As cool as a theme based around hallucinogenic entheogens would be (imagine all the trans-neon elements).. It sounds fake, Lego don't have the balls to do something that edgy.. But thanks to Chima, Lego has plenty of moulds for chimp characters, so could be true? Quote

Also, just copied this from a google search "Titan is one of the main characters from the 2008 computer-animated film, Space Chimps" . So there's a precedent for the word Titan being associated with chimpanzees. Monkeys have been sent into space, so I could imagine Lego going with that idea for a new spaceship theme, even if it's a dream travelling rather than space travelling ship? Makes me think of Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 This sounds fantastic, the potential this theme has is endless. Not sure about the fact that they are tripping on mushrooms tho Quote

Minus the app thing. Colorful, playful, funky figures in their own world Vidiyo figures and pieces were amazing, the set design was a mess and a figure for $20 was just stupid. The prototype sets that the designers showed off were great, so it's clearly not the designers fault. Quote

I always wanted a time travel theme that has ships and bases like Time Cruisers but then the sets would be different periods in time. That way we can get Atlantis, Greek, Roman, castle sets and even space. This is pretty close but even more wild. I can't wait to see it. Quote

Maple Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 LEGO already has a theme about people tripping on mushrooms, it's called Super Mario. Quote

It was Lego's most metal theme before 2023 Lego Friends introduced the serial killer character attacking a dog with a wrench to add it's skull to her collection Quote
TeriXeri Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) Dreams as scenarios is actually very clever, not as bound by historic time periods compared to time travel, and yet can still visit said historic scenarios as well, but also go other directions like older LEGO themes (or inspired on such), or just really weird stuff like the LEGO Movie aliens and duplo monsters. Very much this. If they do this theme right, it could be so great, especially if they use it as a means to reach back into older LEGO themes and bring some elements back/have sets based around them. Gives basically unending possibilities for what they can do. Edited January 5, 2023 by NoOneOfImportance Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Sounds a lot like Time Cruisers, but actually good Hoping for cool new colourful parts, and hopefully some new animals or fantasy creatures too (unicorn anyone?) Quote

Exactly. Just think about one dream being an Ice Planet ship (I really want a new Ice Planet ship), but it's a dream so it's flown by a Unicorn. At the same time though it could turn into a mess like the Vidiyo Pirate ship. But if the rumours are true I'm very looking forward to it. Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Apparently, a focus-tester decided to post information about the theme on Reddit; it has now been removed, but some information has been preserved via the Wayback Machine: Quote "I participated in a focus group to preview a new Lego TV show and set theme. Lego Dreamzzz. AMA I was fortunate enough to participate in a focus group where I was able to view an extended preview of a new TV show coming at some point in the next year. It is called Lego Dreamzzz(yes, three Z's). In addition to this, they showed us some of the sets and also a storybook that went over the basics. Mateo and Izzy are the main characters and apparently, they can enter their dreams and....well, go on adventures. Feel free to ask any questions." Subsequent questions and responses: Quote Q: "how would you describe the overarching vibe? it is a mix of themes?" OP: "Kind fantastical" Q: "what’s the general colour scheme? Is it more neon or pastel stuff like that" OP: "I'd say very bright colors, neon-like. It's not a dark set or TV show, very bright." Q: "why should I believe you" OP: "You don't have to. Check these details later: Mateo and Izzy and Z-block(?)* all enter dreams through a door that sprouts purple mushrooms. The go there with their science teacher from school and can travel in their own dreams. "I'm not a wizard, I'm a science teacher." was one line. "Dreams shouldn't involve this much exercise," was roughly another line." Q: "Question for OP: What kind of feel did the preview and the sets give you? Were they tied to a more specifiek sub theme?" OP: "It's a brand new theme. The show was like Ninjago, but honestly did not seem all that funny. All footage was from the first episode." Q: "Is this the theme that was code named “Titan”?" OP: "They did not say." Another comment (I am not sure what the question was): OP: "No, and I meant to say z-blob, not block. It's a little green bunch of goo that is pill shaped when we first see it, but changes shapes." Quote

Lego has horses with a hole in the head, all we would need is a horn piece that fits the hole. So... a boy, a girl, a scientist and a creature sidekick... What could that remind me of? Hope it's at least as good as Hidden Side. It seems like Lego believes in it more than Hidden Side since it's getting more media. I'm cautiously optimistic. Hopefully it gets the same amount of love from Lego that Ninjago and Monkie Kid get Quote

I'm expecting them to have to go up against someone with a name like "Lord Nightmare", "The Boogyman" or "Frightmare" and his minions trying to turn good dreams into nightmares. Maybe we'll see an evil horse, a literal Night Mare? I wonder what new moulds for creatures we'll see that could be recoloured for other themes like Monkie Kid/Harry Potter/Ninjago? I can imagine that if the theme features chimpanzees like the rumours suggest, they'll probably have the hairpiece from Sun Wukong in the Monkie Kid theme. Unless they resurrect the Gorilla heads from Chima? Edited January 8, 2023 by Killian Chimps don't have tails Quote
