Sérgio Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 CP Comboios de Portugal bought some old coaches to RENFE am then they refurbished them. They are not in commercial service yet, still doing some homologation tests, however, I like the color scheme they did, so I try to recreate them in Lego. 1 first class(blue), plus 2 second class(red) coaches with: neodymium magnets (not LEGO) each coach has around 1KG, so, no interior 8Wide 60cm long working tail lights (not LEGO) bearings (not LEGO) they can take only r104 (or more) curves around 1500 parts each custom vinyl decals PS: The locomotive will have his own topic later :) CP Arco (ex-Renfe) 2Classe - 1:45 Scale by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr CP - Arco (ex-Renfe) by Sérgio Batista, no FlickrCP Arco (ex-Renfe) 1 Classe - 1:45 scale by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr CP Arco 1:45 Scale by Sérgio Batista, no FlickrIMG-20220605-WA0006 by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr Quote
Moz Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) Wow, that's a seriously impressive level of detail. Those bogies! And the door details! Edited June 22, 2022 by Moz Quote
LEGOTrainBuilderSG Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I've said it before and I'll say it again. Phenomenal coach Sergio! Brilliant design all around. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Exceptional work recreating these coaches. The teaser on how you accomplished the chevrons is mind boggling. The bogies are great as others mentioned, and the ends are wonderful. Another perfect MOC. Quote
bogieman Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I'm in total agreement with the other comments. The first thing I noticed was the detail on the bogies and then the brick-built paint job. Quote
dtomsen Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Already admired the wagons on flickr but they still deserve a huge here (!) Quote
JopieK Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 @Sérgio one needs to look cerefully to see if it Is the real deal or your LEGO variety (the tracks give it away but apart from that...). Nice addition for the already great locomotive! Quote
EWay Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Beautiful carriages @Sérgio, love the brick built colour scheme and the curvature of the roof! I'd love to see more of what's going on behind the scenes with those 3L bar connections, but understandable if you want to keep an air of mystery about it of course too :) Very much looking forward to the post about the loco too. Ropefish Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Such a crazy connection for the brick built pattern! Quote
ivanlan9 Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Oh, stop it, Sergio. Just stop. You're making all the rest of us look like kindergarteners. Quote
