Posted July 31, 20222 yr The Space Police theme existed three times already. Sets have been produced to this theme during 1989, 1992 and 2009. In today's review I'm introducing set 5982 - Smash 'n' Grab to you. The set includes 188 pieces and two minifigures. Is it still worth the purchase, these days? Box, instructions and stickers: You can see the set on the box very clearly. On the back of the box you can see the play features of this set. We also get two instruction books, which is easy to understand. This set also includes stickers. Construction: The set is very easy to build. The set should be done after 20 minutes. At the end you get a small selection of extra pieces. Minifigures: There're 2 minifigures included in this set: an astronaut and an alien. The torso on both figures is printed on both sides. Even he head of the astronaut is printed on both sides. The selection is very neat. However, the space police officer doesn't have a vehicle to stop the alien. The Set: The set offers a good playability. There's an ATM machine included in this set, which can be dragged away with the speeder. The ATM itself can be opened. Even the spaceship has some playability: There're flick fire missiles on each side, which can be shot. On top of it, there's a spot to put the tools on each side. As mentioned before, there's no spaceship included for the astronaut. Conclusion: I think, the set has been well made. It's sad to see, that there hasn't been an original space-theme from LEGO for a while. But who knows: Maybe that could change in the future. What do you think of this set? Here you can read my review in German.
August 2, 20222 yr Thanks for the review! The black & yellow always made me want to believe this was a pimped out Blacktron ride.

I always hoped for a Blacktron return during the last space police era. Who knows, maybe the villains actually worked for the Blacktron...
