I wonder if Logan is the blonde guy using the recoloured Ninjago hair piece?

Sounds like there will be different worlds in the Dream Realm if there's a Cyber World. Should lead to some interesting MOCs since we have Ninjago Prime Empire, Lego Super Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog, Overwatch and Minecraft to draw from

What if the normal-looking kid is Mateo IRL, and the other character with an 'M' on his outfit is Mateo's dream-avatar? Maybe the woman with the sword is Izzy's dream-avatar?

Just been looking at this pic where Vitiligo guy and Cap guy appear together. Though I think you're right about Izzy. Perhaps the one with the bow and arrow is Lunia?

Dreamzzz 43

The TV listings mention another real world kid named Cooper. Plus we have another image

IMDB has updated their episode guide for the show. New info on episode 2, and and additional episode 7 and 8.

Awakening

When Mateo's comic creation Z-Blob follows him from a dream back to Brooklyn, Mateo and his sister realize the Dream World is real and in danger.

Dream Chasers

After a daring mission to save their friend in the Dream World, Mateo and Izzie realize the nightmare has followed them back to the Waking World.

The Forgemaster

To craft their own hourglasses and become official Dream Chasers for the Night Bureau, Mateo and his friends must defeat the Dream Forge guardian.

The Dream Forge

As time runs out to face the Dream Forge and become official Dream Chasers, Mateo and his friends enlist the help of the mysterious Dream Bandit.

Peak Performance

The search for the Sandman leads Mateo and the others to the tallest mountain in the Dream World, but Lunia's hourglass puts a target on their backs.

The Anomaly

A surprise visit from the Chief Inspector of the Night Bureau forces Mateo to hide Z-Blob, who goes on an adventure in the heart of Brooklyn.

Cheat Code

A rivalry develops between Logan and Mateo in the cyber world over a computer game. And the Nightmare King has his fingers in the pie.

The Bigger Picture

The Nightmare King takes advantage of Logan's weakness in wanting to please the other Dream Guardians and manipulates him.

Reminder that anyone can edit IMDB, and that the plot summaries for Ninjago: Dragons Rising are obviously fake.

It looks like the 5 kids we've seen so far are in the same school class.

I guess we know what the Dream Bureau/Night Bureau (whatever it's called) and Dream Village (the polybag) look like now.

I like the detail that the real world version of the girl with the bow and arrows has a necklace with her Owl-like creature's face on it.

I wonder why The Nightmare King has lots of Soccer Trophy looking statues of Zane?

The Bureau seems to be like some Dream based branch of the FBI? I assume the character who looks like Principal Rose Davids from Lego Hidden Side is Chief Inspector Strick of the Bureau.

The green deer in Nya's dream is probably the green deer from the Stable of the Dream Creatures set

Now that the set leaked, it'd brick built and the colors look different. Does that mean we won't be getting an actual mold of the deer we saw in the clips, and we just get a brick built one? I want the molder one.

We got official dreamzzz footage!

https://youtu.be/FNsm2k8Pgks

And an official set image too!

Wow! Initial thoughts on the set..

New plant/leaf/vine pieces!

Love the hourglass staff

Red suit guy is Cooper, Mushroom guys have really long names

Looks like the kids don't have their shoulder armour/capes in this set

That deer doesn't look great, I was hoping for a recolour of the City Reindeer at least

The new hairpieces look awesome

If I saw just the building with no context, I'd assume it was for a minidoll theme. It's cool this action theme isn't afraid to go cute though.

I wonder what the plant/crystalline/mountain -esque structure in the sky on the cloud in the top right of the box is?

*

Initial thoughts on the footage...

Hope we get some of those smaller nightmare creatures to army build, looks like some of them have Lego Castle helmets in black. The one with the bat ears hairpiece has a cool face print, though it's body would be a whole new mould.

Hope the Pegasus is a moulded animal

Wonder if we'll get those larger shadow gargoyle things in sets? They don't look like they'd translate to a Lego build very well?

The red monster truck looking thing with teeth would make a cool set

I wonder if the big black star shaped thing is the Nightmare King's castle, or just a large enemy?

*

I hope the sets sell well. After the amount of design/tooling/marketing Lego has put in to Dreamzzz; I feel like if it flops, we won't see another original theme for a very long time.

Wow, the new set pic looks gorgeous! I'm a little torn—the last thing I need is another theme to collect beyond Ninjago and Monkie Kid, but this first set reveal is definitely pushing the right buttons to get me to like it.

I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. Not because this theme is a guaranteed success, but because it's far from the first "big bang" theme to get this sort of up-front investment and I see no reason to assume it'd be the last.

The set looks really good and has me very excited for the rest of the theme. This really feels like a breath of fresh air for a new LEGO theme and the possibilities are endless. That's really the smartest thing about a theme built around dreams and the fantastic: you could literally come up with anything to put into the theme and it will fit. A lot of big bang themes have suffered from having a really weak 2nd or 3rd wave because all of the best parts of the idea for the theme come out in the initial wave. With this, there's no creative corner to get forced into because the premise is so open-ended. Heck, they could even use this as a way to include sets inspired by past beloved LEGO themes in an almost meta sort of way. Or even if they don't go that route, the possibilities are just endless and I imagine as a set designer, that has to be very exciting and fun.

The bigger sets of the wave are all I wanted and more. The spacebus is very cool and much sleeker than I thought it would be, the treehouse is a base done right, with what looks to be themed rooms for the characters and some awesome plant life, and the shark ship is the best of them all, satisfying my need for both a pirate ship and an awesome villain set.

The animal vehicles are sweet too, and I love the enemies, especially the little tiny evil guys.

The smaller character builds/mechs are pretty nice too, with Z-blob being my favourite and Bunchu being the weakest set of the wave for me.

Off to a strong start imo

The starting wave has leaked! Everything except the ‘Z-Blob and Bunchu’ polybag, it seems.

These are all gorgeous. I have no idea what I could possibly do with most of them, but the treehouse is great, the vehicles are great, Z-Blob the Robot is epic, the Nightmare Shark Ship is bonkers in the best way. I can’t wait to get up-close pictures of the minifigures, especially the racer outfit one that looks to be exclusive to the Racecar-codile.

A big recurring theme seems to be ‘fantasy versions of the characters rescuing real-world versions of themselves from monsters’, it seems like almost every set has some kind of cage or something trapping an ‘ordinary civilian’-looking figure, and some of them are identifiable as the same main characters sans dream gear. That’s a great way to give us both versions of each character, I approve!

One more set has been revealed, Dream Village (40657). I love that this theme has a lot of location based sets mixed in with the vehicles and creature builds.

Nice to see more of the little dream guys, I’ve just noticed they hold things under their arm which is pretty funny.

Side note: Pegasus Flying Horse is such a funny name for a set.

Just saw the product line and pricing... I don't see this theme having much longevity.

The markup on pricing is more than licensed sets.

Kinda funny as I thought that the pricing is one of the best aspects of this theme.

Looks like every set has alternate models/modes (not all completely rebuilt but still reconfigured a bit). That's interesting.

The new joint pieces are interesting, and I love the zaniness of the theme overall. If the series is good I may well end up collecting this.

I’m currently reading through the brickset article and trying to match names to faces. The little guys (officially dreamlings and grimspawn) have names too. The spacebus set has some of my favourite

- Denny (the spaceman grimspawn, as in Benny, Lenny.. etc)

- Captain Bedbeard (the pirate grimspawn, named after Redbeard)

- Albert, who I believe is the space chimp

Honourable mentions are the grimspawn Flight Knight and Susan(?).

Lots of fun references to classic Lego themes and characters.

I believe the evil little guys are called Grimspawn (one of them is referred to as that), not Grimlings.

How so? The sets have higher markups than licensed sets.

Original themes are supposed to be cheaper relative to licensed sets, but it's clear Lego is frontloading the costs of a new theme, i.e. R&D and marketing onto the first wave rather than spreading out the costs over the lifetime of the product line.

Now we have the names of the characters, we know this isn’t the case. The trapped civilians actually seem to be the classmates of the main cast. That’s more exciting in my opinion, as it allows for more characters to be developed upon.
