Thanks for the link, super interesting new parts!

The plant pieces looks especially good. I like that the big piece looks kinda leafy, kinda feathery, and kinda fiery. Seems versatile. As intended I'm sure.

The Terry Pratchett Nac Mac Feegle reference at the end of the article is so good. Haha.

Not only do we get amazing sets, but those figures are great! Might be another theme I need to get all the sets. :sweet:

I like these minifigure parts (including Z-Blob,  Logan, Albert and Dreaming Mushrooms)! They are so fun and colorful.

I do love a lot of these set designs and I am hoping that the launch LEGO has for this means it will be in lots more shops (aka competitive pricing). So, I think buying them all is on the cards

PAB will be for bonus parts

Agreed. And I’m already looking forward for the Wave 2, which it means….more new parts, more new colors, hopefully.

by the way, what is that little body allied? It says “Little Dude Body”. Is it not a baby figure body, no?

No, baby bodies can't hold things and have much smaller heads.

Yeah, I do hope this is a much wider release instead of something like Monkie Kid.

Also a magazine would certainly be nice to get some unique minibuilds, or rarer parts/figures, Nexo Knight magazine in particular had some awesome mini builds that were not directly found in sets but fit into the theme really well. (as well as some story not directly found in the tv show or other books)

My biggest hope for a second wave set would be some Nightmare King's Fortress , a Black castle with those purple and white accents and yellow eyes, could certainly be interesting.

Maybe the 2-in-1 approach of such a fortress could be a bit like the Fright Knights castle, a wider approach, or a big tall tower (with a big yellow eye akin to Sauron / Warcraft Old Gods) , Nightmare king does look a bit like either Sauron or Lich King, and both LOTR and Warcraft had references or a big spire with an all-seeing eye to watch the region.

Honestly, something I would want for dreamzzz’s 2nd wave would be a mech battle set, a combiner mech for the dream chasers, and a smaller mech for the nightmare king. The combiner mech could split into smaller vehicles/animals for each of the heroes

The last day of June is tomorrow so we hae about one month until DREAMZzzz sets are finally avaible  i can’t wait to have my hands on a few sets. I just an’t stop staring at amazing minifigure parts and accessories…

I have been thinking of RR Sluggers Dreamzzz TV show review alot recently. In particular the suggestions on different plot points to make the show better.

And it got me thinking... Lego should just lean into their fan base with their media tie-ins by: 1) release their themes narrative in comic/tv/etc form 2) release the raw 2D and 3D assets for fans to build upon and improve just like their toys.

Relatedly, I really liked how Cheesey Bricks approached his review of the Dreamzzz wave.

The latter half of that statement would make the clone brick makers jobs even easier to steal Lego's ideas. Releasing the story bible / art assests for shows also has never happened for any Lego theme, ever. They reuse ideas that don't get told, so why would / should they tip their hand potentially years / decades* in advance? Not going to happen.

*I say decades because the Vikings theme was originally supposed to happen in the mid-80's. It didn't get released until 2006 for a great many reasons. LEGO never lets anything die, they hold onto EVERYTHING.

Interesting! Is there a good source to learn about that?

OMG! Have you seen THIS! 🤯

I read it in "The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks", a official LEGO book which you can't really get anymore. They opened up the preorder in 2019 for less than six months (I think?), and however many people ordered them was how many they made... That's all.

I just got mine this year.

Is there going to be a GWP set when the Dreamzzz officially comes out next month?

We've seen unused concepts for Nexo Knights and Chima. The Chima concepts ended up being modified for a couple of characters in year 4 of Monkie Kid

Iwould be interested if they do a DreamZzz GWP in the same fashion they did with Monkie Kid GWP a few years ago.

That polubag would be nice. Wasn't there a mushroom village set that could be a GWP set?

Is ther a rumor?

No. It's listed as a set on the LEGO shop site. It's called Dream Village. I thought for some reason it was going to be a GWP.

Dream Village is one of the sets at the top of my wishlist.  I'm really liking a lot of these sets.  Reminds me of a mash-up of Elves & a little Hidden Side.  Missed out on the Nexo Knights stuff as it was mostly during one of my Dark Ages.  I never could find any sets in that theme that interested me enough to actually buy.  As a Castle fan they were a bit to mechanised for my liking.  I'm not into mechs so I'll be skipping the Dreamzzz sets that contain that style of build .  Hopefully any interesting parts from those sets will appear on PAB.

It does have the typical GWP set number in the 406xx range, but the same set number range is shared with LEGO exclusives (for example 40650: Land Rover Classic Defender)

I think since this is shown as coming August 1st, and listed as an exclusive set, I think it's just a regular set, but exclusive to LEGO (which also explains the somewhat better price ratio, and also lack of pre-order on just this set)

Yes, Dream Village is the only lego-exclusive set from the first wave of Dreamzzz Sets.
So the only one I have to order from lego (already preordered some of the sets with a 15% discount and some nice goodies).

The potential Z-Blob GWP Set isn`t that spectacular bceause if you buy some of the sets, you already get some copies of the Figs. But nonetheless nice to have if the threshold for it isn`t that high. But otherwise, I have the good situation here in Germany that most of the Polybags can be ordered from sites like jb-spielwaren. So no need to spend too much money on the lego site. :-)
