TeriXeri Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) That video really gives me a vibe that the Nightmare King is like a variation of Jestro/Monstrox and the Dream Heroes are like Time Cruisers/Hidden Side , trying to stop it, with those hourglass powers being a little bit of Nexo Powers etc. That's how I feel about this theme at least. But that's not a bad thing, it's interesting overall, and no focus on apps. Also, sets like that Turtle Van, and Crocodile car, really makes this theme the incarnation of that whole "Rebuild the World" campaign LEGO has been doing for a couple years now. Lemerbrix Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Dreamzzz is on Netflix folks! Now to binge the series while waiting for my Amazon package to be delivered Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 So apparently Dreamzzz will get its own magazine. There is a 16 pages special issue comming with the Lego Star Wars Magazin. It introduces the charakters and there is a comic. It also says that soon there will be a an official Lego Dreamzzz Magazine. Quote

Cool! also, slight spoilers for the dreamzzz tv series Spoiler In episode 9, Logan is revealed to have 2 moms, as cooper says his phone only goes straight to voicemail when he’s at the hamptons with his moms, yes, plural love how we’re getting some LGBTQ rep in dreamzzz! Edit: logan's moms were mentioned in episode 7, I missed this because I thought izzie was referring to the whole team, not just Logan Edit: here’s the episode that dropped today, the other 9 are on Netflix Edited May 16, 2023 by Lemerbrix Quote
monsterverse13 Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 After watching the first few episodes I really want buildable hourglasses. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Only on episode 6. But got a theory Spoiler Logan never got an hourglass. He's totally gonna be the one to use Lunia's Quote

Nice, Nexo Knights did have magazines as well, which actually had unique things like some mini vehicles , builds and figures not straight up copies from the sets. Hope it's the case here as well, unique builds, and a bit of altered variants of characters (could be as subtle as a mix of parts from sets, a hairpiece, or weapon build or flag/anvil side build), or a full unique mini vehicle like this : Edited May 16, 2023 by TeriXeri Quote
BrickFit26 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Has it been explained why Logan transforms into a blue being in the dream world yet? Quote
Albert with an A Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Can we expect each wave from Dreamzzz to coincide with a new season??? I could definitly think of a couple of sets from season one that have not appear in this initial wave Quote

I could definitly think of a couple of sets from season one that have not appear in this initial wave Nexo Knights did have season 1 and 2 in 2016 of a similar style with lava monsters and season 3 and 4 lightning monsters taking a different turn on the main story in 2017. (2018 was a different case as the show was canceled, but there were still some new sets with cyber-tech-vampires and 9 magazines released in europe with comics) But there was also a lot of media content shown that was never made into LEGO sets at all, and I don't just mean the sea monsters or forest monsters, but also characters and locations that were in the show and multiple maps and books. (and also a whole bunch of monster types only shown in the game) But of course it could also be more like Monkie Kid, where multiple villain types appear in multiple seasons/waves of sets, not strictly in the same year in the case of Spider Queen, Lady Bone Demon, or Dragon of the East. Also there have been many variants of Staff builds and White Dragon Horse vehicles (Jets, Car, Dragon) across each season, which makes me think Bunchu and Z-Blob already appearing in different forms, will get more set variants later as well Edited May 17, 2023 by TeriXeri Quote
thekeeperofthereaper Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 the 2 main sets on my list are the nightmare shark ship and pegasus flying horse im just a sucker for villain themed sets there are others im interested in but they may go down in price if i am lucky i have seen all the tv episodes and enjoyed them and while not revealed yet in the show i expect a set based on the mentioned dream sanctuary Quote
Lemerbrix Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 I think my day 1 purchases will be z-blob the robot, bunchu the bunny, and the Pegasus flying horse Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 These are genuinely amazing; literally all of the sets look spectacular, with the only low-ish point being the Spacebus, which I think could have been whackier and more like an 80's-90's Space alt-build! Speaking of, I really like how each set has alternate configurations (which seem to feature in the show as well, making them feel less like the afterthought that alternate models can sometimes be). Thoughts on the show later, once I have watched it (it seems like a new episode comes out every three days on LEGO's YouTube channel?). Quote

Logan doesn't transform. If you look closely at the Crocodile car, inside is a driver wearing a ironman-like helmet. That is Logan. He's wearing the same checker pattern as Logan from the waking world. Quote

BrickFit26 Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Yes. Logan is the kid with the blue backwards hat. Quote
Lemerbrix Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 While on the subject of Logan, in episodes 9 and 10 he is shown without his hat, and appears to use a modified version of the soldier 76 hairpiece, potentially being Jack's hairpiece from hidden side, tbh for hatless jack I just used tracers hair from overwatch Quote

neithan Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I*ll wait for the inevitable discounts on the sets. Some seem to offer good value for money, other just feel way to expensive. But give it a few weeks or months and I`m sure you can get alle the sets with at least a 25% discount. That will be my time to move.^^ Quote

Idk, probably Walmart, Lego stores only put sets on sale if they are selling horribly (cough cough, black panther bust, cough cough) and I definitely know a lot of people will be buying dreamzzz (myself included) so the theme will probably not be on sale at Lego.com anytime soon anyway, I’m probably going to see if the nightmare shark ship or space bus go down before I decide to get either, would probably get the crocodile car to round out the main team (minus mr oz) Quote
