Hi everyone,

I've been building the past few weeks.
For Skaerbaek (event in Denmark) I want to have a small landscape inspired by the catalogs.

I've build a Shark Scout.

The first module for the landscape is finished as well.
I wanted to create the rocks from the catalogs.

This module can be taken apart in smaller modules for transport.
Feedback is appreciated.

I had 3 of those little aquashark scooter sets so very recognizable, the blue rockwork looks great, especially since the lines go vertical on the cliff it looks like the texture from the catalog pictures.

That is a cute update to the old set. I have fond memories of playing with my set as a child.

Also, that rockwork is a great piece to display from, the two blue shades really give the impression of a deep ocean.

Thanks for sharing :classic:

Thank you both!

I have finished my Aquashark.
The model should have something of the big shark from 1996.

I want to bring the Aquazone layout to Skaerbaek (event in Denmark).
On Saturday is a dark hour.
I have added light to the shark and hopefully I am present during the dark hour to turn them on.

Finally, my landscape is completed.

It took some time.
I was a bit struggling with the Aquanaut Submarine.
And giving the subs a place in the landscape was a challenge as well.

For more pictures, look into my Flickr album.

The landscape was shown at LOWLUG XL last month.
At the end of this month it will be present at Skaerbaek Fanweekend.

It was a hectic month.

One build for Comic Con was not finished.
The warmth and hayfever causing a decrease in productivity.

And there was Aquajune.

The last day of the month, but I have finished my Sea Scorpion.

I hope to post more pictures soon.

Really great Aquazone builds!

The Aquashark is amazing and of course that dio is excellent!   There's got to be a cost effective way to get the "true" hexagon rocks from the catalogue pictures, but your use of slopes in those landscapes works very well.

Thanks!

I was not aware the rocks were hexagons.

I can say that blue slopes, bricks and plates are not expensive and easy to get.
There are more plans for this theme, but not in the coming months.

In most builds and settings, I'm not enamored with the ultra-smooth, only-slopes-and-curved-slopes-showing terrain. But for Aquazone, it matches the catalog backgrounds! And dark blue wasn't even a color back then, so it wouldn't make sense in the main submarine builds... But in the terrain, it looks very good!

There is an update!

53771340485_bfa1e0a63d_c.jpg

The Aqua Drill of the Aquaraiders.

I'm planning for a larger rock to separate the Aquanauts and Aquasharks from the Stingrays and Hydronauts.
Aquaraiders will be present in both 'worlds'.

There is more on the way.

For now this is my latest build.

Another update:

I want to show some small submarines of the Aquanauts.

53772665077_0d53e0b369_z.jpg

It is my version of the Sea Sprint 9.
It was quite the challenge to build a small cockpit that has small/no gaps.

My first approach to the Sea Sprint was this:

But that turned out differently and now I call them the Sea Hoppers.

Another update:

I was busy with my own version of the Crystal Scavenger of the Aquaraiders.
I tried to capture the shape with other elements and wanted to use the octagonal pieces as much as I can. Unfortunately I had to leave out the drill and saw elements of the set.

There are other pictures of this build in my Flickr album.

Thanks!

My two latest builds:

The Sea Crawler

53780356473_6259062b4c.jpg

I wanted to do something with the yellow wheels.
The cockpit can turn and the wheel can be adjusted in hight and angle.

The other build is the Solo Sub

53781272696_fcc1b75801.jpg

The original set has less shape and fewer pieces.
I wanted to add more shape and the grey color.
Grey is used in the larger submarines of the Hydronauts.
The fins follow the shape of the cockpit piece.

For more pictures please look into my Flickr album.

Let me know what you think of the builds!
Feedback is always appreciated. :classic:

@The Reader No, except the one you see.

A new module is finished.
This is the fourth module combined with the second module.

On one side the Aquadrill is drilling in the rock.

On the other side you can see the elevated platform where Aquashark scouts can be parked.

I hope to finish the other module this month.
Feedback is appreciated.

These are all so beautiful and evoke the spirit of the theme so well. I was a big Aquazone fan as a kid and you've definitely done the theme justice with these builds. It'd be a treat to see all these modules and vehicles together in one big display. I'm excited to see the next update!

Thank you all for the kind words.

I'm affraid that the big rock I was working on, is too big to photograph in my current setup.
I think I will get some decent pictures on Lego World (later this month).

But I do have a small update.

A small rock with the Recon Ray.

A larger update:

I've build my own version of the Hydro Search Sub.

54067180760_835fe901e6_c.jpg

It has a detachable sub and storage for containers.
I've build some rocks to position the Hydro Search Sub better.
