Oh man I am really excited about this.  Perhaps I will buy two and build the different variants to place on the new bridge I built over the entry into my Lego room.  Like I did with the Mustang (including Firas' model).

Different takes I guess.  Per first glance, this is on par with 10265 to me.

Not even close to 10265 for me: printed rear lights and a-pillars instead of brick-built ones, boxy roof section and sideline between doors and rear end, boring colour-scheme... But I guess many aspects depend on personal preference.

To be sure.  Not to mention different interpretations of these aspects.  I agree that color scheme is among my top priorities, but I rather enjoy 10304's color scheme.  Or shall I say schemes.... I am not much for vibrant color in my cars.... period.  I like the black and grays with just a hint of color.  I am in the process of ordering my own MB CLA 45 AMG, and though it comes in some vibrant colors I am ordering it in matte gray....

Not bad, but compared to the 10265 Mustang it is at least one step backward. I own and love the Mustang. So no need to buy the Camaro.

I own and love the Mustang as well, but I have to recognize that I'm biased. I have a '66 in real life, so I can't count on myself to have an objective opinion.

Did anyone notice that this Camaro comes with some different trim options? In that lineup of 3 cars, the one with red stripes has the hideaway headlights. That's a really nice touch.

I just found another cool detail. It looks like, at least on the two hardtops, that it has fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror. Pretty fun.

I really like the Camaro! Big fan of the multiple stripes and customization options.

That road looks awesome!

I really like the model! The black with white stripes is a classic combination  for me. I've pointed out on other parts of the interwebs that I'm not a fan of the new single purpose wheel arch parts. They really stand out to me as an easy fix and not at all neccesary. I'm interested to see if the Delorean/Mustang way of building the wheel arches is an option for this one. I just like brick built solutions opposed to single purpose piece fixes. Plus, the wheel arches do not look like they are fitting in particular part family per se.

Yes, I'm well aware that the Delorean/Mustang way of building the wheel arches this time around would have been called out for not beeing innovative. Surely there is another way to make it work using currently available bricks?

Yeah, i think they are attached with a 1x1 round tile with bar, and the dice are square 1x1x2/3 parts

It also has a different mirror, you place on the windscreen, when you take the roof of

Looks nice in the stock photos, but the black box really doesn't do it any favours. Love the Model Team hot rod magazine on the back seat.

Love the fact that it's black.
Once again hate too many stickers - do I really have to put P51AK3 NEW YORK plates (& other ones from Porsche set) on every big car (even for Ecto)?
Custom fenders - kinda looks like upscaled Speed Champions fenders.

It looks good, as it gives some finer detail to the fender lip, but it'd be better if they were more rounded, instead of flattened out at the top. At least, for a Camaro.

Camaro from 1969 had that top fenders flattened (unless I misunderstood you?)

You’re exactly right about that. If there’s any misunderstanding it’s because I didn’t go into detail on my own convoluted thought process, lol.

The shape of the wheel opening on a 69 is indeed flattened at the top, but it’s also an integral part of some finely detailed body lines. Understandably not represented at this scale. Paired with the absence of the “gills” in front of the rear wheel, it’s easier for me to view it as a 68 with rounder wheel openings.

Plus, very selfishly, I would love a rounder new fender piece in dark blue to retrofit on the 67 Mustang. Fun to daydream about.

Totally get this feeling as I wish they would make variant of 35789 part that's flattened on top so I could use it in my 8-wide collection (In theory we have 28326 but it's too wide).

They are in fact better:

Forgive me for quoting you again but now that I've build it I also need rounder one - to make it even worse I need two rounder and two just introduced (80567) in the same color.

Yup, I bet there was a long discussion at TLG about which was the best direction to go with there.

Has anyone seen the Gorillaz music video for Stylo? :snicker:
The vehicle is also a Chevrolet Camaro but rather an SS than a Z28 with a white roof.

Cool video. Not sure how I missed that one but I dig it. Sweet El Camino too.

What I don't understand, is now on earth the 1x1 round plates are staying inside of the wheels, I have 5 of those rims in black, light bluish gray, and white, and the connection is very unstable when I push a silver 1x1 round plate inside of the recess of the wheels centre hole.

Maybe its a new mold or maybe the wheels extra silver coating is making the hole a hair smaller which is holding the place 1x2 in  place better.

My guess would be the silver coating.

I have the set, but not yet built, so still yet to find out in person...
