I have a few problems pertaining to the recent sets I got. The arms of the gold knight in Drawbridge defense are of a different plastic material and one of the bley 1x1 cylinders in the right arm of the Inferno robot looks like it was dropped in some type of dust and has a covering of a dark substance on it(the robot was direct from the store in a sealed box).

I guess this is kind of a rant on LEGO and their shipping policy.

Now my story has a happy ending thatnks to LEGO.

I ordered 4 chrome stormtrooper's and I lived in an apartment at that time, when LEGO shipped them (which I paid for) they went the cheapest way possible and the driver of the UPS truck left the shipment in the entry way to my apartment which has a lot of traffic. needless to say the shipment got stolen, so I called LEGO and they said they can't control the drivers actions and when I called UPS they said the shipper (LEGO) only paid for one attempt so the package had to be left. I would have been more than happy to go pick up my shipment had I been given a delivery notice slip.

LEGO did right this wrong by re-sending me all 4 of my stormtroopers. I am extremely grateful but at the same time, this could have been avoided if they just used regular shipping methods. I was'nt even aware that you could choose an option through UPS to have them only attempt one delivery, adn I've been using them for years and years.

I guess my question/complaint is shipping, don't trust that everything will go right the first time, spend the extra few cents to have the driver give it a couple tries.

UPS is not telling the truth. They have the responsability to deliver the items to you. How do you know the carrier did not stole the package ? UPS need to cover the failed shipping. It's as simple as that.

Hello dear Ambassadors,

I was wondering if you could please help me solve a problem.

I recently bought the Cafe Corner from the UK and had it delivered to Bulgaria via a friend (the local LEGO distributor company doesn't import exclusives). Unfortunately, the set was missing a brick (in tan colour) and instead had an extra 4x2 grey plate included which I think was never supposed to be an extra piece. Seeing as I can't contact the local LEGO distributors and ask for a replacement, I was wondering whether you could give me some information as to whether there is something I can do about that missing / misplaced piece? I'm a big fan of LEGO Exclusives and am planning on purchasing even more of those next year, but there's been some concering information from fellow LEGO AFOLs which suggests that missing pieces are something common to the Exclusives given the amount of bricks those include. That said, while elsewhere you could call your local LEGO customer service and have the brick replaced, that is simply not possible in Bulgaria, which has lead to this question.

I would be very grateful for any information you could give me in regards to that. Thanks in advance!

Dear Ambassadors:

A subject that has concerned many American Star Wars fans recently. I don't really know how the embassy works or anything, but here it goes:

Recently I've found it quite the troublesome that I can't go to a store and buy myself The sets 30004-6. In fact, I really want a couple of those 30005's.

Just days ago in the UK, the two most recent Lego Star Wars US promotionals were made available to buy. These two were brickmaster sets, and had around 90 pieces.

The Daily Mirror UK promotions were worth even less, though most Americans would be willing to pay a good price for that. The reason? They have minifigures.

I find it unfair and I don't quite understand how UK gets US promotionals, while US does not get UK promotionals, with Minifigures, the nucleus of all Star Wars Lego sets!

So, I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I'd really like to know. I can guarantee there are at least three other people wondering this right now.

I'm not an Ambassador, but I can tell you the solution is quite simple. Go to lego.com > customer service > replacement parts. Fill out the form and add the needed part(s) to the cart (when you choose the set, you will be shown a list of all parts in that set, so you can choose what you need). Then choose Bulgaria from the list of countries, continue, fill in your details, and TLC will ship your part free of charge.

It worked for me, and I'm from Serbia which is not even an EU country (yet), so I'm positive it'll work for you.

Thanks a lot! I've already done that, but it's good to have confirmation that this actually works. If this does indeed work out, I guess there's no need to contact anyone (other than via the website, that is), which was my initial wish.

In any case, I will post once again as soon as I get the requested replacement brick (or after that 3-weeks period).

I was wondering, why are the boxes (mainly SW) so big?

Also, I was wondering if there was going to be a Lego store opening soon because I have heard rumors..

Thanks :classic:

The main reason for oversized boxes is customers, which means children. They prefer to choose bigger boxes instead of smaller ones without considering what's actually coming in it. Though, TLG has recently made a new system of box sizes which minimizes storing costs. So there are fewer box sizes now. Sometimes they use the same size of box for smaller sets and at the same time for bigger sets. You're likely to see a 30 USD set and a 50 USD set in the same sized box. That's to keep storing costs minimum.

Contact customer support through their web site and they will send you replacements regardless of your country. You may also try purchasing them on Bricklink.com in case of emergency.

It's likely to be a stock planing issue like we had with castle/pirate calendars. But you can't just have everything in every country. Some will get some stuff and some will get others. You may feel it is unfair but it's just the way it is. Exclusives and promotions are produced in smaller quantities but they distribute them as much as possible. If it's not for sale in your country then it's probably sold out. Also don't forget that if distribution was equally done then you'd end up with way less sets in the US. So it's only unfair to others at the moment :)

I got the brick within a week from ordering it. Customer service has handled this perfectly :)

I was wondering... What's the deal with the advent calendars anyway? How come the US always gets the City one, but not the other? I'm sure this was answered somewhere before, but I missed it and am quite curious about it now.

And why are none of the board games available here?

About the SW promotionals: Is there still a chance they might become available here at some point or is the decision on this issue final? :sceptic:

I heard somewhere that TLG is testing the popularity of the board games in certain European countries before releasing them worldwide, which should happen at around the time the second wave of 2010 sets are released.

I was also wondering about the advent calendars and the Star Wars mini sets. Can an ambassador ask about them? :classic:

Because the retailers hasn´t been interested in it, so TLG can´t put stuff into the shops that the shops themselfs doesn´t want. And TLG hasn´t really been on it´s toes on this one, but next year it´s been said that the calender will arrive because the fans wants them and there´s a two-year turnaround time to plan a set into the schedule.
And why are none of the board games available here?
Only Great Britain & Germany for the first year as a sell tryout, worldwide next year.

Which ones? Promotionals are like the rest, there has to be an interest from a retailer, newspaper etc. TLG makes small sets all the time which they present to the retailers or suggest to a customer if TLG is approached about doing a promo thing. That´s why for example the 8029 Snowspeeder never made it into the real world, only instructions and a possible design picture:

tn_8029-1_jpg.jpg

The 8028, 8031 and 8033 did make it because someone wanted it, the 8031 by the swedish cinemachain SF where I found it in sept 2008.

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

This makes me wonder what theme the calendar will be next year... Maybe Atlantis? :oh:

I meant the 30004-6 which were talked about earlier.

So, if a retailer should decide that they want 'em in the future, it's possible they become available here? :sweet:

I've been subscribed to the LEGO Club magazine for over a decade. A few years ago, I occasionally didn't receive catalogues in the mail. I ordered a second subscription, and most of the time, only one catalogue came. In the past few months, however, I've stopped receiving magazines from both subscriptions. Both subscriptions got the winter catalogue in the mail this week, between one and two months after my next door neighbor received his. My question to you, LEGO, is this: What the F, man? I had to order issue four of Bionicle comics from toywiz because I never got my magazine, despite the fact that I should have gotten TWO (and I'll probably have to do the same for issue five as well)! What the F?

Sounds strange ! What have TLG´s customer service told you when you called them?

I would appreciate if TLG could make some more City sets for Brickmaster, instead of the Star Wars mini models. I mean, don't we have enough Star wars crap?
Wrong thread, use this one instead and please don´t call SW crap

Nice to see you post again friend. I would very much like an answer to this question as well. I'd also like to know if something like the 10210 Imperial Flagship is planned for Indy's going away party.

City is not a new theme, I do not want more sets, but Brickmaster sets.

I have the right to an opinion.

More sets=new sets. Off course you have the right to an opinion, I´m just saying this isn´t the thread for it. This is for quality issues etc. Please belive me when I write that, it makes my job easier=your chance to make a difference bigger :classic:!
Not sure if this was mentioned before but what about the non lisenced Battle Pack qualitys?
What about the quality?, a bit more information please if I´m going to relay this to TLG.
