The Rancor Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I'd actually like them to continue with the Avatar license, there's so much potential in it, and so many new characters that could be made into minifigs. Just to add, if they happened to produce more at least release them in the UK!
Justin2224 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Well lets see, HALO!! The alltime best Video Game made. The Elites, Brutes, and Hunters should be brick built. merman Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 An expert Technic line. I mean: really big sets with over 2,000 pieces. Like one Technic Exclusive a year for the AFOL. For instance: a really big Supercar or Super Truck or a plane or a helicopter... Another idea: (dinosaur) skeletons made with tan angle connectors...
LEGOMAN132 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) A mini fig scale Aircraft them there are so many good aircraft they cold make. WW1 WW2 era theme or a futuristic WW2 them would be nice or Steampunk. And a new space theme to go along with MM like a new space police or rouge miners and some battle packs to build up mining crews. all the other ideas are cool. and i would like to see berets made for the police in sted of them having caps Edited August 17, 2008 by LEGOMAN132
Kingboy Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) Along the lines of Technic stuff, will some of the newer Technic pieces become available, even if only at Shop @ Home? The PF Motor Set is a great starter set, but the PF M-Motor and the PF Battery Box are available seperately already. The new PF Lights however are not. Availability of these parts, as well as other items like the new Linear Actuators (and perhaps the Technic bits/sensors from the WeDo set) as seperately available parts, even as S@H service packs would be fantastic. I have plenty of ideas that could make use of mulitple lighting pieces, but I really don't need a battery box and motor to go with each. Edited August 6, 2008 by Kingboy
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 As variety I really would like to see some old-fashioned buildings for the City theme. I mean: I'd like some City buildings (shops with apartments upstairs) in the design very similar to the nice CC styled buildings - but smaller and with typical City elements (open backwalls, nice interior, many minifigs, bycicle, car, ...). Well, I've been thinking obout this theme for I while now, and I think it is a fairly good idea;We now have city and so on with fiftythousand version of one fire station, but I think it would be good if there will some kind of 'family'/'normal-life'-theme. We do have the creator houses (which are really great!) but they don't have any interior or playablility value (which is made this way on purpose, I know, and I really love it, let it be like that). but for the younger children (or those who are still young inside :P) a more close to home theme would fit. I am talking about a " happy family" like theme. This could include for example: The sets would have quite a bit minifigures, because they play the key role in this theme, but not much more than average. [...] These are only examples (could be better), but there are uncountable possibilities with this theme, which makes LEGO possible to compete with Playmobil. It is also an oppurtunity to appeal to younger children and girls! Don't forget the first thing (young) children think of to build is a house, with a family, followed by a city. This theme doesn't really (yet) have a storyline or something like it, but leaves enough space for the creativity of the user. So, waddaya think? Jan I totally agree with you, Mr. Brick! We really need City styled apartment houses! BTW: A propos apartment house: Then you perhaps like my latest MOC Modern Twin House which I created with the LDD (I added it to one of the forms for the City ideas for TLG, too - hopefully copmike did include it in the form since I wasn't aible to do that ). CopMike Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Hi everyone! You have been great with all the questions and activity in the Embassy ! I have tons of Q for TLG but not so many answers. That depends on a couple of things: * It´s been (& still is!) vacation time * The amount of Q´s & requests coming in from a lot of people goes to a few who also need to find out information. So far this process isn´t really working. * One of the projects for the Ambassadors is to finetune this process. So what I´m saying is that all your input is highly appriciated, but it will take a while for the answers to get back to you. Please put up with this and don´t lose faith in all of the TLG people & Ambassadors in trying to do great things happen ! CopMike
Ecto Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Redwall. I'd love to see LEGO try to get the license for the 2011 movie, and Redwall is a fairly famous series with great opportunities for sets.
blueandwhite Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 While many of you are requesting countless new lines and licences, I have a far simpler request. I simply want to see LEGO support some of their existing lines for more than a few years. One of the biggest problems that I have with newer lines is that they aren't supported for very long. Lines such as the Vikings line came and went like a flash. I suspect that this has a devastating effect on a young collector who becomes hooked on certain lines. As a castle fan growing up in the 80s, I always knew that I could rely on a new set of castle sets in the following year to keep me excited. This trend seems to have died in the 90s in favour of randomly introducing short-lived themes that seem to have little or no staying power. Ice Planet, Rock Raiders, Time Cruisers, Dino Attack, KKI, KKII, and the Western sets are but a few lines that came and disappeared almost immediately. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel every year, I would like to see LEGO stick with some of the lines they currently have. It's hard to be loyal to a brand when they discontinue your favourite lines on an annual basis. If LEGO is going to introduce any new lines in the future, I hope that they plan on keeping with that line for more than just a year. This is where town, castle, space and pirates succeeded in the 80s and early 90s.
Zarkan Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Okay, here's a few of my ideas. Idea #1: I'd love to see a new space theme that combines elements from classic space and the design techniques from more recent themes like Mars Mission. There is a ton of potential for a theme like this, and it could go for many years. The theme would start out with two factions - a blue and grey faction with futuristic astronauts, and a red and black faction with evil minifigs like Blacktron. In later years they could add more factions like a space pirates faction and a new alien faction - each with varried colors and styles of design. Each faction would eventually get their own base and capital ship - and there would be lots of space ships, some rovers, and maybe some mechs more in the style of Battletech, not Manga and Anime. With the success of Mars Mission, it would be a good move to make a more versatile theme like this, and both kids and AFOLs would love it. Idea #2: A mini fig scale Aircraft them there are so many good aircraft they cold make. I totally agree. A theme like this would have tons of possibilities, and could be done in a non-violent way. There are so many different and recognizeable planes out there that the theme could last for a while. First year planes could include the Sopwith Camel and Tri-Focker from early aviation, the P-51, Me 109, and A6M Zero from WWII, and the F-14 and F-22 from modern aviation. The theme could expand outward from there, with more planes each year, and could also include a helicopter or two. And this theme would not be controversial if it was done less with the war outlook and more with the "classic planes of aviation" strategy. Kids could easily connect the dots and have dogfights without TLC actually telling them that they could do that. Idea #3: I want to see more classic town themes revisited in the new City style. A new Spaceport theme is a must - it has plenty of potential. A space shuttle, lunar lander, rocket launch, training center, shuttle piggyback, lunar rover, and a couple other kits would be included. I'd also love to see a new Race theme - one without fancy trademarks and with other race types besides cars. Dragster kits, Jetski kits, and maybe even airshow kits with racing planes would go alongside the essential car racing kits like a racetrack and car carrier. Another idea - new Diver kits. I really wanted to see a second Aquaraiders wave, but now the chance is gone for that. So a new underwater theme with realistic subs and boats would fit the bill nicely. There would be lots of playability, with sunken ships, coral reefs, and tons of normal minifig scale creatures. Finally, I want to see more expansions on some of the already established subthemes. A new emergency rescue wave is a must, with a big $80-100 hospital, a hospital plane, hospital boat, and a smaller road vehicle. I really want to see an Octan tow truck and tanker truck, and maybe even a giant fuel tanker ship. Speaking of which, some more Nautical kits to go with the harbor should be made eventually. A marina, tug boat, and some other boats like racers and fishing boats would be awesome. And some new transportation kits like a transport helicopter, airport baggage carrier, and post office would be great. Phew, took a while to type that up.
theestampede Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 (edited) Most importantly I want more Batman! (I want an official Adom West Batmobile lol) and some JLA sets, plus new pirates, and definitely Nintendo Edited August 17, 2008 by theestampede
Infomaniac Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I didn't bother to read through all of the previous topics so I hope I am not copying some ones ideas I would like to see some minifig customization sets. For example, a castle set would come with 3 types of armor, shields, headgear, heads and weapons. This would allow you to customize and put yourself directly into the world of lego castle. Infomaniac
splattergnome Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I would really like to see LEGO revive its short-lived Inventor series. It was the perfect combination between Creator/Designer and Technic, it contained interesting models and a good number of old-style classic Technic pieces in interesting colors. I could imagine a new Inventor range copying the old one, with four increasingly bigger (and more expensive) sets with gears, wind-ups, and motors, as well as a wide variety of parts in a certain color range and a huge book of model instructions and ideas. I love them - they were fun to play with, and were perfect part packs. If Inventor returned, I would buy multiples of each. Another theme I would like to see revived would be Designer. As much as Creator is taking over some of its territory, I really miss big boxes of multicolored parts with an interesting theme and huge instruction books, rather than the current "3-in-1" trend. I also miss the more creative sets such as the submarine set or the many many animal-based ones (dragons! wild beasts! dinosaurs!). There are simply too many cars and helicopter and buildings nowadays for my taste, bring back the monsters, robots, and animals, please! Designer is what brought be back to LEGO after all these years. A return of Classic Space-inspired sets is something everybody wants, so it is not worth mentioning anymore.
samthelegoman1 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 A Volkswagen Type 2 bus, a 1950s Diner, a clothing store, and some new modular buildings.
Cakeman Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I'd really like to see a new line with eithar a) steampunk, but barring that b) a victorian setting will do. Too bad that the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a few years in the past, there would have been lots of opportunity for different figs and sets. Oh well... actually I'm quite satisfied with the new Castle and Indy lines but a Victorian/Steampunk line would be cool.
hollisbrick Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Romans They would be great! Also, s a prehostoric theme would be awsome, a bit like the Duplo one..
pierre Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hi ,I registered just to put in this note to Lego. Some people have mentioned the game Halo. It really should be considered. Please contact Bungie, we gamers would eat up theses models. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this any where else on the forum but there is a guy from Rittman Ohio who has already created a helmet and a wrap around body mold for the main character and other secondary characters from the game and is selling them on Ebay !!!! . This person has also designed 2 smaller vehicles and just today I saw a new mid sized vehicle known as the Warthog and truth be told if I had the 85 bucks to drop on that vehicle I would. Creating a line for Halo would be a very profitable venture, there many different types of vehicles and tons of potential for new sets since the designers of the Halo universe are still creating new stuff for the game. If there was a way to get the word out to more people I’m sure more people would be recommending the looking into a Halo franchise.

GloriusShadow Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Some more serious military space theme,so more TFOLs wont slip into the dark ages so fast. Big mechs,(like the dawnforge theme) and tanks with futuristic details and fighter ships,Bases with serious look and other vehicles. The colors should be BLEY and some yellow stripes and such, greebles and they should be SNOT. Minifigs with heavy armor and high technological armor look and weapon look. No anime manga faces, they should be normal lego faces with a serious look. Thats what most teenagers would like. Maybe a little violent but their non violence is blown away anyways. AFOLs and kids(yeah kids, they dont hate non violent stuff, they love it) and teens would like this.
VBBN Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Most of old themes like classic space(the new galaxy police) and aquaraiders and castle, etc are coing back, so perhaps we should see the return of ninja's, Wild west(PLEASE!!), and Studio? I would also like to see another Mech Theme.

If there was a way to get the word out to more people I’m sure more people would be recommending the looking into a Halo franchise. We got 'nother one boys! READ THIS! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...t=0&start=0 I think we already decided that video game themes may tempt more kids to play video games (not necessarily bad)I don't really see why you need sets to play with when you already have a game to play with? I don't think I had...Anyway, I hardly think TLC are going to make sets of video games, excluding Star Wars which they have the licence for. Two of my reasons are: 1. A lot of the games suggested are violent, or not so much aimed at children, although children may play them. 2. TLC would be in effect making these sets, encouraging people to play video games, therfore putting them off Lego I don't feel like saying any more. Meh, this topic is just asking what you would like TLC TLG to make, so yeah, you may like them to make sets based on games, but it is very unlikely. Listen, I hate to dissapoint, but this will never, EVER happen. It would be amazing if they did, and I'm a big fan of Halo, but bottom line, this just won't happen. TLC won't pay for yet another license, and everyone whose saying that we need something to replace SW, thant's not till 2011 guys, 4 years away! Enjoy what we have now! Halo is not more violent than SW, that is just completely wrong. SW had blood, like what, once, in the Cantina, when that guy got his arm chopped off? Lightsaber wounds don't even bleed in the movies anymore, for God's sake! it just burns it off. Halo is greusomely violent, you can't disagree with that. Splatters, being slashed by swords, meleeing, rockets, guns, the Spartan Lazer even causes an explosion of blood! Plus, the Flood, basically the zombies of Halo, taking over the deceased and using them as hosts? That just screams gore, guys. And saying that kids see blood when they lose a tooth? How often does a kid not start bawling when they lose their first tooth? "Oh no, in SW, a few people lose a limb in the entire series!" Oh no, in an average Halo online match, 20 people get killed a minute. Blasters aren't even violent! One blast, there's a mark on you, and you die. Guns, you get shot a few hundred times with an AR, there's blood all over and you fall over dead in a pile of blood, only to be run over or repeatedly teabagged by the guy who killed you. Lego has always been aimed at kids, that isn't going to change anytime soon. It started as a childrens building toy. We all are just obsessed with them. That doesn't mean that TLC will aim at adults, just to make a little more money off an extremely violent theme. TLC is a family oriented company. Deal with it. That's just the way it is. To them, Halo is way out of the question, and badgering them about it will only discourage them from even giving the idea any thought at all. Their idea of catering towards adults is Tecnic and the new Architecture theme. I'm fairly positive that's the most they'll do. Sorry if this came off as harsh, but I feel pretty strongly about what I've said, and I'll gladly stand by it. DSR
Norrington Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Steampunk. As far as I know, the Jules Verne Extraordinary Voayages are in the public domain. So there's a start.
legopiotre Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I'd love to see an Antiquity theme with Romans, Greeks, Persans, Egyptians and Barbare. It would be great to develop both civil buildings with fora, temples, colosseum... and military ones : training camp, warships, and maybe heroes for the Greek. It would include sets to make huge armies : legions, cavalry, phalanxes... I also hope for a return of the viking and the Western theme, they were so great.
Tenorikuma Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Is the ambassador still reading this thread and relaying the best ideas to Lego, I wonder? At any rate, I'm bored of work so I'm putting in my two cents. No matter what themes Lego comes up with, the key to success, I feel, is quality models. The newest City sets are really good, for example, and I think some themes that were discontinued (like Harry Potter) might have been greater successes if the models had just been better. Original Lego Themes World Explorers — Make this a modern extension of the "Adventurers" theme. Have a team of explorers (and maybe some nogoodnik rivals as well) that search for sunken treasure, ancient treasures, and so on. This theme would be vehicle and location-oriented. Orient — An Age of Pirates theme that covers towns, palaces, and ships from the Far East — China, Korea, and Japan. This theme would be structure and army-oriented. Other Brand Themes Lord of the Rings — This one's a no-brainer; it's the only movie brand that has as much widespread appeal among children and adults of all ages as Star Wars and Indiana Jones, including the lucrative demographic of guys who like owning movie toys and merchandise. Like with Batman, a LOTR theme could be based on the books as well as the movies. Possibly the only fantasy brand with more fans than Harry Potter Narnia — This brand might be less popular than LOTR but provides a wider variety of fantasy creatures and animals. World of Warcraft — This theme would provide opportunity for numerous unique factions, from humans to elves to orcs. The downside is that certain markets (like Japan) will be largely unfamiliar with WoW.
Justin2224 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 A Modern Military theme with non anime heads. The Soldiers should all have packs and rank insignias. Acurate weapons and special designations (sniper, EOD, ect) That would be really cool. I would definately buy them all. So please LEGO.
