Peppermint_M Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 A Castle Building Box. We need a big box full of bricks shades of grey, arches of different sizes, all sorts of different bricks alongside "roof" slopes in on colour. Then "special" parts doors and hinges, flags and windows, throw in a few basic soldiers in uncrested chainmail and some swords and you have a really good supplementry set to go with the new Kingdoms sets!
Scorpion Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 After seeing the "Build-a-Buzz" review, a thought popped into my mind. I don't know how the AFOL and Tabletop Gamer demographic intersect, but here it goes: LEGO BATTLETECH Allright, I've said it. I may be biased, but I think it would sell. After all, what kid doesn't love giant battling war robots?
Rick's Zoo Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 What NEW Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make? Hmm, speaking as an animal-fan , without doubt, more animals on Minifig-scale in many different themes!! CITY In sub-themes…. Farm: sheep, donkey, pony, goose…but not only new animals, also new machines / buildings. Australian Outback: kangaroo, koala, black swan [nice combination possible with the farmsets] Back in time, like this set: 6444 / 6490 New vegetation for landscaping, like cactus. ZOO: hippo’s, rhino’s, brown beer, pinguins, raccoons [for example “zookeeper with two monkeys” or “zookeeper with a ostrich” as a impuls set. “Zookeepers with rhino exhibit” or “souvenirshop with visitors” or “snackbar with visitors” (like 6683)as a small or medium size set etc.,etc. Holiday: I’d like the new mobile home, a continuation on this could be “car and caravan”(6388/6590), "tennis court", "small camping site" (tent plunder by brown beer or a bunch of raccoons). Citylife or in the Modulair-101sets: Bakery, postoffice, toystore, school, bikeshop, petshop, veterinary TLG is going well, it take's time and there must be a market for the new themes/sets, but I can't wait on the new pigs, ostrich and camels!! Friendly greetings Rick

After all, what kid doesn't love giant battling war robots? Might I introduce Exo-Force, the major reason why I never had a dark ages (the "M" is for Mecha). You might be able to find it somewhere but it ended last year/this year. It was rather good but came to it's natural end. That said another Mecha theme would rock but we might not see a pure mecha theme for a while to come. In the mean time, Google Battletech Lego and bask in the many MOC-ed delights.
Forresto Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I would love to see a civil war theme. Yes I know it was an American conflict but it could revive the western them which a lot of people want bur also add a lot more to it. It would be partly the wild west and the main civil war conflict. New beard and gun molds. Civilian life. Indians. An Ancient world theme could be cool. It could have sets based on different ancient civilizations like Greece, Rome, Egypt, China. This would appease many desire people have for such themes and combine them into one.
gus Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I'd like to see a CREATOR series castle, i like the current castles but a creator one would prolly be more detailed, plus you'd have three to build.

The LEGO Mech scene only really caught my eye with the Mech in the Agents line. Maybe a direction to follow?
Chef Hatchet Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Considering LEGO is putting out a lot of Disney-based sets.. LEGO Kingdom Hearts could be pretty awesome. I just hope they wouldn't make Org.XIII minifigs suck.
M'Kyuun Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Along with Peppermint M, I'd like to see another mech theme, albeit, much more sophisticated and refined than the very simplistic Exo-Force, which was , IMHO, better in concept than execution. It took LEGO in a new direction, which is always good, I think, as it breeds diversity in thought and design. Furthermore, as has been my habit over the last few years when LEGO gives us the opportunity to offer our thought, I'd love to see a well designed transformable mech theme at mini-fig scale. There are plenty of examples floating about the net to illustrate well that it can be realized practically. I wish, like with Exo-Force, that LEGO would take a gamble and push themselves to try their hand at a transforming theme. For some good examples, search "Macross" on MOCPages. Macross-inspired mecha in LEGO would be a dream come true. On a more conservative note, my wife suggested that modular museum sets, sold as modular themed rooms capable of joining with each other, built on a 6x6 baseplate and perhaps 2 stories tall (by mini-fig standards), would be cool. My wife is only mildly into LEGO, so I was pleasantly surprised when she made the suggestion. I'd love something like this: it'd be great as parts packs, one could pick and choose the exhibits they wanted, it'd be more affordable than a large set, it'd enable the designers to pack more detail into the exhibits. Additionally, a doublesided facade with historical styling (Greek columns come to mind ) on one side and an administration office on the other could provide the entrance for the museum, or stand alone as perhaps a govt building. Even though I know how folks loathe stickers around here, a sticker sheet with various agency designations, i.e. town hall, library, museum, etc, would come in handy.
Tell Me about it... Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 This is what I would like to see: Star Wars: A remake of Jango Fett's Slave 1. We have had enough of the Boba Fett Slaves. It would be nice if Jango's face was not a Clone Wars one. A utility droid pack (Protocol, Astro, etc.) because we also want some of these guys. Other: Some everyday gadgets (iPhone, Laptops, etc.) made into a brick form. It would also be nice to add minifigs that suit the set. That is all. Thanks TLG for a great 2009 and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! ~Tell Me about it
vexorian Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I'd love spyrius to come back as foes to space police. It could be a couple of sets in which the criminals have robots, a small one and a 'giant' one. Could combine the new mecha style with the old tank style, would be nice!
Legorski Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I wouldn't only want a ninja theme, but a whole oriental warfare theme, featuring oriental monsters such as dragons. More Samurai... ;o)
Ratshot Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I would really like to see a new Wild West theme and a military theme. I want Pirates to return as well
Mörs Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I want Pirates to return as well What do you mean? They alread have...
Forresto Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 What do you mean? They alread have... he means again.
LEGOMAN132 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I wouldn't only want a ninja theme, but a whole oriental warfare theme, featuring oriental monsters such as dragons. More Samurai... ;o) That would be great.
Ratshot Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 What do you mean? They alread have... The 2009 Pirate line was simply to commemorate the birth of Pirates back in 1989.
Dannylonglegs Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) I'd love spyrius to come back as foes to space police. It could be a couple of sets in which the criminals have robots, a small one and a 'giant' one. Could combine the new mecha style with the old tank style, would be nice! That would be great, and Blacktron's return would totally rock too! although now that one of the SPIII villains has a new Blacktron torso, it's pretty unlikely. I also thought that a fantasy era type thing, but in an icy terrain with blue orcs, and ice dragons, and the like!!! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited January 1, 2010 by dannylonglegs
Steel Dragon Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 n an icy terrain with blue orcs I second that idea! And taking inspiration from your moniker, how about Insectoids II?
user Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 how about Insectoids II? That would be fantastic! Imagine all the half organic creepy bug vehicles they could have! And maybe some moulded head pieces! But maybe they should have a completely new foe I'll need to put that on my list of things to draw second to the scrap pirates. But most of all they should make a horror movie/zombie apoc theme with Frankenstein's lab, vampires crypt, haunted house, zombie graveyard, swamp monster lair, mummies tomb, area 51 alien lab, and other sets as well!
lisqr Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) Although I would like to see a Chinese theme, I doubt TLG will get it right. The "Chinese" stuff from the oriental expedition is not very Chinese. But I think a Great Wall set for creator would be great. You can't quite get that wrong. I also like the steam punk idea from the list. It'll be an interesting mix of historical theme pieces and sci fi pieces. Plus, a Godzilla type monster attack city theme would be good. Not like dino 2010 with human vehicles fighting, but monster wasting buildings. Well, I guess that's not very kids friendly. Edited January 3, 2010 by lisqr
The Crazy One Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I would love a futuristic war theme. Like castle, but with planes, helicopters, stuff being owned. But then, that's my childish streak pouring out, Lego would never do it. Realisticaly, a Ninja theme would be great, but no Dragons!
Elander Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 More beauty Exclusive Sets (12+) for Castle Theme. For example: convent, church with bishop, farm, water mill, theatre with actors and audience, little castle with aristocrats , masked ball, Galileo Galilei with observatory, brewery with tavern, bakers shop And obvious Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit!
FireHawk302 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) Military. No specific countries, just generic jets, tanks, etc. Maybe some of the more iconic vehicles, like that plane who's name escapes me at the moment. In fact, part of me thinks that this is why TLC made a military battle pack for Toy Story, to see if it would sell. I personally think a Military theme would do quite well for LEGO. Admit it, we all know it, kids like military. We all do. Military would be a total cash cow for TLC. I can see it now, happy, smiling soldiers shooting the crap out of each other with super oversized machine guns. Oh, and hand painted camo bricks! Edited January 4, 2010 by FireHawk302
Mraz Skintas Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I too, would also love a generic military theme. Either a modern warfare (while it would be nice, not based of the game), or an apocalyptic one. Another thing I would like to see is the return of the Viking, or Ninja theme. Both themes were great IMO, but I was never able to buy any That's all I can thing of for now.... -'Skintas
