I don't think it would not qualify; we use DQs pretty sparingly and only for something that clearly breaks rules, but you may run the risk of a slightly lower score if the judges feel that you departed too far from your original.  And then again, we might think it's an epic creative upgrade.  It's a fine line.  Personally, I would think just a chariot would be a great logical addition to the original concept; if you put it in a massive battle scene, I'd probably think you went over the top.

I was only planning on doing the chariot - no battle scenes from me!

By the way, I'm currently building entries for BricksCalibur. Would it be ok to "double dip" and use my Frozen Wilds category entry for this contest's "Miscellaneous" Category?

General Rules:

-As stated in the previous preludes you need to have at least two other Guild mocs that aren't entries for joining this challenge.

So, this challenge/ contest is NOT for Newbe's into the Guilds of Historica?

Oh, newbies are surely welcome! But the two Guilds mocs rule is a standard rule that helps prevent random people that have no intention of committing to the Guilds from snatching up prizes, and then leaving. If you would like to join Guilds of Historica (I don't think you joined yet, right?) and participate in this contest or future ones, just choose a guild and start building! :classic:

It's been a long time since I participated in GOH. My last freebuild was at the end of 2016 and my guild was Nocturnus but it's closed now if I understand correctly. I'm asking if I can participate and choose a new guild because it looks like fun to participate again.

Of course!  You're more than welcome back (especially if you join Varlyrio    Just kidding, we'd love to have you back wherever!)

Hey guys,

I am afraid I am still a bit confused about the Cedrica standard. Do all 4 sides need to contain the technic brick distribution as mentioned before?

I do not see how this matches with the full edge of water I see in some mocs.

Two sides should. That way it can connect to other modules along a block, like the Ninjago City modules do (and maybe the regular city modulars, too?) You can choose which two sides. For example, I am working on one that is a corner module, so the Technic bricks are on adjoining sides, but someone making a middle section would want the Technic bricks on opposing sides. Does that make sense? If not, ask more questions. :classic:

Ah makes sense, I had assumed it should connect on 4 sides.

Other question is about the path height, saw 2 bricks 2 plates mentioned in your earlier post, but also saw people with bigger/smaller sizes.

My idea for a build is either 3 sided or corner, will look into it

As far as path height, if you stick to the “Cedrica Standard” (a.k.a. what Ninjago City sets do) then the two brick two plate height is correct. However, it’s probably not the biggest deal if you were to vary from that a bit.

To keep it "classic" the deadline is extended to March 31st!:innocent:

Thank you sir for keeping in line with this excellent tradition! :classic:

But I suppose it also means no excuse for not making an effort in at least 2 categories

Wait, what? I had an idea for category C that I have not not even started because it would take too long to complete by the end of february...I guess it's time to build it now!  :excited:

Oh God damn!

And I was worring, to miss out this! Wao.

To be fair: I'm done with A and B, and was almost uploading. them, just needed a story for them.

But now I will try to do the cat. C too.

Bah, it was a damn long year so far... Thanks for the extend!
