire thing. I hope that's not the fate of your forum. Look after it, make sure to block out unwanted spammers! ~Peace Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Yes, it is a bit old for older fans, I mean, by no means does that mean they can't join, just if adults can go for a week without swearing(I'm kidding, everyone can ). But we can't have kids going to their dads and saying, "Can I have a beer?" At which point the dad will be appauled and stare at him blankly. But TFOL's are certainly welcome and AFOL's if they wish to can join. CT EDIT: Iamded, LT is Darth Bionics under a different alias. Edited June 28, 2008 by Cyclone Titan Quote
Trionx Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 trooperdavinfelth- I considered it, but I thought it would be better if the site was welcoming to all ages. :) Alice- That was one of the reasons I made this forum, it seemed that younger members were being forced to BZpower or the Lego.com forums. Just a note to you all that even though it's aimed for 10-15, anyone can join. :) (Thanks to VBBN for post this topic BTW! ) Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Well, if we wait until your 12... Yeah, maybe when i'm 12, but that won't be until next May 18th. CT Edited June 28, 2008 by Cyclone Titan Quote
Matn Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Well, I wish the admins succes! But the layout is too dark, (my thoughts): there is nothing LEGO-ish at it? Maybe the banner could contain LEGO figures? I did the same with my site and forum (check it in my signature and then click on the 'FORUM' picture). Younger kids aren't allowed here (when they are pretty anoying and if they don't understand anything ), so it will be a good alternative. Good luck! Quote
