I would like to introduce my latest project Mini Formula Racer.

I usually make alternative models from the official sets from technic series, but due to the fact that this year TLG has released a tragic package of models for me with reduced functions and strange mixing of incompatible colors in one set, I have plans preparing more no-alternate MOCs. Here's the first one: small formula racer, initially based on old set 8808 but I changed it so much that it's not a studless version of official set. Features working steering wheel, working V6 engine, adjustable mirrors and rear spoiler (DRS), rear diffuser. In this model I didn't add system halo because it looks bad on this scale, also there is not enough space for the differential (the engine is driven by one wheel).

Some comparision with 8808 set (built in a different color than the original, yellow color sheme)

Great Formula Racer! I like the fake engine.

Thank you.

Nice, haven't seen 85x85p.jpg and 85x85p.jpg used in a long time! :pir-huzzah2:

Thank you. IMO much better solution for steering with these elements than 48989 parts used with official models. I wonder why TLG no longer uses it in new small sets.

Nice little race. Best of all - functional.

Thanks. It was not easy to put engine into such a small space.

This part breaks easily when children put weight on the vehicle while playing.

Now it makes sense to stop using this element. Thanks for the explanation.

But who'd let their kids play with their Lego?! So irresponsible....

Very cool concrete mixer and forklift. Small, beautiful, functional, nothing unnecessary. I even regret that I don't have these new micro-panels yet.
Very good work. Go on!

Really good for the scale.

Sorry I missed your comment earlier so thank you now for feedback. After all, better late than never.

Thanks. These new micropanels introduced this year really make designing easier and improve the look of smaller vehicles. I'm waiting for more panels in other colors.
