Hinckley Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Well I am the one who stupidly mentioned nudity... :-$ And of course, I ran with it. Shees. Sinner, you're an enabler! :-P Well, I'm starting to feel like the off-topic king so I'll try to get us back on track. I found the pics and the clip. So without further ado here are more pics of me lying acting: This is one of those humiliating shots from a great Christmas show I did this year. This was one of my favorite shows. I played a guy who was extremely dense but also vain and obsessed with the sound of his own voice. The costumes, which were way too tight as you can tell, were a take-off on the Sound of Music. In our show the woman we worked for made us costumes real quick out of the set's curtains. I wish I had the rest of the production shots, because we had some hilarious costumes, but the shots are not in yet...I'm second from the left: This is the most recent big role I played, Mendel in Fiddler on the Roof. I'm the one on the right, with a beard! :-P : And a clip of my song in a concert version of Company. I played Peter. It's ninety-five degrees and the mics were directional so if I seem a little stiff that's why. I'm the guy singing when the clip starts: Me as Peter in Company It's a huge file so be patient. It's worth it to see me! X-D I have another pic I will find and it's the ultimate and I'm so mad I can't find it. But when I do, you'll know... Enjoy. Hopefully you get a good laugh too. I'm a shameless freak! Quote
Stauder Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 So your a stage actor? I can hosnesty say I do enyoy the drama group @ school myself.... *y* Quote
Hinckley Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 So your a stage actor? I can hosnesty say I do enyoy the drama group @ school myself.... *y* Yes. I have a tiny little film career budding. Local commercials and corporate industrial films. I did an army base PSA the other day, where I played a PFC playing that sumo wrestling game with the air filled costumes. I've done a lot of extra work in Chicago film and TV, and some student films. But mostly theater. That's where I pull in the biggest contracts right now. I hope to do film or TV some day, but I am happy performing no matter where it is. Well, I guess I wouldn't want to perform in the subway, but that does pay :-/ ...I'll let you know when I get something national... Yeah, it's funny, I didn't start acting until I got to college. It's been a very interesting life choice I made... Quote
Clonie Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I find it funny how much you look like my cousin. X-D Quote
Stauder Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Since were on about, theater, Ill show you our Drama Group's HQ, Its at my school, and the place where I mostly hang out. A Map... Quote
Brainbox Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 So your a stage actor? I can hosnesty say I do enyoy the drama group @ school myself.... *y* I did the lights for our school productions, and now I'm helping with an amateur panto starring people from school, but it's not related to school. If that makes sense? I know it's not acting, but if anything, I have more power than the actors. I can plunge the show into darkness at any minute, so don't upset me! :-D Quote

He swore at just bout everyone at one time or a nother... And he hit me with a broomstick... :-/ Quote

He swore at just bout everyone at one time or a nother... And he hit me with a broomstick... :-/ We lost a broomstick/Wizard's staff during our school production of The Tempest. Everyone was running round backstage (during the performance) trying to fing it, until it turned up in the universal dumping ground... the power box for all the stage lights. It was funny afterwards... but not so much during the play. Quote
Corvus Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Here I am with an American Kestrel named Bobbit. This picture is old, and I'm squinting into the sun, but this is the only pic I could find with me holding a bird. He got his name becuase he has a habit of rapidly bobbing his head and tail up and down, hence 'Bobbit'. He came to the museum becuase he has a broken wing--all our birds are either injured or imprinted (raised in captivity, and can't go back to the wild)- And since bird's bones are hollow, and made of a complex honeycomb structure, he can never fly again. However, that is no reason to euthanize him, becuase he's much better with us than he is dead, or back in the wild, which leads to death. He is seventeen years old now, too- That's a record for the longest living American Kestrel in captivity. Three cheers for Bobbit! Quote
Norrington Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 On one condition: please stop lecturing me and making these faces *sad* |-/ whenever I post things about underwear, boobs, wieners, fornicating, nudity in general, poddy humor, sophmoric pranks or more fornicating. Deal? :-$Eh, maybe *sad* |-/ X-D The hat makes you look Amish, which gets me thinkin', why the hell are you wearing buttons! :-P The man on the left looks like Moses... Quote

I think it's great that you take care of the birds who need help. Your post made me smile. Thanks. Quote
Corvus Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 That's very kind of you, Hinckley. I've heard a bit too many people who think that the birds should be put back into the wild, even though they're injured. I've even heard people who think that they should be euthanized... It leads to the same thing, however. *sad* Quote

It leads to the same thing, however. *sad* I saw an eagle sanctuary in Alaska. They had just brought in a young eagle with two broken wings and I :'-( It was really beautiful to see how caring people can be for other creatures. It sure beats those pics I saw in National Geographic about the seal hunters. That made me :'-( too. It breaks my heart to see animals afraid, even worse to see them suffer. Geez, I'm getting choked up again. Well, Mr. Mandalorian if no one's told you lately that they appreciate what you do, let me. I appreciate what you do for those birds... *wub* The hat makes you look Amish, which gets me thinkin', why the hell are you wearing buttons! :-P The man on the left looks like Moses... BTW, Norrington: Fiddler on the Roof is a show about Jewish people. The man on the left is a rabbi, they are not allowed to cut their beards...Jewish people believe in buttons but not hell... Quote
Wout Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I also appreciate what you do for that birds, Mr Mandalorien. I understand people want wild animals put back in nature but sometimes it's better to have them in a sanctuary. saving wildlife on Quote
Corvus Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 It makes sense to want them back in nature- that's where they're supposed to be, but it doesn't make sense to want them to go back to nature when it would kill them. :'-( I saw an eagle sanctuary in Alaska. They had just brought in a young eagle with two broken wings It sure beats those pics I saw in National Geographic about the seal hunters. That reminds me- we have an eagle from Alaska. Her name is Charisma, and she has a broken wing. We also have a male from Florida (also with a broken wing), and the size difference is quite funny. Females are usually much bigger than males, and there is also a size difference in their territory- Alaska eagles are bigger than ones in other parts of the country. As a result, Charisma weighs about twice as much as Kokanee. Visitors always think think that she is the male. They are on exhibit, it's really nice to see the size difference. This is making me want to post pics... That reminds me- During our trip to Alaska, we spotted a juvenile Stellar Sea Eagle! They're listed as threatened, and to top it off they live on the shores of Russia... A few have migrated to Alaska... fewer than ten, I think. 8- Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Hello Mandalorian. If you have pictures of the Sea Eagle you saw, I would enjoy it if you posted them. :-) Quote
Hinckley Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Post pics of your birds here. And while you're at it take a look at the last couple of pages, you will see pictures of my doggies *wub* By the way, I recently cut meat out of my diet by 80% because I met a cow. I have never been a bleeding heart but the cow mooed for me when I left and I said, what's her problem? And my friend said "She doesn't like when people leave" And they're going to eat her!!! I've always been a meat and potatoes man, I love steak but the cow was nice to me... :'-( I don't want to eat it now. I won't call myself a vegetarian as I still plan to eat meat, but instead of eating meat twice a day seven days a week. I will try to only eat it one meal one or two days a week. I try to keep my body sculpted because of my Napoleon complex so I know a lot about nutrition and how to get protein and amino acids from supplements. Imagine that, I'm off topic... Thanks again for sharing your pics, I hope to see more in the pet thread! :-) Quote
Corvus Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Whoops- It's the High Desert Museum's eagles. It would be nice to have them as pets though. However, my Cockatiel would probably drive them out... :-D He thinks he's bigger than he is... Darn, I just realized I have few pictures of him. |-/ I'll make a seperate topic about the Stellar, though, As I have a lot of pictures and it's pretty big news. And he/she (think it's a he) lives right next to our camp! :'-) Quote
