Eldervampire Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Well, I don't have any "new theme" to suggest. But in the new Space police line, there is room for expansion if they carry over to 2010. 1) The Diner from the mini-movie , log #3 2) A new mono-rail using the power functions to help off-set cost 3) Perhaps since it is more like lego city in space, a few elements like world city. A police station and Taxi stand for example.
HumanPackMule Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I wonder how well a City of Heroes/Villains type theme would go
user Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I wonder how well a City of Heroes/Villains type theme would go That would be awesome! But nothing similar to that will happen unless they just had a lego superheroes theme I can only imagine how many awesome minifig parts it would have.
Ezechielle Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I haven't seen Final Fantasy in "License themes"! Don't you think it would be a good idea?
HumanPackMule Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I haven't seen Final Fantasy in "License themes"!Don't you think it would be a good idea? Yeah, most AFOLs and TFOLs would love it. Not so sure about the KFOLs though
Tom Bricks Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I would love a super hero theme, and because the licensed ones never seem to last they should make their own. How about a superman type character with an "L" instead of a "S"?
sologuy369 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 GHOSTBUSTERS! Ecto 1 & 1A, rise of vedo, ghostbusters office... Possibilites ...

Xenophilius Studz Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I want to see the return of the LEGO Island theme, only there is little to NO Island Xtreme Stunts in it. It be based off the original game and LEGO Island 2 and would be a subtheme of City. LEGO Island 1 would feature a bunch of buildings and houses and cars. Heres some ideas: BUILDINGS Information Center (town hall) Police Station (Metro PD Station from 1996) Jail Beach Shack (LEGO set from 1996) Gas Station Bank Pizzeria Post Office Super 2 Superstore Residential House (Creator style with three different variations) Race Track (Fast Track Finish from 1996) Hospital All the buildings would be in a more Classic Town format. Vehicles would be ambulances, race cars, buggies, jet-skis, classic motorcycle, helicopter, bike, skateboard. They're would be impulses featuring the 7 main characters: Pepper Roni, Nick and Laura Brick, Mama and Papa Brickolini, the Infomaniac, and the Brickster. There would be the helicopter chase as an action-based set. LEGO Island 2 would feature less buildings and more action-based sets off of Castle, Adventurers, and Space BUILDINGS Space Port (from Space Port theme) Radio Station Jack O'Trades' Trademart There would be a battlepack of Brickster-Bots, impulses such as Cedric the Bull and a cannon and small sets like Pepper in the Speedster (Island Racer). The largest set would be the Brickster's Palace, that includes moving staircases, elevators and falling platforms. This is what I'd want LEGO to make.
zouave Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 A re-release of the Western theme and thanks to a few Studio Ghibli films such as Castle in the Sky, steampunk. Maybe some classic Castle to.
Eskallon Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I would like a LOTR/Hobbit theme in lego. The figs and the building's have huge potential.
Rijkvv Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I want to see the return of the LEGO Island theme, only there is little to NO Island Xtreme Stunts in it. THese set ideas sound great to me, however I'm afraid these won't sell. The CD-ROM is from around 1996, and I don't think TLG will take the risk.
Rarah Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Just a wish: I would love some decent space theme with 2 conflict sides but not like ufo etc I mean the new space themes are worth nothing :/. Or a return with new series of Mtrons and Blacktrons. The conflict is already existing and I think it´s the best one Lego ever came out with in Space. And it is still a very popular faction even if its several years old. We actually never saw a Mtron base :) And we never got Mtrons to strike back on Blacktrons so there is something like revenge waiting to come. If I don´t count Star Wars than there is no real space theme for some years now. New Idea: A future theme of world but I would rather make it in CYBERPUNK style which has like unlimited posibilities. The environment and atmosphere could be utopic with a major side of SYSTEM PEACE KEEPERS and the oposite side could be the rest outside world REBELS? or smugglers which live in poor condition but have hitech and are maybe mutated. But The themes would have to be decently colored no wild themes with extreme colours. The good side white or "clean" the other side Black and "dirty" colours. Just to bring in a feeleing of two different forces. Anyway I would love when Lego would come up with some theme which could last longer than 1-2 years :/ I saw on several pages voting for favorite themes and the new ones barely got more than 4% .. so i think Lego should try to look on the older sets why were they so good vs new sets why are they so bad.
Rarah Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I would really like to see a Starcraft theme.(For those of you who don't know it is basically Terrans(Humans) vs Zerg vs Protoss) For each of the 3 races there would be the one 'big' set which would be like the Terran's Command Center which comes with a few of the builder units (SCVs) Then maybe like a battlepack for each of the race like 4 Marines for Terrans, Zerglings for the Zerg, and some Zealots for the Protoss. The bigger units would be like 50$ the smaller ones like 20$. I know this is based of a game rated 'Teen' but Star Wars games are rated 'Teen', the movies were PG-13, and kids would probably buy these sets even if they didn't know what they were. Just some of my input. -Uberlag Good idea!! Definitelly this theme would be popular and has big potential. Who knows maybe one day we will have Starcraft in lego form :D the sets alone are already existing in the game :))) Really this is one of the best ideas I saw here. Starcraft has enormous fan base.
DarthSion Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Mortal Kombat, shouldn't be too hard to work a deal given TLG let TTgames make the lego games, and TTgames is owned by Warner Bros and they bought Midway when they went belly up. A deal with from software to make lego Armored Core sets. Insomniac, lego ratchet and clank sets, talk about constructo weapons. Barbie, so we don't have more threads on lego being more for males. Top Gear, that would be probably impossible given you really couldn't do much with it and the different car brands. Dump Ferrari and give us some cool cars, real stuff not boring all red cars, or the lame old beetle, a real car like Gumpert Apollo Sport, Koenigsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda F or the Bugatti Veyron.
Lordofdragonss Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Theme: Future vs Past Conflict: Cavemans vs Aliens who wants to steal dinosaurs. Sets: Impulses: Alien with laser cage and baby Dino Caveman with spear, nest, some Dino eggs Small set: Alien ambush: Caveman with spear, fireplace, Stegosaur, two bushes, some fruits, alien with blaster Medium set: Rhino Race- Two Cavemans( one with spear one with stone hammer) on Rhinos, Spaceship, two aliens (one with blaster one with medical tools), baby Rhino. Dino Rescue- 3 aliens, Big dish spaceship with light to scan dinos, , dino eggs, capsules with baby dinos in. One caveman on ptero with stone hammer. Biggest set: Cave: Cave baseplate with fireplace, some eggs and fruits, 2 cavemans, one baby Caveman, 1 alien on small ship. Alien design:
Tereglith Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) I'm certain it has been mentioned before in the thread by more people than zouave, but I would love to have a steampunk theme as well. Steampunk, treated with the same care and innovation as the Atlantis theme. If lego wants my money, that would be the way to get it. Edited December 5, 2009 by Tereglith
vicerobinson Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 would like to see a ring binder collector (I hope I translate it correct). Size of the papers maybe A3. It's easy to extend it with yearly updates, and it's also possible to edit older sets (for example if there is not yet a picture added). It could be cheap and there is at least one potential buyer.Simulation pret immobilier
DarthSion Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Hmm that gives me an idea, I don't know if the USA would know what I am talking about but the UK would, there are magazines which come out every two weeks and are in a series, like there was a stargate one and each fortnight they release a new mag with a dvd with some of the episodes on it, they are also doing it with star wars. Something like that would be cool. Here is a link of the star wars I was talking about. http://starwarsvehicles.deagostini.co.uk/
RocketClone Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 A return of the Western theme would be nice complete with Confederates!
lightningtiger Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 How about a new sub-theme to City, but still related to a past one. POLICE RESCUE I think we had enought of law just chasing baddies, they also preform a vital service in search and rescue. So a police 4x4, new helicopter based on the new fire one (both carrying rescue equipment) and a rescue scene like a fallen rock climber or someone trapped under a car wreck or a person who has fallen down a mine shaft. Another sub-theme to City could be, SHOPPING CENTRE We need more shops in our citys, girls want to build fashion shops and boys, things man-like - hardware stores, outdoor stores, auto shops and even a car dealer. A couple sweet Racers themes would be if a deal reached with them, AMERICAN CHOPPER Minifig Paul Sr, Paul Jr and Mickey, would be sick ! And the bikes with a build area and tools. TOP GEAR Would be more for the crazy fun aspect, of the three stooges and the Stig in crazy situations.
prateek Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 We need a SWAT team theme. Hardcore emergency task forces. FBI maybe too
DarthSion Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I doubt they would, making things American wouldn't do so well.
Mörs Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 My suggestions/ideas: THEMES: - Remake Adventurers (but PLEASE keep the same cast of characters, i.e., Johnny Thunder, Baron von Barron, Dr. Kilroy etc.) or make a new sub-theme for them... can't think of anything at the moment, though there HAS to be some exotic place on Earth that the Adventurers haven't "raided" yet... hmm... how about something in (South) Africa -- with lions and indigenous tribes and stuff like that -- or Austraila? Or how about a museum where they store all the stuff they sto- I mean, collected in all of their past expeditions? - New Wild West theme - Zoo sub-theme for Town - Ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt (pyramids...!) - Remake the Islanders for Pirates - A cavemen theme...? - Outback sub-theme for Town - An Arabic faction for Castle/Kingdoms (could use camels from the Prince of Persia line) - Mongols/Huns/barbarians...? SETS: - More village/civilian stuff for Castle, maybe a "forest" set with lots of natural stuff (things like built trees, rocks, waterfalls...) - More siege weapons (how about a TREBUCHET?) - An architecture (or whatever it's called) set with an Egyptian pyramid - A section of the Great Wall of China, minifig scale (that could be pretty useful!) - Some kind of modern ship -- military or otherwise -- minifig scale, very detailed and accurate - A pack of extra studless plates - A pack of extra flora pieces (there used to be one for Town in the 90s) Oh, and could you please quit making all those new licensed themes? Enough already! By the way, is it just me, or has most of the recent stuff from LEGO come out as a response to posts from this thread...?
LEGOMAN132 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Sky pirates. There would be two factions The Black falcons with a black and white or red color scheme. They mostly have airborne fighters launched from large or medium air ships and use they’re heavy single engine fighters to bring down the other air ships and capture the loot. And the Royal guardians with a Blue and white /grey color scheme. They tend to use seaborne fighters(similar to the savoia s-21) of all kinds to defend the port city but have some small airships for patrolling.
