For me, it is not only another level - this was built in another universe.

Completely unbelievable.

The video is also excellent ... Wow.

Just when you think Akiyuky could not possibly outdo himself again...

A bit of a pity the hour hand is not somehow mechanically actuated by the minute hand. (But I've no idea how).

Maybe add 12 pins to the circular gear rack the hour hand is attached to and another lever, actuated by minute hand, that advances the rack by 1 pin? I agree that would be neat but regardless, this is a masterpiece.

I agree completely that it is a masterpiece!

Perhaps one position on the minute ring could have a lever that gets "pushed through" by the seconds pusher, and pushes another lever similar to the minutes-advancing one?  (No need to "reinvent the wheel", perhaps? :) )

Hi everybody! When I saw this thing a while ago on youtube it raised so much questions I just needed to see for myself, so I decided to try and build one :D  Most mind blowing build I've ever done and probably will ever do. And all my other Lego builds seem insignificant now lol. Thanks Akiyuki for creating this and sharing your detailed video!  Aside from color I tried to keep it as original as possible as far as I could see in the video. But I did redesign the foot of the stand, as it was kinda flexible and leaning forwards, and I reinforced the top of the stand a little so I can grab it without worrying too much. Thanks for looking :)

Super! It is nice to see that somebody was able to recreate this Akiyuki's masterpiece.

I would appreciate some more detailed photos.

wow, amazing work! I second the call for more pictures.  How many parts are in there, approximately?

I missed this originally, so thanks also for bringing it back in the spotlight!

@bricklets

Do you have any desire to post more pictures or did you happen to make a digital file as you went along?  Would love to get instructions for this and it wouldn't exactly be the first time we have reverse engineered from Akiyuki ;)
