Cyclone Titan Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Kingdom Hearts II-When Roxas reawakens Sora and says "Well, I guess this is my last summer vacation." And then he goes into the light. I cried a lot when that happened. The sad music and that fact I was 9 when the game came out didn't help either. You might think that I'm a sissy, but if you saw that scene... Twilight Princess(Wii)-When I beat that last huge ugly jumble of a Twilight Insect. Guitar hero 3(Wii)-When I finally learned to use that guitar, without sucking, and actually beating 'Through the fire and flames' on easy. Yeah, its that tough. CT Quote
Hinckley Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I love when Video Games surprise me, so that's where my most memorable moments come from: Silent Hill-the stabbing zombie midget and the phantom phone in the same room-there was a thunderstorm breaking when I first got into this room in the evil school. It altogether freaked my balls. Resident Evil-the first time the mutant monsters (not the zombies) come out of the undeground lab and agent the agent in the house-the game cuts away to an animation-the camera angle is a first person journey from where you just came from to just about where you ended up, whatever the first person is-it's very fast and growling and making sever non-human sounds. Golden Eye-getting across the dam in the first level, removing the guards from the tower and bungee jumping off the dam. One of the best first person games ever! This first level is pretty freaky when you are tryin to get acclamated to how many different places people who want to kill you can be hiding... As you might gather from my list, I haven't played video games for a very very long time...well, I did play Guitar Hero in Sweden... Quote
Millacol88 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Cool Idea for a topic. Mine are: 3.When I first beat Pokemon:yellow version(my first game) 2.The Ship-boarding operation in Call of Duty Four (First Level) 1.When the Nuclear Bomb goes off in Call of Duty four. Yes, I like Cod 4. Quote
Infomaniac Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Beating Lego island Beating Lego island 2 Beating Lego Racers Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 1. Call of Duty 2: When I joined a deathmatch game online with 10 minutes to go when the leader had 20-25 kills (I had a lot of catching up to do) and I ended up winning the match with 36 kills and only 1 death 2. Beating Lego racers!! 3. Playing COD 2 in general really. Especially when I had played it for a while and an influx of n00bs started playing, they made easy prey! Quote
JimBee Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 1. Receiving my N64 and Super Mario 64. 2. Playing the original Super Smash Bros. with my friends in 1999. 3. Playing Guitar Hero with a family of 9 kids that are close to me. I also enjoyed the two-and-a half years waiting for Brawl to come out. Quote
AgentRick Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 Yeah, Waiting for Brawl seemed better than Playing it at some points . Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 (edited) In no particular order: 1. Beating the pokemon league on pearl 2. Watch Griggs, Gaz and Captin Price (mabye, not really said) die, on call of duty 4 3. Watching brother Martin (in the form of Talos) and Dagon battle it out at the end of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Edited September 6, 2008 by professor flitwick Quote
Privateer Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 In Riven: The Sequel to Myst, the two most memorable parts were when I finally reached Tay, the Rebel Age, and then when you get the fire marbles in the correct positions, and it works. The sense of accomplishment and anticipation of what is to come is very exciting. Quote
JimBee Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 1. Beating the pokemon league on pearl Ah, I remember that glorious moment when I beat the League in Silver... good times, good times. I also beat it many times after, using the cloning cheat. Justin2224 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 1. KotOR: Discovering I was Revan. It was my biggest surprise in Video Game history. 2. Halo 3:The entire game. But my favorite part was probably the level The Covenant. It was the longest and most fun level in the entire game. I love the opportunity to use any vehical in the game on this level. Great game. 3. Halo: Combat Evolved: The last level, the Maw. The entire level is great but I really loved the Warthog Run. That was my fovorite vehical in that game, and the whole crushing the Flood and Covenant. Too bad you couldn't use that Lonsword. That would've that number one. Quote
Privateer Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I played Myst a few years ago, but it made no sense at all. I would encourage you to revisit Myst and give it another try. Just let yourself get lost in the world; it's really a rewarding experience. The Myst series of games is not like other typical games that can be won in a just a few days. It requires great investments of your time and attention. At first, exploration is the most important part of the game. As you do so, things will slowly become clearer and make more sense. It's also best to avoid online cheats and walk-throughs; while they can relieve some frustration, they can also ruin the experience. So I say, give it another shot! Quote

Mofo Jones Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 1. Ok, this one is really old, but when I was 12 waaaay back in 1984, walked into the local arcade and saw Atari's Star Wars (the vector graphic game). Then, a few quarters later, I blew up the Death Star. I was a happy child that day. 2. Beating the huge robot in level 7 of the original Descent. Yes, the one that has the cloak and "one shot, one kill" type missiles. Those of you who have tried it will understand. 3. This one also goes way back - getting 10,000 points on Kaboom! for the Atari 2600. This paused the game briefly and the mad bomber looked quite impressed in all of his 4 bit glory. Then, the bombs started falling again... I guessed the twist in KOTOR (don't ask me how) and then when it turned out I was right, I was a little disappointed. Still, one of the best games I've ever played. But, guessing correctly keeps it out of the top 3. Quote
Dfenz Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 The first, second and third times I won at strip poker on my old Sinclair Spectrum computer - with its massive 48k memory for those people too young to appreciate the joy of cassette tape loading games and rubbery keyboards. David Quote

JimBee Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I also enjoyed playing GBA's Lunar Legend. Great game, I remember always playing it when I went up north in August every year... Unfortunately, I think I lost it... Quote
